I have only seen 2 shows at the Fox since it changed hands, but both were a lot of fun. The remodel…read morehas taken some time but has really made a difference to the inside of the Theatre. The bottom floor is now tiered with a dance floor just below stage level and the upper balcony remains theatre seating. The tier seating area in real nice because now you can sit at a table and enjoy your show. The two shows i attended they had cocktail service to this area as well, thats a big plus for those of us who hate to miss anything, It looks as if they have painted the inside to, the whole place is beautiful and between the first show ( George Lopez ) and the last one i attended ( Bret Michaels) it seems to have had more upgrades. The sound system has been added as well as a nice light show. I think the biggest mistake they made with the remodel though is the carpet on the ground levels, Should have gone with a dark color the tan carpet i think will have a short life expectancy. The only other thing i can say is this, support this place, If you support the shows the Monterey Peninsula will have another great large venue and who knows you might Start seeing more truly great shows coming into this area.

As a tribute to Steinbeck and his connection to the area, the museum was thoughtful, engaging, and well worth the visit. I especially enjoyed the quirky gift shop, always a bonus when a museum shop has personality. The drive into Salinas was also unexpectedly lovely, with so many fields and vegetables growing. It gave the whole visit a strong sense of place and helped connect the landscape to Steinbeck's writing. A great stop for literature lovers, history fans, or anyone looking for something meaningful to do in the area.

The coffee places are awesome to meet great locals. Other than that, it's sort dead and go in the mornings to mid afternoons because in the evenings the place goes dry.
