The City of Pasadens used their services for many years for many years in our section and we had several candidates working for us. The stuff is really nice and provided us with top candidates. I am writing this review to express my utter frustration and anger that this company has caused my boyfriend. About two months ago, my boyfriend received a call not to report to his job to only learn that he was being let go do absenteeism. Well, here's the kicker: he called hart to tell them to call his employer that he would be out (which is what anyone would do when they are sick); apparently there is clause in their contract that they are not allowed to contact their employer so he was doing what he was told. Did they call his company? NO! On both occasions, they failed to notify his employer so he lost his job. However, being the prudent man he is, he spoke with the company hr person to explain what was going on and, lo and behold, they said Hart had never contacted them! After explaining his situation, his company contacted Hart and told them that he was re-hired. It really makes me wonder how many employees this company has lost because of the lack of communication? After everything was straightened out, my boyfriend got an exceptionally passive aggressive email from Hart telling him that he violated his contract by contacting his company. Way to apologize right? Personally, they should have been the professionals and admitted fault instead of chastising him for trying to save his job. On top of this nightmare, we started noticing a huge delay in his pay checks so he was convinced they were retaliating against him and it really stressed him out! What do you tell someone who is trying so hard to make a living that maybe his check will come some day? I don't get emotional in reviews, but this employment agency has caused an an unnecessary amount of heartache for the both of us and that is why we are so glad he is no longer with them. If I could offer any advice: find another agency or be prepared to be a thorn in their side so you can ensure you will get paid for your hard work and if they are communicating with your employer. read more

Several months ago I was working with Jessica at this agency about a possible position in the area. Long story short, after many follow up phone calls, emails, etc., on the status of the position (after a phone interview with the prospective employer), the position fell through the cracks. Fast forward to the last few weeks & I reached out to this firm again after getting a response from Ardenn. I didn't find her to be that professional or responsive as another Yelper mentioned. She responded back by saying that they're still waiting to hear from their client about a position that I was interested in. She mentioned in her email that it wouldn't be a quick process & that she would be in touch when she had an answer. I've only spoken with these 2 recruiters. I'm really not that impressed with this firm at this point. It's just too frustrating trying to reach these recruiters & getting "snippy" emails from them. I really do wonder how recruiting firms like this stay in business. This is a "heads up" to other Yelpers about this agency. It really wasn't that good of an experience at all. :( :( read more

I received a prompt response from Angeline on here once I left a review... interesting! So you can check yelp, but not emails from people that are looking for jobs? Apparently my responses went straight to her TRASH, which is a blatant lie. Then, she lied again by saying that she would have only contacted me if my resume was posted on Craigslist....since when does Craigslist allow people to post resumes? Here is the bottom line: I applied for a job, she was the recruiter and emailed me. I responded, twice, and heard nothing. She could have corrected her mistake by actually informing me about the positions and setting an appointment. However, I received excuses for her ignorance and lack of professionalism along with an unapologetic "sorry, not sorry" attitude. Wow, service at it's best! read more

It is really unfortunate that Angeline no longer works at Hart. She really knew how to get things done. She was courteous, professional and always friendly. Since she left, there have been several issues with receiving pay and a great deal of lack of communication. Their new (?) employee, Ardenn, is extremely unprofessional and rude. Hart has been great in placing for jobs otherwise. I will update my review if things change back to the great place they once were. read more

Nice office, nice people, great customer service! My husband and I went in to take a typing test. The woman who helped us, Hamsa, was very personable and explained the process well. There were no distractions and we were in and out of there quickly, unlike when using a public job center. The typing certificate was only $15. If you go here, remember to bring cash (it's cash only). Parking was easy as there's a lot in back. Also, there was no wait... Walked right in. Will definitely use this place every time I need a typing certificate! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this agency. I was unemployed for about 2 months and although they didn't find the job I have just accepted, they were able to find me many temp positions to supplement my lack of income. Everyone there was extremely helpful and very nice, they definitely went above and beyond to help me. If you every need a employment agency to help you find a permanent position or even a temporary position, please use this company! I hope I never need to use them again but if I wind up unemployed, they will be one of the first phone calls I make. read more

What a disappointment. I was referred to this agency by word of mouth... however, my personal experience was less than ideal. I believe this is a mother-daughter agency. When I called in, Rhonda (the mom) said they have a position available in their office. I moved around my plans that day so I could make it for a same-day appointment. An hour before my appointment, I received a call from Jessica (the daughter) saying that her mom hadn't been aware that she just filled the office position. She kindly offered to schedule an appointment for the following day, so she can help place me somewhere else. The next day, I sent my resume by email a couple of hours prior to our interview. Almost immediately after, I received a call from Jessica who was in San Diego on a very important job, and didn't think she would make it in time to meet with me. She said she would need to check her calendar and get back to me to reschedule "so that I don't ever have to cancel on you again". This was days ago, not a peep. My time is valuable, and I don't appreciate having it wasted. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend this agency. read more
