If I could give 6 stars I would. I had a rat problem in my house and the crawlspace underneath here in sw san clemente. Contacted Mark and he sent Dave out to see if he could help. I can't say enough good things about the way Dave handled the problem. I was charged a nominal fee and got much more than I paid for. Harts Extermination is the best pest control company out there! Hands down the best priced and most reliable company. Last year we had a major problem with spiders filling our trees which surround the perimeter of our house. Being an arachnophobe, getting rid of the spiders was a priority. We had a technician come out and not only get rid of every visible spider but spray to keep them at bay. Fast forward to this year with our house being overrun by ants, Harts Extermination came out and sprayed which helped keep the ants outside our home where they belong. This week we had two rats invade our home. We called to make an appointment to have somebody come out and set traps. Darin, a Harts Tech was able to make an appointment for us the very next day and came out on time. He was professional, courteous and super nice! The very same night his traps worked like magic and caught the invaders! The never next day he came and retrieved the pests and our home was pest free again. I accepted some moving boxes from a friend and accidentally brought in a roach infestation. Apparently roaches live off of the glue in cardboard boxes so beware of those bearing moving supplies. Anyways, I called a number of exterminators, but because it was the weekend no one was picking up and I was desperate to launch my offensive. Luckily Mark took my call, answered all my questions about roaches, the treatment process, and was able to accommodate my schedule and come out that week. Unfortunately, sometimes multiple treatments are needed to completely get rid of an infestation so two weeks after my place was treated I found several roaches scampering around the counter-tops. Because Mark does offer a 30-day guarantee, he came out for free the second time and figured out they were hiding behind the dishwasher. A big thank you to Mark for exterminating the ants who felt that our home was their home. We used to have an ant here and there but after having to redo the flooring in the kitchen due to a flood, we started seeing more and more of them. I gave three star because Mark who is the owner seems to be burned out and time to retire. Mark is a nice guy but needs his employee Rudy to handle the inspections. I also regret using the head smashing mice and rat killing. I would not use that method again as the rats were still alive and suffering! There are traps the mouse or rat goes in for the food and the door closes and they can be re/ released somewhere far from your area. read more

Right off the bat, I was very pleased with Hart's Extermination Co. They without a doubt understand true customer service and took the time to speak with me about each and every concern. They understood my urgency, related that my anxieties were reasonable, and then explained what they would do for me to end the problem. The BEST part is an field tech was available the very next morning for an inspection. Prompt service is not very common anymore, so I can really appreciate a company that still puts customer's needs at the top of their list! Anyway, the field tech arrived the following day. He was very polite, and asked me to reiderate any concerns I had to ensure he didn't miss a thing! After, he did a thorough walk through of my home, checking for the source of my worry and common problems reported by other first time customers of Hart's. Immediately following inspection I was made aware of ALL pest and termite invaders in my home,and much more educated in that area. As soon as we bought our house we tented it, and Harts was recommended by our Realtor. They did a great job. I especially appreciated the time Mark and the secretary took to answer all my questions, since bugs really freak me out! I called Harts and spoke with Mark; I told him I have a swarm of bees in front of my house that I need to get rid of. I called several other pest control companies before this, and I felt that Mark was the most forthright with pricing and information vs. the other companies I had spoken to. He took his time with me and provided useful information. I told him I preferred to have someone come take care of the bees that day; he said he had a full day but he'd see what he could do and get back to me. He kept his word, called me back, and told me he would make a point to come out to the house at the end of his work day. I unfortunately, would not be home at the time he offered to come, but I REALLY appreciated his efforts nonetheless. I did not end up using Harts' service, but I was GREATLY impressed by Mark's customer service.
