I was speaking with asst for final instructions and then front office called and said entire office was closing down FOREVER tomorrow (day of appt), it was doctors last day and my condition was too complicated so they canceled! I rescheduled somewhere else -- they were efficient and did procedure with local anesthesia in 20 minutes.

Procedure took exactly 28minutes, yet the charges with insurance that I've noticed later at home, showed three instances of 15 minutes for anesthesia, which would make the whole procedure longer than 45 minutes (considering preparing ect) Another issue that didn't sit well with me was that I paid for everything immediately after the procedure. We had all the charges itemized, calculated, and confirmed with the insurance. Typically, these amounts are slightly higher than the actual cost, and one usually receives a small refund afterward. However, in this case, about six months later, I received an additional bill stating that I owed nearly $200 more. I attempted to call for clarification, but either the call was dropped or the explanation was so unclear and crude, as if I were dumb having consideration for own money. So, while my health turned out fine, I won't be returning.

He hurt me repeatedly, and it seemed that he really didn't care. He did 4 tooth extractions in one day--he told me to take ibuprofen and acetaminophen. I did, but I still was up many times that first night with unremitting pain. He wouldn't give me anything stronger, not even a few tablets with no refills to help get through the first 24-48 hours post-op. He pulled so many teeth in a row that it threw my bite off. I bit my lip hard at least a dozen times, but he was unimpressed with my lip wound and didn't help or advise me in any way. Maybe he doesn't know that it is impossible for 5-10 post-op pills with no refills to addict anyone. It is mean, if not sadistic, to let your patients suffer needlessly like that. In my opinion, don't go to this guy unless you want to pay top dollar for entirely avoidable pain.

Dr. Davis has a warm and caring bed side manned, and I knew soon after meeting him that I was in good hands. He retreated my root canal, which required two separate visits. Incredibly, I felt absolutely NO PAIN during either procedure. I was in excruciating pain and I looked like the Elephant Mam when I first met Dr. Davis 4 weeks ago. The swelling has completely subsided and the pain is a thing of the past. To boot, Dr. David referred me to my new favorite restaurant-"The Big Greek Cafe" on Georgia Avenue. I paid $600 for an appointment (with Dr Brian Davis) that got me no closer to an answer on what I should do. My options were half-heartedly explained to me after an exam, with my face numb, in the waiting room with other patients walking in and out. No one ever followed up. This might just be bad luck, but my mouth was more sore after that exam than it was after my actual root canal a week later (in a different office). I wound up driving to see two other dental specialists in the suburbs. By contrast, they each fully explained the options, taking time to walk me though it, in a room sitting down, pointing at x-rays. Neither of them charged me $600 for the consult.

I was continually reminded about my appointment and she even reminded me to keep flossing!!! The front desk staff and her assistants were super nice and even remembered after my 6 month follow up. She also made sure I was referred to a proper dentist for my crown. She really really cares like you are her own child. Well she is a mother after all, but still, she and her office are just hands down amazing!!!
