Coming from NYC when you get off you have a bunch of taxi's waiting to take you home. There's bike parking and places to park your scooters. The parking lot is on the going to NYC side. There is a tunnel under the train to get you from one side to the other. The ticket dispenser is on the parking lot side. Late at night when i'm coming home from the city i will see a lady sitting inside sleeping. My friend says she's a local person and she's homeless. But she never seems to bother anybody, so i guess they leave her alone.

Inside the store, I also experienced old fashioned courtesy and professionalism. I originally entered the store on Mamaroneck Avenue and went downstairs with my bicycle. Martín tested out a pump I considered purchasing by pumping air into both of my flat bicycle tires. It was a great experience I'd highly recommend. After my purchase, Martin raised the big door for me (which opened onto Phillips Park Road). I rolled out of there a happy customer!

Having much experience with bicycle shops over my 50 plus years plus I was surprised when they had an advertisement in a Bicycle trade paper for a floor manager. I went in for the ''interview'' during Covid and was given a Half Attention dialog/interview with the owner and concluded they are guilty of ageism pure and simple. To make matters more egregious, i subsequently stopped by to pay a token visit as a customer to actually purchase a maintenance product and was given that same blank stare. I have urged all my serious cyclist friends since to avoid said establishment, especially if you are over 50 years old. Sorry to write, some people never get it or have courtesy. Ray K.

The inside waiting area is small and the benches are pretty uncomfortable, clearly by design. They're basically wire frame with zero padding. Even a short sit is not comfortable. Seems like a bit of a missed opportunity - it could be - and should be- designed to be much more commuter friendly. Upside? It's right near town, many can walk to it and there's ample parking for both cars and bikes.

Despite my best efforts in the past to do Fall train rides, which turned out to be disappointing only because there was never any good colors on trees, this by far is the very best fall foliage experience I've ever had in my life. You get great views of the tree color transitions and just great photo opportunities. It does get cold on the water so bring a jacket. Experience is as excellent as last time with beverages and snacks for purchase. If you enjoy fall colors, great scenery and boats then you have to do this at least once.
