Such a beautiful place. There are multiple floors of designer shopping, cafes, a food hall, and some regular shopping. If you are in London you have to make a stop and even get yourself a souvenir. While visiting we decided to get lunch on the first floor. It was a little expensive but worth the experience. If you can't make up your mind on a souvenir by the way, there is one more location in Heathrow :)
Harrod's is a London icon and a premier luxury department store and it is a shoppers dream. This store is massive and its known for the fabulous food hall, extravagant luxury goods, and it attracts roughly 15 million visitors per year. Harrod's also features a afternoon tea in The Georgian and it costs about $96.00 US dollars per person. We were here many years ago but I still remember the experience. It was very busy inside and we walked around for a couple of hours just looking and taking in all the beautiful products that were for sale. The architecture of the store is a stunning. We bought some souvenirs, and I also bought a purse and wallet while visiting. We loved taking pics with the life size Harrod bears. I had never been in such a majestic and exquisite store seeing so many luxury items. This store is definitely geared towards the elite and uber rich but we still managed to have a really good time. Service was ample although most of the employees we encountered were very busy hustling to locate items for anxious shoppers. A must visit while you are in London, just don't drop all your cash here.
You feel like you are in a different world when you step inside Harrods. A luxury mall with a great food hall, a Prada cafe, they make their own chocolate in the chocolate hall, and every name brand you can think. Our first stop was the dry bar. We have plenty of these back in the states but I had never been to one before, so It's pretty exciting for to me to say that my first dry bar experience was in Harrods in London! I tend to stay away from blow-dry places because not everyone can blow-dry thick curly hair. Kezia was the stylist and she was great!! She was so funny, paid close attention to detail, and this was one of the best blow-drys I have ever gotten! Next, we stopped at Burberry. She was wonderful, poise, and so knowledgeable about the brand. My husband loves his wallet. We then stopped at Louis Vuitton for a perfume. No one attended to us and it felt like they were judging us based on how we looked. Five employees walked right past us and not a single one acknowledged us. Finally someone did and when we asked her what the notes in the perfume were she googled it on her phone. Our shopping day wasn't complete without buying some sweets from the chocolate hall. Every type of chocolate you can think of is sold here and delicious taste!
This is a very cool department store with many different brands, a restaurant, a cafe, and a candy hall! They even sell the Swiss chocolates from Laderach!
Tip: If you visit in December, check out the Christmas merchandise on the ground floor. I spent a good day at Harrods. I was here in December 2013. It was a treat seeing the Christmas section. It felt like a bonus! This store is London's largest department store with eight floors of shopping bliss. It has been a challenge trying to remember what was on each floor back then. Here goes nothing: Sixth floor: Perfume Fifth floor: Hair and beauty salon, and technology Fourth floor: Children's clothing, toys, denim Third floor: Home decor, furniture, bedding, and giftware Second floor: Menswear, men's shoes, and sports First floor: Womenswear, jewellery, women's shoes, and boutiques Ground floor: Foodhall, beauty, and watches Lower ground floor: Gourmet foods and wine I visited all eight floors. I spent the least amount of time on the sixth and second floors. I dabbled briefly in the technology section on the fifth floor. Most of time time was spent on the other floors. The Christmas merchandise was on the ground floor. It was amazing seeing chocolates, toys, candy, Santa, and more. The foodhall was incredible. The baked goods, sandwiches, mini cakes and chocolates looked in pristine condition behind the glass displays. I had lunch at the Montreux Jazz Cafe. I remember how cool the menu was. It was shaped as a record jutting out of an album sleeve. The music was chill and relaxed. I've been trying to figure out what I ate. I remember enjoying the shopping break. Sadly, this cafe no longer exists. It was created in 2012 in time for the London Olympics. The cafe endured for a few years before it closed for good. Prices are expensive at this high-end store. However, there was a sale on tea. I brought back roughly six boxes of tea. As a tea drinker, the tea varieties at this store were divine. I'd come back just for the tea. I'd also do afternoon tea here. I had no idea that I could indulge until after I had left London. Ugh! There are elevators and escalators to get you between floors. I remember the washrooms being close to the elevators, but I don't recall which floor. The women's washroom on whatever floor I was on was exceptionally fancy. There was a powder room that was separate from the washroom stalls and sink area. There were statues of Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed dancing by the elevators on the lower ground floor when I was there. I just learned that this memorial was removed in 2018. The statues were returned to the Al-Fayed family. I recommend visiting this department store. It is indeed a ton of luxury items under one roof. I enjoyed it as a tourist and a shopper of fine tea. Harrods is every bit as chic and iconic as you'd expect. When I visited, they were in the process of getting ready for the holidays, and even during mid-setup, it was already beautiful. I can only imagine how magical it must look once everything is fully decorated! The store itself is massive and you could easily spend hours wandering through the different departments. Everything feels thoughtfully laid out despite the scale. The sales associates were friendly, approachable, and helpful without being pushy, which added to the experience. Harrods is a must visit while you're in London, whether you're there for shopping, dining in, or just soaking up the atmosphere.
Harrods is a well-known luxury department store in London, so my husband and I wanted to check it out. We went to Harrods on April 11, our third day (second full day) in London. The store is huge (in fact, we got lost trying to find a restaurant, which was a bit frustrating), that Harrods is almost a tourist attraction in its own right! We didn't have anything we needed to buy (and prices were expensive), but we splurged on a nice charcuterie board for £35 and various gifts for people, including a tea towel with the Westie dog embroidered on it for Nancy H. We briefly went back a couple of days later, on April 13, to buy lunch from the food hall, and to use the bathroom. So I been hearing of this famous store for a long time so I finally got to visit and walk through it and let me say I honestly was not impressed and if anything I wanted to walk fast and get out of very busy way There's an entire room of perfumes and colognes and omg it was STRONG. And it hits you hard and I was getting a headache within a min of being in there I don't know how they do it the employees lol But yeah it's basically a super high end shopping center filled with high end brands ...basically indoor mall meets department store and honestly I can't afford most of that but even if I could I probably would just go to a stand alone store vs this Oh... and apparently forget having to go to the bathroom my family were sent on a goose chase ended up outside ultimately I mean look if you love being around super expensive stuff and don't mind strong scents this is for you
Home to all the luxury/designer brands in all aspects of fashion. Anything from sunglasses, bags, makeup and even belts! Keep in mind things are expensive (even in the gift shop on lower ground level) but look at where you are. If you are new here ride those central escalators and fancy a look around. The representative was extremely nice when my partner was purchasing a suit however everyone else we came across was crusty.
Harrods a very high end department store in London. With wide range of products. Service was exemplary. Prices of their own products are reasonable and of good quality. They have all kinds of designer brands. I am very impressed with their store brand items especially the designs. Definitely a must go to as a tourist even if you don't have any intention of buying at all.
What an exquisite store and shopping experience! It's massive, so it's very easy to get lost. It has everything from clothes to restaurants to housewares and a gift shop. While it's geared for the uber rich, no one makes you feel like you cannot be there and shop. It was lovely. I bought several items from the gift shop that had friendly price points.
One of the most famous department stores in the world, you have to visit at least once I usually stop by every time I'm in London, now I don't usually buy much except the confectionery as this store is really for the wealthy uber rich! If you're into designer anything this is your place! Me - I just love the food hall!! Fancy chocolates,biscuits, all kinds of goodies Christmas time is usually beautifully decorated here and lots of lovely festive gift - but be warned super crowds, hard to get around the store it's jam packed full of people - not enjoyable at all!
It's honestly rare when I give a place two stars, but the amount of anxiety you feel coming into this store is unbelievable. I don't even know where to begin. Walking in you feel poor (even if you can afford to shop here, the employees want to make sure you feel like you can't.) You get lost. There's hundreds and hundreds of people. You feel overwhelmed. Selection? I'd say there's TOO MUCH selection. I couldn't even begin. If you want to shop here you'll need a time machine to add time to your day. I really wanted to go to the food hall, see photos below. The food was out of this world. I never thought I would see a smoked salmon cake?! That was really cool. But also expensive. I ended up just grabbing a salad and taking it to my hotel to enjoy.

(This is not so much a review, but a reminiscent of some old days. Everyone knows Harrods anyways so I guess 'Say No More') This place certainly brings back memories. Remember some years ago when my wife and I first got married. One of the destinations for our honeymoon was London. Back then we just started working, after the wedding, basically broke. Roaming around London we thought we should definitely go have a look at Harrods. My wife knew we can't afford to do any shopping, so we just walked and walked, and zoomed pass any attractive stores. Then we got to the food court area. She loves chocolate. I noticed that we started going in circles and kept coming back to the same chocolate store. I figured she wanted to buy some chocolates. But man those harrods chocolate (felt like at that point) cost a fortune (with extreme unfavourable exchange rates). I remember I deliberated for a little bit, and asked her a few times if she really really wanted it (hoping she will say it's ok). In the end we got it cause I know she really wanted it. (Should have just bought it without even thinking about it! Silly!) Years later, now we live in London, recently we went back, same chocolate store is there; and even the same chocolate is still here! Really brings back memories! AMAZING! If you love Haute Couture, this is your spot. If you like fashion, shopping and haute couture, ignore the negative comments here. Yes, it is expensive, it is supposed to be. It's high end fashion, not TJ Maxx. There's everything you could ever want from the big name fashion houses to chocolatiers, lunch meat counters, hot food, perfume, etc. I could spend days on end in here shopping. Bring walking shoes and your credit card with the largest line of credit, lol. read more

Harrods is the place to go if you want to experience luxury mall shopping in London. This mall has 8 floors and is about 5 acres wide. They have a toy section with sales people, showing kids how each toy works (not sure if they work on commission). They also have a huge selection of luxury purses from Channel, LV, Prada, Gucci etc., to affordable brands like Micheal Kors, Coach, Longchamps etc., electronics, shoes, jewelry and watch room, home furnitures and accessories, billionaire's toy section- yes, coolest toys that we can only admire and so much more. Lastly, the lower level is mostly occupied by the very famous "Harrods food hall". This is definitely a world of its own. A combination of wet (Fresh seafood, vegetables and meat) and dry food market, cafe, and food bars for people to dine in (limited seating) The big hall of to-go food prepared by Harrods chefs. The food hall is a huge buffet set-up with attendants in every stall, except, you pay for every item you get. My daughter ordered sushi of course, I got some meat pies and pastries to take back to our apartment. If you're a foodie, an hour is not enough to explore the food hall. So much food and they all looked so good!!! I highly recommend getting any of their deep fried pastries. You won't regret it! One set-back that we didn't know about, is that they don't have tables and chairs to eat the food that you bought. If you are planning to eat the food that you purchased, you can take it outside the mall, eat it at the outside benches (just take a spot under the trees and do picnic style like we did. :-)). So, when you're in London, and have a spare time for malling or just plane hungry, this is the place to go. Side note: Per a very good friends recommendation, I purchased Longchamp purses here and saved over $170 (including US tax). read more

There are no words!!! You have to SEE this place. You can spend a day in there. There are lots of options for dining too. I had a delicious meal in the cafe on the third floor. Then stopped in Laduree for macaroons. read more

I thought I had my handle on gigantic department stores. Nope. Saks, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, Barney's, and Bergdorf Goodman are all fancy and large, but nothing like this store. It's 8 floors of clothing, shoes, accessories, home goods, books, art, food, you name it. I went here two days in a row and I still think there are some corridors that I didn't visit. This place is monstrous. And very expensive. The concept of goods on "sale" does not seem to exist here. If you know luxury brands, there is practically every single luxury brand you can think of here. There's even a floor dedicated to the "Superbrands" - Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, etc. And what's even funnier is that there are so many of these mini boutique stores everywhere, but each specializes in different items. One floor would have mainly bags while the other would focus on shoes (but still have some bags - that's how I found my Chanel bag), etc. It's crazy. If you show interest in items, the salespeople are generally very helpful. You should sign up for a Harrod's rewards card. You get 5 pounds back for every 500 pounds you spend. So if you buy, say, one Chanel bag, you already have like 15 pounds in rewards (unfortunately they don't cash out until February of each year). read more
Come during the holidays for the amazing light decor! Harrods is a very high end department store with endless brands! I initially came in to purchase a YSL purse, however, they did not have the inventory. The employee was very knowledgable and advised me to another store in London. read more

NEVER DISAPPOINT! I'm not going to review their shopping, you know they have everything, and I meant EVERYTHING! From 4.5£ tea bags to priceless De Beer diamonds. This place is huge, and you will get loss a little, but it's totally okay! Service is unbeatable, friendly staffs. If you're not a big shopper, get food from their Food Hall (to go only) and check out their Egyptian Stairs! read more

This was our 1st trip to London & Harrods Department Store & the iconic retailer has earned its reputation. You could easily spend a full day here & enjoy 3 meals & tea (if you put a reservation in weeks in advance). The ground floor alone will give you a great sampling of the food & gifts available. We walked up to 3rd floor to the "cafe" and enjoyed salad & tea service ... total bill was for $38 pounds or $51 US including a 10% service charge. We took home a couple of Harrods tins of tea as a souvenir and enjoyed a walk through their "food courts" ... much different from what you see in an American Mall. read more
Yes, it's a tourist trap, but it's nice to window shop and look at things you know you can't afford here! Things are definitely expensive here! Harrods always has crazy sales in the summer!! It's HUGE! You will find everything from makeup to sports gear to grocery markets and eateries at this department store!! read more
It's huge...a whole city block. It's posh...seems like every designer label has several dedicated areas here. It's busy...if you don't like crowds, or tourists, or elite and wannabe elite shoppers, this is not the place you wanna be. It's tasty...if you can't find something you like in the food counters, cafe dining, grab-n-go bins, and candy counters, then you just aren't hungry. It's priced for a premium...all this luxury doesn't come cheap. If the 1% has a 1%, this is where it would come to shop. It's completely fun! And that makes it something that must be experienced at least once per trip to London. (To be sure, London residents might feel differently, and Harrod's did have a tourist feel, like a shopping Disneyland.) What's more, its location makes it a nice stop on a visit to Hyde Park or the museums. read more

This place is amazing. Every high end item you can imagine and then some! There is a food court that has figs, dates, cheese, tea, coffee, Brie, caviar candy, chocolate, cookies, meat, fish.... the list is endless. Every department is on steroids. If you have passions, Harrods had loads of exclusives! If American, be sure to claim your sales tax refund. You will get back 20% of your purchase! read more
Apparently the Jolie-Pitts were there the afternoon we were there haha, anyway! + tube station leads right up to the entrance +/- beautiful clothes, nice place to window shop, but low ceilings and lots of merchandise makes its feel small +/- "food court" here is not your typical mall food court - you can buy a lot of food but no where to sit + chocolate and tea room - great prices on delicious chocolates and world known tea read more
I had never heard of Harrods before I visited London. I'd guess they're an American equivalent to Barney's or Neiman Marcus? But one thing Harrods has are FOOD VENDORS!! Yay for me! ATMOSPHERE: Look for the big round light bulbs that line the facade like the Christmas season. The inside looks like any other department store with the exception of food & grocery vendors that are scattered throughout the 3 levels. We decided to eat at the Sea Grill because I wanted to try my first fish & chips in the motherland. It's a small bar-style counter that seats around 10 people. You sit & order everything there including your beverage. BEVERAGE: Harrods Beer - This was by far the best beer I had in the UK. Flavorful with a smooth finish. FOOD: Fish & Chips - Pretty pricey at around $35 for fish and fries, but it was worth it as the fish was soft & flaky, and the batter had a good taste and was crispy. Shrimp & Chips - My spouse's dish. The one piece of shrimp I had was very good and cooked perfectly. SERVICE: Everyone at the Grill were friendly and helpful. OVERALL: A definite highlight to experience and recommended place to have some really good fish & chips. read more

As I made my way to handbags and was getting ready a photograph A HUGE FIGHT BROKE OUT...in Harrods....true story...read on and I hope Yelp doesn't remove the videos. First of all Harrod's is on another level and always has been BUT has lost its magic somehow....I can't explain it but the ambience used to be more energetic and I believe the change has to do with their employees who aren't always very happy to meet guests as they used to. I got to Harrods a bit late in the day on this particular day, late March 2017, and opted to photograph the amazing window display. Who wouldn't want to window shop for a Aston Martin on a chilly March evening anyways? But what added to the dramatic wow factor were enlarged real x-ray photos of men advertising shoes and luggage. Check out my photos and videos. I returned a few weeks later and wanted to walk around before photographing....such an incredible, regal, exquisite store. A landmark all of its own. As I made my way to start photographing I started with handbags. I heard loud voices coming from two men. It only got louder and then realized they were shouting in Arabic to one another across the Prada bags...HEY DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON THE SAFFIANO LUX! Rather than walk away like a mature shopper should, I decided to park myself behind other women giggling and insulting these men and get a video of the action myself. Hoping yelp doesn't remove the video but because I understand arabic I heard one calling the other a dog and a dirty Kuwaiti and to fight him like a real man. The other man processed to pull his hair and kick him and say you filthy Emiratis are the dogs. So there you have it....you get dinner ideas AND a show reading my reviews. The security was slow to respond and you can hear them saying "Hey don't fight in here" and try to break it up. Here's some fun facts for you; this is where the country's first escalator was built. 12000 light bulbs are lit every night on the outside of the building. Surely, Greta would not approve of this energy waste. How dare you! Ronald Reagan bought baby elephant Gertie from their now closed pet department. Noel Coward had an alligator from here. You could also buy lions and camels. If you happen to want to start a Noah's arc tour. The food market has some toppings for your next bowl of pasta - a mere £8000 per kg truffles shavings. Why a place like this even sells farmed fish I don't get. read more

Incredibly one the largest stores I've been in and I worked in retail. This Store is so huge you won't believe it's only one store, we got lost in here. Up to 300,000 customers visit the store on peak days, with more than five thousand employees. There are 330 departments that offer a wide range of products and services. Each level is a different theme and decorated very elaborately. There are also over 30 restaurants, serving everything from high tea to pub food to haute cuisine. Be prepared for crowds of people it can get hectic. If you are a shop-a-holic you will be overwhelmed in here. The prices are $$$$, but it's free to admire. read more

So decadent. So sinful. The shopping, I mean. I now understand the hype. Although this is not my cup o' tea, I certainly appreciate and understand its appeal. What a beautiful place. Everything about it just oozes money and excess. If you like that kind of stuff, this place is for you! We ate at the cafe and had a vegetarian meal. And some tea, after all, this is England! Had a most wonderful time with my daughter. Perhaps in my next life, I will spend more time here and shop. But not this time around. read more

If you can't find something to buy at Harrods, I can't help you. They have everything from bargain Harrods gifts to the $3,000 pair of yoga pants you do not need. So many floors, so little time. Plenty here for your inner foodie too. There are several food related items like customs picnic baskets, gufts to bring home, and restaurants to eat in. No matter how many times I go, I never have enough time to see everything. read more
Bravo for having an amazing dried date selection. I've never been to a place that's had such a wonderful display of an amazing snack in such quantity. Maybe I need to travel more? Did I go shopping? No, would Rather splurge on dates. read more

A must see if you are in London. I really had no idea what to expect going in, but I was certainly taken aback. It's absolutely beautiful in side with seemingly hundreds of shops. We did not do any shopping for clothing or purses (not quite in my price range sadly). However we spent almost a whole hour in the food halls. Since it was Easter time they had many cute gifts and treats related to the holiday, which made it a little special. We purchases two pastries in the baked goods area that were to DIE FOR. My husband got a cinnamon sugar croissant and I got what they called a "Yum-Yum Dum Dum" which was a croissant type pastry filled with dulce del leches ... it was unbelievably delicious. The service was wonderful too, we were confused on who we would make our purchase from so we went to the wrong area. Once we were redirected a gentleman came over to tell us we were correct the first time, and he seemed to be missed a staff member. It made us laugh. read more

W.O.W I usually hate going to malls on vacation since I'm from the US and we have tons and tons of malls. But this is not just a mall...to even call it a mall seems insulting. Harrods is the Hermes of malls. Not only because it sells luxury brands ( I'm talking everything from the typical Chanel section to Versace for kids) but because the decor is absolutely amazing. YOU MUST SEE: Egyptian escalator (called central escalator there) FOOD HALL!!! The food hall is an absolute showcase of the art of food. Everything from cheese to charcuterie to chocolates and an oyster bar...was beautifully displayed. You can't miss the food hall when you're there. And don't feel like you'll be intimidated for entering such an expensive shopping mall because there are tons of tourists and people just looking around. read more

This place was cool. Kinda like a mall here in the US. But the food court was a little more upscale. I liked it a lot cause you had high end shops to choose from to shopping for gifts like jams, pastries, amd candy to take back home from your visit to the UK. Only thing was their was hardly any restrooms in this large facility. Terrible that their is no toilets near the food courts and they are hard to find on the other floors. Other then that, it's a decent place to checkout and have lunch or din din. read more

First time coming to Harrods and it was pretty awesome. You could literally spend the entire day here. There are many floors to shop and everything is organized from shoes to womens apparel to books to artwork to stationery. Harrods has it all! Most of the brands at Harrods are name brand and can be pretty pricey, so bring your pounds! Harrods also has a food area with different restaurants inside the store. The Tea Room and the Ice Cream Parlor are just a few. I also had the opportunity to use the restroom, and it was clean and classy with a bathroom attendant in the room at all times, it also smelled like a jolly rancher. I also enjoyed the part of Harrods that sells memorabilia, such as Harrods bone china mugs, keychains, chocolate/candy etc. They also had a section of Cath Kidson, which is an exclusive UK brand. Also, if you have the chance be sure to check out the Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed memorial, I can't remember which floor, but it's something to see. read more
