He told us he would be there to give us an estimate and then finally showed up three days later. We'd seen the work and another review on Facebook so we were willing to give him the benefit of doubt and hired him. It went downhill from there. We were told it would take about 8 days start to finish for this shower, and this included pouring the shower pan, plumbing for some new fixtures, and all the tile. We asked for shelves, a bench, and a rain head that could be turned on and off, not anything we thought would be too difficult. Part of the contract also stipulated that the crew would clean up after themselves as we were also working on finishing the house to get it ready for move in. The first sub, the gentleman that poured the shower pan, did a phenomenal job. He was professional, prompt, and tidy and we were feeling good about hiring this company. We begin to feel less confident when it took a week before the next sub showed up. We tried to contact Chris several times and finally the plumber came and did his work... sort of, and left a mess that we had to clean up so we could continue working. We also discovered that while working on the plumbing in the attic he missed a joist and cracked the ceiling. The tile guy followed, after a bit of prodding, the work he did was excellent, except for the part where they forgot the shelves we had asked for, and left a mess that we had to clean up. This is also the point where we realized the plumber didn't finish the drain and water was leaking into the basement. The plumber showed back up to address this, and left an enormous mess of sawdust (and personal trash like a drink cup and an empty pack of cigarettes) for us to clean up, yet again. He also installed the new fixtures, and put deep gouges in them all. These will rust and will have to be replaced sooner rather than later, but at this point, and week 3 of this "8 day" job, we just wanted the work done and these people out of the house. After grouting the tile no one showed back up to clean it, again this was part of the contract and one would assume part of tiling, so when we called to mention it to Chris his immediate response was "We're not a house cleaning service." He did quickly follow this with "but someone will come clean the grout haze." And a week and a half later, after more texting and phone calls, someone finally did. They also, finally, cleaned up the trail of thin set and grout on the hardwood floor directly outside the bathroom. As for the shelves we wanted, after some back and forth they finally brought over and installed some cheap corner shelves. They also installed the shower heads wrong, the rain head was always on but the regular shower head turns on and off... the opposite of what we asked for. There have been a myriad of other small things that have just turned this whole process into a nightmare. We are being told daily that they are "done" only to go over to the house and see a giant mess and work that still isn't complete. They didn't grout the edge of the tile, or do anything really, so you could see the backer board. When they were "done" with this we went over and there was metal stripping all over the bathroom, the edge they put in is bent and wavy and doesn't meet the tile, and a giant screw just sticking out of the wall. When they were "done" fixing the crack in the ceiling there was drywall mud all over the carpet and hardwood floors. They never replaced the extension arm on the rain head so that it would be low enough for me to reach the switch to turn it on and off, and finally Chris told us it was just going to be our problem. All in all this was a horrible experience, and not only are we STILL dealing with them but when we mentioned lowering the bill because of all problems we've been having, damage to parts, working not being done in a timely manner - or done at all, and having to clean up piles of trash, he dropped it by $100, which is at this point just insulting. We hired someone, and paid quite a bit of money solely in labor, to do the work so that it would be done right, it would be done by a certain time, and we wouldn't have to worry. This experience has been none of those things, while some work has been excellent a lot of it has been shoddy and thrown together, it is STILL not complete, and we've had to hassle the contractor every single day just to have someone show up and work. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE hiring this company.

We LOVE OXO products and have nicely furnished our homes with this brand as BB&B has a huge selection. They have ample bedding options, and I love their selections for bath SHEETS. We also snagged the last Ninja blender pro (I don't recall the proper name of the model), and it has worked like a DREAM for our smoothie needs. They also have a section of the store dedicated to babies, so if you're expecting or planning on children, they can likely meet your needs!

Hehehe. *Evil Smile* Anyways my recent visit with M was on Sunday March 17th 2013. Apparently M wanted to get something she saw on the paper catalog and with the coupon that she had to this Bed Bath & Beyond we went. Apparently when I was there, I bumped into my fellow Singaporean friend with her hubby. I thought she lives in Denver, but she told me this is THE ONLY store that also have BuyBuy Baby outlet inside. Yes some of the things are still of a higher cost aka overpriced items compared to other places I am used to. In case, I cant find what I need from my to go BARGAIN deal stores, to this Bed Bath & Beyond, I might return. Colorado Cabinets & Counters - Kitchen Before

    Colorado Cabinets & Counters

UPDATE: We had Jack come back and replace the cabinets and counters in the master and guest bath…read more There was also enough granite to replace the counter in the laundry room. Once again, the job was perfect and came out great. Jack, as usual, made sure we were happy with every last detail before he left. He reconnected all of our plumbing even had to deal with a very unusual plumbing detail when installing the cabinets. The original cabinets seem to have been installed BEFORE the plumbing or has some odd assembly scheme that made it a very unique challenge to install the new ones with the way the supply lines and drain pipes were. This was not an issue for Jack and he quickly solved the problem and the cutouts he made are spot on. Very happy and would HIGHLY recommend Colorado Cabinets and Counters (Encompass) to anyone. We had Jack Ames with Colorado Cabinets and Counters (Encompass Real Estate Solutions) reface our kitchen cabinets, replace the countertops, add a tile backsplash, redo the island in the kitchen, and reface the cabinets in one of our bathrooms recently. EVERY aspect of his work was exceptional. Besides being a truly impressive craftsman, Jack is an equally great individual who gets the job done to the highest standards and will do all he can to make sure you are satisfied with the final product. He drove about 1 1/2 hours (in good traffic) to our home multiple times prior to beginning any work. He was able to provide us with samples, colors, and ideas to make our kitchen much more appealing. He had great ideas we didn't even consider such as cabinet doors that fully cover the middle support frame rather than the style we had that did not. Although this sounds like a minor detail, it made a HUGE difference. He was also able to redesign our very odd bi-level kitchen island into a larger, more common sense design that incorporated a microwave area in it and reface the entire side profile area with material that was the same as the main cabinets to tie it all together. The attention to detail was so precise that even the trim on the bottom of the cabinets was cut PERFECTLY to adhere to the shape of the tile and grout that it adjoined. It was amazing to see this quality of work in our home given the previous "builder grade" effort that was originally there. He transformed our kitchen into something we love to show to people rather than something we hated looking at. I could go on much, much longer with details of the great work Jack Ames did for us but it would just be repetitive. He is one of the best craftsman I've had the pleasure to meet and a really honest, hard working individual who was one interest in mind....the customer! You really will be hard pressed to find a more honest and skilled individual for your cabinet and counter needs. You'll be VERY happy with the work Colorado Cabinets and Counters will do for you.
