I just happened to see their sign after eating at The Butter Barn. They charge $10 for all you can play in one hour or $20 for all you can play with in/out options all day long. We did the one hour option. They also serve beer here. Cute doggie was there. Lots of unique pinball machines I had never seen before. Absolutely recommend this spot. Fun date idea. read more

Was visiting from out of town, played for an hour. Was a lot of fun. Decent selection of canned beers, nice bartenders. The game selection could have been a little better. They did have some classics, but some of the older machines aren't as fun. Need some simpsons or sopranos! read more

This is probably my favorite place I've visited in Seaside that I would recommend to anyone visiting in the area. I had never played pinball games before and I wanted to give it a try. I paid $10 per person for an entire hour of unlimited games. This place has so many different pinball machine options & the arcade itself had very cool decor. They also serve alcohol here & sell little snacks / pins. I had such a fun time!! read more

Our grandson suggested this place after a day of shopping at the local mall. We came on a Tuesday which is $10 for all you can play. We had a blast! We do not have anything like this in our area and this brought back so many great memories. This is just plain old fashion fun for the whole family! Thanks for the fun!!! read more

My Union Local has a game day every year and Lynn's has gotten better year by year. My wife and I are old-time pinball fans and have been playing for years and coming here is, for us, a guaranteed good time. We both play well on selected machines, but not playing well has never been so fun. And, as everybody mentions, they have beer! (and non-alcoholic beverages, too). We have already made future dates with friends, and are planning a family day, when our kids visit. I always start with the older, analog machines, because i did. it's a good way to warm up your flipper fingers. read more

Such a unique and underrated spot. We've been wanting to check this place out for months now. Finally had the chance to go on a Friday night. It was a nostalgic experience that drifted our memories back to our childhood days. The pricing is very reasonable for unlimited play. Took my 3 kids on their Tuesday special and my kiddos were in heaven and they played for hours for five people it was $10 and we had beers and I had some amazing Florida orange pomegranate seltzers. We didn't get to the darts in the back bc we just went ham on all their amazing pinball machines. The staff were so friendly and helpful giving the kids pointers! read more

This place is too good not to review. It's all positive: 1. Machines are kept in top shape. 2. Who doesn't love drinking a beer while playing? -- and all the machines have cupholders. 3. They sell snacks, and you can bring in outside food if you like 4. Pricing structure is well thought out. $10 for an hour, or $20 for unlimited. I like that there's an option past one flat rate. 5. The newest titles are present, plus a good mix of different era pins. 6. The staff is unfailingly friendly 7. Good rotation of incoming games, so something new to play every time I go there. 8. A lot of pinball places I've been to don't have much seating, so it's a nice bonus to have tables to sit at, plus stools that are easily carried so you can play a game sitting down, if you like 9. The bathroom is clean I love the electromechanical pins (the older games), and this past weekend a Bally Starjet was there, in fantastic condition. That's a rare find, and it speaks to how well this place is run. It might not sound like much, but I'm a 30-year pinball collector, and to have a title like that, in fantastic condition, shows how committed the owners are to providing a quality pinball experience to the public. This arcade was so much fun. My husband and I had a blast playing pinball. Flat rate to get in and have unlimited play. We didn't bring our kids but they have stools for the kiddos and vertically challenged adults. Bathrooms on site. Massive beer selection. Really friendly staff. read more

Definitely a cool little pinball arcade that's tucked away in the back lot. It's fifteen dollars for unlimited play all day, so you can come and go easily. They take a lot of pride in the facility and everything is very well kept. They have a variety of new-old pinball machines and get new ones in somewhat regularly. My favorites were the Godzilla and classic Batman, very fun! They have a little bar with a variety of beers, ciders, seltzers, and non alcoholic beverages. You can bring your own food in and enjoy at the bar as well. Totally worth checking out! read more

I'm a competition pinball player and travel the world for pinball tournaments. Lynn's is world-class. It's $15 at the door and the machines are set to free-play, meaning you don't need to drop coins into the machines to play. Great for beginners as there is less of a sting when draining balls and having to start a new game. The beer selection, tip-top machine conditions, wide pinball machine options and relaxed vibe set Lynn's apart from your cookie-cutter pinball bar. Lynn's also hosts pinball league and women's league. I'll definitely be making the 5 hour drive up from Los Angeles a few more times a year to enjoy this spot. read more

Cool little place with plenty of pinball machines. It's turned out to be a great date spot. The machines are open to play with admission. Don't expect to eat your dinner here as they make it clear what they are there for. But you can order food to eat there. Definitely a cool date night spot. read more

$15 all you can pinball with one of the better selections of beer you'll find in the area. If you've got Untappd check out their menu because it is a who's who of local craft beers including Alvarado St, Bare Bottle, Sante Adarius and promises of Moonraker and more as they begin reopening. I'm not good at pinball, but I'm not good at bowling either, doesn't make it less fun!! My personal ranking of games: 1. Fifa 2. Big Game Hunter 3. Not sure of the name but it has a siren on top. Beers ranged from West Coast IPA, Hazy IPA, Pales, and Seltzers. Even canned water. Loved the Bare Bottle juicy double that was recommended. Great vibe here too! read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said - nothing! I love pinball. However, I suck at pinball which makes Lynn's Arcade the perfect spot for me. For just $15, you can play all day with ins and outs. All games are set to free play. There are new and old classic machines. You can bring in food and eat there if you like. They offer plenty of beer and non alcoholic beverage choices (no wine or spirits). The staff is super friendly. We had so much fun the day we stopped in trying all of the different machines and sipping on a craft beer. While an event was winding down, we never had to wait for a machine. There was always something available to play. If you love pinball (or even if you don't), I highly recommend a stop at Lynn's. read more

Surprised my daughter for her 13th birthday but she wasn't feeling it. They have limited machines, nothing of the ones she likes. Otherwise, it's a nice place for kids and kids at heart to hang out and play some pinball machine. I don't know what else they have since we didn't stay long. Tbh, I would've stayed a few minutes but didn't wanna pay an all day fee for 10 minutes of playing. Maybe I'll come back. :) I think they also have food and drinks (not 100% sure). The place is clean, too! Nice location in Seaside! read more

A fun place to spend a few hours playing pinball while enjoying a brewski. A unique date night destination. There's a wide variety of pinball machines from classic to modern ones with all the bells and whistles. They have a good selection of beers and other non-alcoholic beverages to quench your thirst between intense rounds of flipper tapping. Wow! This place is amazing. I have been hoping that somebody would open an arcade like this nearby and they have done a great job with this place. There are about 30 pinball games at any given time and they seem to rotate them in and out with some regularity. A couple of important things to know before you come here: 1) It's only $15 per adult to play as much as you want. This is a very reasonable price of admission. 2) The games are all set to "hard" mode, however if you get completely screwed (the ball shoots down the middle immediately and you have no meaningful chance to interact with the game to avoid this) you will get a free replacement ball. 3) Because the games are set to hard mode, they are exactly that: hard. Don't get your panties in a wad if your first several games go poorly - they probably will. This is by design. As you improve, your games will last longer. Again, don't get your panties in a wad. 4) Every pinball machine is different. There are different strategies and different engineering that goes into each game. Don't expect to helicopter in on day 1 and start kicking ass and cashing checks - even if you are the pinball hero of your local pizza parlor. This is the big leagues. Practice, research and patience are your friends here. 5) They have a large assortment of beers, ciders and seltzers on tap. Most of them are delicious. Expect your reaction time to decrease as you imbibe - it can go no other way. 6) Try your Sunday best to avoid screaming "DAMN IT" (or worse) when your ball goes down the little side ramp and you lose. It's going to be OK. The sun will rise tomorrow. I promise. read more

Kind of a complicated review. 5 stars in general. We've been here a few times. Today was the first day when we came and there was a tournament going on. The lady at the desk told us and from what we understood it was just one table. My husband got kicked off a table mid game. People in general were just really rude. Saving tables by leaving their water bottles on the ground by the table. I thought I finally had a chance to play fun house, I'd been trying the whole time, I walked over. Pushed start. Some guy came over, he was standing nowhere near the table, told "we are about to play a game" there were 3 other guys, all standing nowhere near the table. I did enjoy playing the gopher golf table, a favorite of mine. I think they need to do something else for lighting. Top half of the play field is incredibly hard to see, almost impossible. People working here are friendly, 5 stars for them. Bathroom has always been clean. I like the vibe and the music but it was so loud today it was just distorted and sounded terrible. We will probably be back, but I definitely wouldn't waste your money here if they're having a tournament. They should really discount the price some on those days. Between the table savers, and they made my husband leave a table mid game. Not a good look for the business. Table he was told to leave was not beside the tournament table. read more

Pay one fee at the door FOR THE WHOLE DAY and all machines set to Free Play. No quarters/tokens. Great place to bring your kids too. A great selection of craft beer, seltzers, sours, and artisan waters. Helpful & friendly staff and customers who really love pinball. We were charging our car at the Tesla dealer and needed to Kill an hour, this place was perfect!! Super clean, and the best rendition of StarTrek TNG pinball I've ever played. No signage but it's there next to the Thai food spot. read more

Very nice staff! Great selection of craft beer! Super clean restroom and pinball machines. You can tell they really care to keep the machines up and clean. This place absolutely ROCKS!! Tons of new and retro games to pick from and they are in great working condition! The arcade was super clean and the staff was ultra friendly! Lots of beverages to choose from (both adult and non alcoholic). If you're skeptical on how it works...it's actually pretty simple. You pay the door fee, get a stamp and all games are on free play. This is nice because if you leave to grab food or decide to go back later before they close and try to beat that one game driving you nuts; your original door dues you paid for that day are still good! This place is fun for the whole family and they even flagged some more intense games "rated R" to help parents with kids. My kiddos had a blast and so did I! My 4 year old actually cried when we had to leave! BONUS POINTS for having plenty of stools scattered under games for the kiddos! read more

This place is a hidden gem in Seaside. My first visit was 9/13/19. The staff was friendly. The process is quick and easy- pay an entrance fee and enjoy unlimited play. In & out privileges. They are working on a basic liquor license to serve beer. Water and soda are for sale. You can bring in outside food! The place is clean and welcoming for all ages. It's perfect for a tween Friday night of pizza & arcades or a fun date night outing. Lots of machines and no lines. We will definitely be back. read more

I arrived on a nice sunny Saturday afternoon. High Scores Arcade is located in a nice area off Alvarado street in downtown Monterey. Parking is free and accessible along the streets and the nearby parking lots. The arcade games collection are classic, vintage, and from the 80's-90's. The space is on the smaller side but has just enough video games to look reputable. The decor is vibrant, bright, and playful. In the front is the counter where you purchase your admission, snacks, and alcohol/non alcoholic drinks. The admission is fairly priced. 1 hour of unlimited play is $10.00. All day unlimited play is $22.00. Overall we enjoyed our experience at High Scores Arcade. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The vibe was nostalgic and bustling. It was nice to introduce the games I use to play back in the day and play along side with my son. We hope to be back when we are in the area.

They offer free tours the first Saturday of the month. Tour lasts about an hour. I was very lucky and had the entire tour to myself! The docent was very knowledgeable about Monterey history as well as Ed Ricketts, John Steinbeck and all things Cannery Row. It was fascinating to look at the posters on the wall from the Mens club who owned the lab between the early 50's until the late 80's. The downstairs areas where the holding tanks are (visible from the outside) and the inside where the garage was. Along with things that you would know if you had read some of the books. Notably for me was the desk they built to take with them on the trip to the Sea of Cortez, that didn't fit inside the boat- so it was lashed to the outside and virtually never used. There it was! I touched it! If you're a lover of history and Steinbeck I highly recommend it!

It's a great spot for small events (less than 50 people). Acoustics are poor due to the high ceiling, so I recommend a sound system setup with multiple portable speakers so no one misses anything shared by the host or guest speakers. The meal was delicious. I had mushroom pasta Alfredo, but other selections included grilled salmon & breaded chicken breast. Each were nicely presented & flavorful. Beverages were available at a station only, but the room was so tightly packed with tables & chairs that movement was limited so I went thirsty. The servers weren't available to assist. Unfortunately, the lunch wasn't served by table; so guests sat with their hot meals cooling rapidly while one type of entree was served at a time. This is very bad etiquette & leave the guests feeling uncomfortable, especially with cold food when everyone is finally served. Food service was delayed long past the end of the speaker's program, so most people left before dessert was served. In fact, many people were unable to stay for the weird entree service & missed it. Whatta waste since the luncheon was hosted by a nonprofit. View is exceptional, but table service needs a skilled event manager who can 'read the room' & prompt the Chef and servers to provide the main course in a more timely way. Hopefully, the nonprofit received a substantial discount for this poorly managed meal.
