    Bellini

Definitely the best Bellini I've ever had but it was also very expensive at 25 euros. It was crowded and the staff didn't seem to care or pay attention to anyone but it was still a cool experience to say I've tried a Bellini from the place it was created

Such a classy place! We were lucky to get the last small table for two. The Bellini was heaven and a must try. Carpaccio melted in your mouth and the croissant roll was to die for. Spendy but you're on vacation to drain your savings! Disfrute!

I had to go. I mean, if you've read anything from the 20th century classics, probably one of the authors had a drink here. Or a lot of them. The place is kind of sterile, frankly, looking like a forgotten. The tables are sort of pushed around kind of haphazardly, and it felt like the most touristy spot on the planet, or in Venice. That said, the service is just impeccable. And the drinks, though horribly overpriced, were delicious, and perfect for an afternoon that had been filled with August heat and preceded by several hours of walking. I would have enjoyed a second drink, but I'm not so nostalgic that I would want to spend the price of a good dinner on pretty petite pours of Bellinis.

Went for drinks! They did not disappoint. We got the classic Bellini and it came with olives. Nice place to stop, hang out and feel like you're experiencing something special. Service was great and fast! People were turned away for not being in dress code - no shorts!

A relative recommended we stop here to enjoy the original Bellini they invented. We worked diligently trying to make dinner reservations months in advance. They only make them on open table 14 days in advance. We secured them for our third night. We stopped in on our second day in the afternoon as we couldn't wait to experience the bar and the Bellinis. We tried the original and tried a Vodka Bellini. We absolutely fell in love with the Vodka Bellini's. Expensive though at 25 euro each. The bartender brought us olives! The bar was empty and no dress code in the afternoon before 6 pm. We went the next day too, before our evening dinner reservation. We enjoyed the Vodka Bellini's but also tried Vodka martini & dirty martinis in small shot glasses. This presentation was not appealing for a classic martini. The bartender brought us tiny ham & grilled cheese minis and olives. They were so good. We moved upstairs for dinner. I had a huge filet, perfectly cooked. My husband had chicken curry. It was okay. He wishes it was spicy. We had the signature original carpaccio they also invented.

We sat upstairs to avoid the noise downstairs which is very small. I really loved the formal service and the peach Bellinis. The food was excellent but it didn't blow me away as being exquisite for the price. My husband had liver and polenta and I had a delicious large steak. We each had a glass of wine. They serve complimentary Bellinis - invented there (you can't miss these!) . They don't serve the wine in traditional glasses but in the stemless glasses- they said they changed that globally when I asked. They have 27 cooks working there - a huge staff.

Harry's Bar, the original location of the global Cipriani group of restaurants, is expensive but worth every penny. The food and drinks are all exquisitely prepared. Located on the Grand Canal, a short stroll from San Marco, you cannot get a better location. Good service as well.

Bellini and the driest martini in the world.

This was a fun place to visit. Home of the Bellini. It is worthwhile to stop if you're in the area. Also try the driest gin in the world. Both are made very well here the home.

We went just to try the Bellinis. We didn't have a reservation and they were fully booked, so we sat in the waiting booth by front door. They forgot about our drinks so it was a lot of waiting, but was worth it to say we've tried it!

Did you really do Venezia if you didn't have a €22 bellini, in the home it was created? I think not! You'll hear zero complaining about the price from me, a cocktail at the Ritz in Paris runs me €34 and I'm known to be a more than one drink girl, a sour at GHT in Lago di Como is €30 so in all honesty the €22 was on par for a two ingredient drink. We stepped through the door around 7p to grab a couple of their famous Bellini's and there was no way I was passing up the delish slice of cake. Dessert before dinner is just who I am. We had flown in from Vienna so I was totally still in cake mode. This gorgeous cake melts in your mouth, is super light and was scrumptious paired with the Bellini. I don't love Bellini's I'm way more of a Bourbon or Tequila gal but I came here specifically for this drink. It was tasty, but I was just taking in a little cocktail history if you will. Service was fantastic, we had a perfect little corner booth so we could take in the place. I'd definitely recommend if you're visiting.

We had to check out Harry's & as my helpful Yelpers said the Bellini's were 27 euros, very small .... We saw it & moved onward. However, Harry's is on the water, near the gondolas and in the designer section on Venice. We passed Tiffany, Fendi, Louis Vuitton ....

Didn't notice the window sign at first

Small place but perfect drinks! This is a very tiny entrance but once you cross the threshold you are in for a treat.

Lots and lots of restaurants to choose from in Venice but this unassuming restaurant is a true gem…read more It's easy to miss as it's tucked in a corner right by a bridge. Once inside they have a couple tables with small window views of any gondolas passing by. We started off with a plate of lightly fried sardines topped with pickled white onions. The fry on the fish was super light and those vinegar-y onions were the perfect pairing. We cleaned that plate. The lasagna was well balanced with the meat, sauce, cheese. The squid ink pasta was chewy/al dente with a subtle touch of seafood flavors giving the cuttlefish. It was very umami but nothing too overbearing. Delicious! It's a Family business that was been around for many years. Grazie to the friendly staff and chef!

The jovial mood with the waiters with big personalities is gone. The menu you can find online is no longer available so you get a very limited menu to choose from--nearly entirely seafood. So if you have anyone in your party that just wants pasta with a red meat sauce or a non seafood lasagne, not available. We were a party of 8. Two people ordered the scallop appetizers. Pretty presentation on shells. 3 tiny scallops in the shells. More like an amuse bouche. Totally disappointing. The linguine with clams as an entree had clams so small you almost needed a magnifying glass to see them. Couldn't taste the clams and annoying to try to eat something so tiny , and just try to eat the pasta with all those tiny shells. The baby shrimp on polenta was actually good. But again the shrimp were like tiny hatchlings tempura battered. Tasted okay except for those that were soggy from the polenta that was very soupy. I wanted the gnocchi with crab which was on the very limited menu but no longer available. The alternative was gnocchi with a sea bass sauce which I chose but didn't like at all. The gnocchi were good but the sauce wasn't at all for me. We had to continue to ask for side dishes for the bread, butter, olive oil, salt and pepper. We will not return. Poor value for your money. Plus there is a cover charge and service included in your bill which was a surprise. Very sad to see our favorite Venetian restaurant decline so much.
