My case was transferred to Sage Law Group from Joseph B. Ryan's office, and unfortunately, the issues with lack of communication continued after the transfer. Despite the change in firms, I experienced the same pattern: unanswered calls and messages, no meaningful updates, and no clear explanation of the status of my case. As a client, I have a reasonable expectation of timely communication, transparency, and diligence none of which have been provided. This matter has now spanned several years, and being repeatedly ignored has caused unnecessary stress and concern about whether my case is being properly handled. An attorney has an ethical obligation to keep clients informed and to act with reasonable promptness. In my experience, those obligations were not met. I strongly advise anyone considering this firm to get all communication expectations in writing and to keep detailed records. If communication and representation standards are not upheld, remember that filing a complaint with the State Bar is an available and appropriate course of action. Great law firm! I have been meaning to write a review for a while... I had purchased a new vehicle that spent most of its time in the service department then on the road! So, so thankful that I came across Sage Law Group when I was searching for a Lemon Law firm who I can trust after the first lawyer I tried to work with (who works by himself) made me feel like he didn't have time for me and that he didn't want my case after receiving a decline letter from MBZ. He also did not listen to why I feel I have a strong case. When he wrote a letter to MBZ and I mentioned there was incorrect information, he said it does not matter as MBZ will check their internal system for facts. Really? So, what do I need you for? Lol. Anyhow, the 2 biggest lessons that I learned the hard way was: a) work with a firm who has a team not an individual and b. not all law firms are the same. There were 3 companies I considered. Two of them had nice, enticing ads but were rude to me when I called to tell them I needed a second opinion and explained that my first lawyer did not seem to have time for me. I remember one saying, if you are already working with someone then we will not work with you. Click. Just like that. So, based on these, I have not had a good experience UNTIL I spoke with Sage Law Group. Sage Law's attorneys have represented several auto manufacturers and they know the law and technology on how my vehicle operates, the group worked seamlessly to understand and strategize how to position my case and knew very well how to win. I know because of the experience I had to go through with the first lawyer and the excuses given. But the BEST thing about Sage Law is they treat you the way a client should be treated. I don't think you will ever find a team with the passion, legal expertise and knowledge that they have for what they do who are as efficient, respectful and a pleasure to work with as Greg, Amy & Sally! But as weeks went by and the case progressed, Sally communicated that she would fight for MBZ to buy the car back based on how, what and when the issues occurred. And SHE did, including the extended warranty I purchased. I was told by the Finance Manager at the Dealership where I bought the EW from that she submitted my claim, but it was declined. The reason I will not be getting a refund was because this was a buy-back, but Sally got involved and the whole thing was refunded to me. To sum it up, the Sage Law team is truly exceptional in what they do and such a pleasure to work with. We had a new 2019 vehicle with constant Display Screen (MCU) failures for over a year. If you think your car might be a lemon, do yourself a favor and give Amy at Sage Law a call. I was given the runaround by my car's manufacturer for months and months, even though I wasn't asking for anything outlandish. It was a total waste of my time, because they barely even acknowledged my existence until Amy got involved and filed a case in court. In the end, Amy got me *MORE* than I even asked for when I first contacted the manufacturer directly and they ignored me. Calling Amy or her colleagues at Sage won't cost you a dime -- the way California's lemon law is written, the plaintiff's attorneys get paid directly by the manufacturer if there is a settlement or if you win in court or arbitration. (This is also how you'll know if you have a good case -- they're only going to take you as a client if they think you are likely to win...because otherwise, they would have done all their work for free!) IMPORTANT TO KNOW: There are other lemon law firms out there who are essentially ambulance-chasers and will tell you they are going to make you some huge payday from your car's manufacturer because of the trouble you've had with your car. But all that those types of firms are trying to do is get THEMSELVES a huge payday, because as long as they get the manufacturer to give you even a nominal amount they then try to stick them with a bill for hundreds of thousands of dollars! Don't let those seedy firms take advantage of you, or advantage of the system. Your case will drag out for many years in court until you see a resolution and even if you wind up with a buy-back from the manufacturer (which is the same thing that Amy got for me in less than 6 months) it is going to be a giant drain on your time which you don't get compensated for one bit -- only the seedy law firm does. Those seedy firms trying to take advantage of the system are what make everything harder for people like you and me who have legitimate, reasonable claims. So by going with a REPUTABLE firm such as Sage who has YOUR best interests at heart, your process will not only be much shorter and stress-free, but also you will be giving yourself another big advantage: Since the manufacturers know that most of the cases at those charlatan firms are scams, they fight them much harder. You obviously don't want to put yourself in a situation where the manufacturer winds up offering you less money than what you deserve, because of the attorney you chose. My 86-year-old (at the time) father leased a brand-new 2019 Jeep Cherokee, talk about a lemon. This car was in the Jeep Chrysler service dept. more than on the road. The maintenance dept. could never find anything wrong with it, yet nothing ever worked for long. The electrical system had one problem after another, interior and exterior lights, GPS, audio, milage and gas indicators, etc. you name it, this car was a rolling disaster. However, worse than electrical problems were the steering system/rack and pinion; it was more than dangerous, this vehicle was an accident waiting to happen, and could have caused a major catastrophe not only for my Dad but to others on the road. Repeated trips to the service dept. produced no lasting results. The mechanics would tweak a little here, tweak a little there, send the car home after a week (multiple times), with no satisfactory results, this continued for well over a year. I contacted our long-time family attorney; however, she doesn't practice lemon law so she suggested Sally Ayvazian, whom she'd personally never met but had heard of her excellent skill at resolving tough issues for vehicles still under the manufacturer's warranty that repeatedly fail to meet California standards of quality and performance. I'm normally not one to leave reviews; however, I feel I have to give credit where deserved. I had a 2018 Ram 1800 Eco Diesel truck. At about 50,000 miles the motor blew!
