He did a crown for me that didn't even come close to matching my tooth color. My next dentist was so appalled he kept repeating "I had nothing to do with that." Doctor Levin is a very good dentist. His nurses are professional and very pleasant. But the reason why I rated this place at 2 stars is because of his staff employee who takes care of their bills. Every time I had an appointment, it felt like I had to battle with that woman very hard to get her to bill me right. EVERY TIME! She has a horrible attitude and she keeps billing you for services that need to be paid for by the insurance company. I corrected her numerous times. Dr. Levin is a very good dentist, but I think it is equally as important that his staff is respectful and pleasant to his patients. There are a lot of good dentists around and I'd rather find an equally good dentist with the billing manager who is respectful to their patients. Besides, they are pretty pricey. read more

I went to the doctor for regular cleaning and preventive checkup. I ended up getting a crown done which still hurts once in a while. Few days later he filled a tooth which started to hurt later and I ended up getting a root canal after spending few nights in pain. I think none of that was required. Oh, and it did not matter to him that I am over my medical insurance allowance limit. Please consult your dental needs with other doctor's before going to Dr. Levin's office. read more

Do NOT go to this dentist!! He barely checked my teeth, and concluded I had 2 cavities. Before my fillings, I noticed a large black spot on one of my teeth and when I went in for the filling I asked him if it might be a cavity. He said it was (how did he miss that, yet I could see it in my mirror??), filled that, and then was done. I asked about the other 2 I originally came in for and he just shrugged them off, my guess because he made them up in the first place. read more

This was a terrible experience. I went to Dr. Levin for a cleaning and he told me I had 9 cavities...I had never had a cavity before so that seemed odd to me but I made a follow up appointment to have two of the cavities filled. That filling has hurt for 5 months so I went to get a second opinion and was told that I do not have any cavities. I doubt that I even had the two cavities that he filled but unfortunately I can't prove that. I will never go back to him again. read more

His office is very cheerful; the staff is very friendly and personable. They know me by name and the atmosphere doesn't make me dread going to the dentist. Dr. Levin and Dr. Markogiannakis are both nice and the people at the reception desk are organized and friendly. However, I suspect they do colossal amounts of overtreatment and upselling, which is why I switched to another dentist. I had seen a dentist 6 months before moving cross country and going to Dr. Levin's office for the first time. That previous dentist gave me a clean bill of health. On my first visit, only 6 months later, Dr. Levin recommended replacing more than a dozen old fillings. I went along with this, although I had my doubts. A year later, he recommended further work on 4 different teeth - 2 fillings and 2 crowns. This was too much and I decided to switch to a new dentist. The new dentist found I only needed one new filling - and it was on a different tooth than the 4 Dr. Levin had flagged! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Levin for about 10 years and he is the best dentist I've ever had! He was first recommended to me by a friend that has major dental issues and she has always raved about him too. He and his staff are very thorough, responsive and friendly. Last weekend, I had a dental emergency and he called me personally within an hour (on a saturday)! The only downside is that he's a bit expensive - but well worth it! read more

Dr. Levin and Dr. Marko are fine, but they have an atrocious staff. First of all, every person I know who has been to this office has been referred elsewhere for specialist care, whether or not they knew they needed something. People are having things done that I've never even heard of. Not sure if they're just trying to cushion their buddy's pockets or what, but it seems to be a problem when EVERYONE I know has been referred to someone else for additional care. Surely we're not all falling apart? Most importantly, the billing staff is HORRIBLE. Expect harassing phone calls and letters from their lawyers if you don't pay them in full at the time of service. I don't know who is able to pay $3,000 for all of this special work they do at the time of service, but they are NOT amenable to a payment plan and expect to be paid in full immediately. Bottom line-- there are too many choices in a city of this size to be treated as horribly as this office has treated me. Save your nerves and money and go to someone who cares about their patients more than their pocketbooks. Everyone deserves to see a dentist who actually cares. read more

I have been going to Dr. Levin for years, starting after the retirement of another dentist out in Virginia. Dentists are not inter-changeable, and I don't think I have enough space here to say all of the good things about Dr. Levin that I have to say. He is punctual, which in today's busy office environments, especially downtown, is a feat by itself. His patient-manner is wonderful, he is a natural with people. However, let's get to the dentistry.... he is an artist with dentistry. I have had temporary crowns in that I wanted to leave in they were so beautiful. That was before I saw the permanent crowns, I know I showed off my beautiful set of crowns to too many people after they were in. One other comment to make that I think is important is that I do have sensitive teeth so I do need the application of novacaine (sp?) Dr. Levin is able to apply novacaine without any pinch of the needle. I could go on and on, let me just say, Dr. Levin earns all of these "top Dentist" ratings that he gets, he absolutely does. read more

My experience with Dr. Levin was very poor. I was in for a simple fix on a chipped tooth - something just about any dentist should be able to fix by carefully polishing the chipped area. However, it is evident that Dr. Levin was not careful and I was probably with him a total of 3 minutes as he hurriedly worked on my mouth. I thought he was going to brief me and carefully polish the chip down, but Dr. Levin performed it too quickly and did not even ask if I was satisfied. He insisted that it now "looked better" and that over a few weeks the tooth will even out. He did not care to explain to me his intentions and failed to deliver on what he said was a "quick fix." The quality of the polishing was very poor and very rushed and he did not seem to care whether I was uneasy about the results. I strongly advise finding a different dentist for any dental needs. In fact, Dr. Marko (in the same office space) worked on me before but was on vacation. She is clearly more attentive and tailors her work specifically to your requests. read more
