Unfortunately after that I had a lot of issues with the special event team being unresponsive. I would have to wait weeks for a reply, even after sending multiple follow-up emails. There was a large discrepancy in the price quote I received and thankfully I caught it and got it corrected. On pickup day, I thought my order would have been already counted out and ready to go, but none of the quantities on the cart they rolled out were sorted. The cashier was confusing me, scanning bottles and not setting them aside, asking what I ordered, when it really should have been on them to know that. It was very stressful and I ended up buying more than I ordered. There are still significant pros to using them- they have an excellent bulk order discount and the fact that you can return unopened bottles is great. Plus, you can't beat the selection. I don't regret using them, I just wish my experience was better and I hope they improve for future brides/event planners.

Owner, Matt, conducted a wine tasting for our Cellar Dwellers Club in Sun City Carolina Lakes, SC. I had seen his shop in a local shopping center, but had never been there. We buy most of our wine at Trader Joe's, Aldi, Lidl and Whole Wines. Does sound like we really drink a lot of wine the way I wrote that sentence. Matt's selection started with a wonderful white wine that got surprise praise from my wife and I, along with four of the others at our table of 8 people. Amazing, as most of us do not like, favor, or necessarily choose to drink white wine, or do so because it is served. This white wine was worthy of a case buy. In I went to Winestore and, having forgotten the name of the wine (!), went to the counter describing Matt's presentation and Matt spoke up saying this particular white wine's name: Combeval Grand Cuvee from France. BINGO! At $12.99 it was a bit higher than our target price of $10 for wine, but this one was worth it. The shopper in front of me had bought a red wine, Jeff Runquist 1448, raved about it, receiving lots of nodding heads from Matt and his staff, so I bought two bottles of that red. Winestore is small, but nicely set up with lighted shelves and a pretty good selection of wines. Prices are a bit high, but I think you can count on getting unusual and quality wines. We will return. Another employee completely unprompted notices the employee is being rude and has to ask if everything is ok and to stop speaking that way to a customer. This is our local spirits store and there are I think 6 or more locations throughout the Carolinas…read more The owner shared a selection of Italian wines with our Sun City Cellar Dwellers club and I was impressed with his wine knowledge and his statement that they are among the least pricey sellers in the area. It is a small shop here, and their in-store inventory is limited by state law to the his building. The law states that any spirits sold must be from what is stored inside. They cannot use a warehouse and bring booze in when needed. That said, if you are looking for some wines that he does not have he can get them from another location, stock it inside and then sell it to you. The manager here is a good guy, a Knight of Columbus and is very knowledgeable on wines. Have had some good discussions with him. Their prices are good and there is, in spite of the storage laws, as good selection to choose from. Very convenient to Sun City.
