I would give this place TEN stars if I could. It's so difficult to find an honest mechanic shop and I am so lucky that I found Harvey's. We have brought our car there three or four times and had nothing but superior service every single time. On the last visit my daughters jeep came into the shop with an extremely loud noise that we could not figure out. I was expecting a very expensive engine repair bill and instead was presented with a $75 diagnostic fee to put one of the spark plugs back in place that had wiggled itself loose and come out. I am the do it yourself father that replaced my daughters spark plugs 4 weeks ago, and I either didn't put one in tight enough or did not put one in all the way. They fixed it and presented us with an extremely surprisingly low repair bill. They could have taken advantage of me very very easily and I cannot be more excited to give them a 10 star review. As a little kid I remember my dad taking our vehicles to Harvey's Autotech for maintenance and repairs. I remember going with him as he was always pleased with their service. My dad has always said they were honest and extremely professional and best in town. Now about 30 years later being 42 Im taking my vehicles there with my son. The first time taking my son to Harvey's was emotional being I remember my dad taking me when I was a kid. The second I walked through that door I was greeted with a big smile assuring me I was going to be taken care of as my son was handed a toy car from Harvey himself. If you like to be jacked around on whether your car gets fixed - go ahead take your chances. Took my car in on April 13 bc I could not get the car out of park & my pwr seats were not working. Got the car back on 4/14 -Great. Had to take a trip to visit my cat, 50 miles ONE WAY! When I went to leave, could not get the car out of park. 3 attempts with the bypass it worked. Mon had tow the car to Harvey's told them I needed the car by Friday. I left them with a list of things that needed to be fixed. Thurs late afternoon, had to call them re status of my car. This is the thing - u have to call THEM! Was told the getting the car out of park was fixed. He still had not gotten to the list I left. Was told he would call me before noon on Friday. Guess what - again had to call him around 2ish. He STILL had not taken care my list. Yes so forgive me that I lost my temper. I just wanted my car fixed & to get other repairs needed. It appears that was too much to ask because I'm sitting in a parking lot bc I can't get my car out of park!!! These people are not my regular gear heads. My BIL highly recommended them & they had fixed something with my car previously. read more

Took my car into Harvey's mechanic today at 8am to to get a Diagnostics. The car is overheating. They said it would be 3 hours find out what's wrong with the car. I called at 2:30 because I still haven't heard back from them, I was told they didn't know for sure what was wrong with the car that they would have to do further testing. They told me that it could be the fans. If they replace the fans and the car continues to overheat then I would still have to pay more money to figure out what the real causes I will never take it back to this place. read more

From talking to them on the phone to walking in to their shop, the service is Amazing. I have a motorhome that others could not figure out the problem. I took it to Harvey's and they did a complete 27 point inspection to figure out the issue. They kept me in the loop as the work went on. They were very friendly and wanted to get it up and running just as much a I did. They ended up figure out the issue that no one else could. They replaced my MAF Sensor and said that they just wanted to make sure that was the issue before calling me. They did call and said your Motorhome is no longer running rough, it is warming up correctly, and you have your power back. I was weary at first because other shops have said that to me before. I went in the shop to pick up the motorhome and they were so friendly. They told me the motorhome is running perfect. So I jumped in and started it up and bam! Sucker Fired right up with no rough idle. I was like ok ok. Lets see how it drives. I drove It home and noticed the bad boy has power now. I was very impressed with their work and my family is so happy now that we can get her registered and start our camping journey. This place knows what they are doing and it shows with there workmanship and the customer service. I would recommend them to family and friends. This is now my go to shop for all auto repairs. I took my van in for a new radiator. The price was reasonable. The next day it was leaking transmission fluid in the front. I took it back and was told the transmission coolant lines were worn and brittle. They should have seen this when they replaced the radiator. They put in new lines ($137). The next day the the gears were slipping. I checked the transmission fluid level and it didn't even reach the dipstick. I had to add 2 quarts of fluid. I thought they were an honest place. I will not be going back to them. I'll look for another repair shop. They also told me the van was leaking oil and needed an oil change. It was not leaking oil and did not need an oil change. We are so thankful for Harvey's great customer service. My boyfriend called first to make sure they could service our truck with a short notice and so early in the morning. Mike Duddy answered the call and was helpful and told us to take our truck so that they can take a look at it for a better diagnostic. Sure enough as soon as we got to their service yard we were helped right away and they were able to take care of the problem while we waited. Their service technician told us that he noticed that our front tires were cracked that we should look into replacing them soon. He wasn't pushing us to get tires, he was just letting us know what he noticed. We were going for a long trip so we decided to get our tires replaced to feel peace of mind. They didn't push us into getting tires but we wanted to be safe driving over 200 miles each way. My boyfriend and I think that everything happens for a reason. We went in there to fix a minor issue but we also got new tires. If it wasn't for the minor issue we had we would have driven far that day and could have gotten a flat tire and possibly into a bad accident. We want to thank Mike and all his crew who were very helpful and gave us peace of mind during our long trip. Oh and they offer free coffee, soda and water while their customers wait. You feel right at home, maybe because they are a family owned business. They know how to take care of their customers, they treat you like family. read more

Really do not like writing a bad review. Thought I had finally found an honest shop. Took my van in for a new radiator. Their prices was reasonable. I LOVE this place. I'll never go to another mechanic again. I brought my car in for a diagnosis. Harvey (the actual owner) is the one who drove my car and called me personally to tell me what was wrong. He is a kind and fair man. He charged me less than the original estimate which was amazing! He told me the truth about my car and understood that it would be impractical to spend the money that was required to make my old car run normal again. I have lots of things wrong with my old car, but he focused on my main concern. Then he gave me a list of maintenance chores directly linked to my concern. He spent 8 minutes on the phone discussing the problems and answering my questions. I must say, this is the first mechanic that has charged me less and hasn't argued with me after diagnosis. The mechanics I go to normally want me to keep my car there and blow up little old age issues as life or death situations. I hardly write reviews, but given the high level of service provided by Harvey's Autotech today, I feel I must write a review to let other people know about this auto repair shop. I scheduled a vehicle inspection (of a used Promaster Van) because I wanted a professional and independent judgment from third-party mechanic of the van I was interested in buying. The scheduling was a breeze and price quoted for inspection was reasonable. The story: The impatient owner of the van (the seller) arrived at shop 15 minutes before my arrival. He Did not want to wait for me and stormed inside to talk to Jonathan (a representative of Harvey's), demanding to know how long the inspection was going to take. Jonathan informed him that it would take approximately an hour and that the van will need to be on a lift for a thorough inspection. The answers provided by Jonathan didn't go over well with the seller. After finding out how the shop does a car inspection, the seller texted me repeatedly about canceling the appointment and threatened to cancel the deal. Jonathan called me to inform of the situation and advised me of the seller's oddly behavior. Upon my arrival, I checked in and met the front desk team, including Jonathan, he further clarified that the seller didn't want to van to be inspected and advised that I shouldn't go through with the deal. But being a stubborn person, I went outside to convince the seller to let the shop inspect the vehicle; he reluctantly gave me the key. I went inside and paid the inspection fee, then the seller changed his mind midway and wanted to leave. I didnt feel comfortable and recalling what Jonathan has said, I decided the deal wasn't worth it and asked for my $500 deposit back. Seller refused to return my deposit, I told him that without my deposit, he wasn't going to get the key (luckily I was holding the key). It was a risky move, but I had to do it to get my money back. He threatened to call the police on me, but after 40 mins he finally gave in and gave my back my deposit. It was bitter sweet, but I'm glad the deal did not go through, as I can imagine all sort of issues I may encounter had I bought it today. I'm also glad to have found a good auto shop with nice and honest people. Although they didn't complete the inspection, I'm sure they would have done an excellent job. Jonathan returned the inspection fee and the office team allowed me to stay inside the office until the everything was over. So if you are looking for a good auto repair shop, please give Harvey's your business. They truly deserve your business as they are honest, reliable, good working people - an endangered species nowadays. read more

The entire staff are the friendliest people and know how to put the customer first! First time I brought my brothers car in, they said it would be a $1200 fix, and it was just something needed to be plugged in. Next time more lies saying I needed oil change etc when I had done it the week before. These aren't the only times they've lied just the most recent. After upgrading my headlights with LED bulbs, I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be blinding oncoming traffic if the cutoff on the new bulbs was higher than the regular ones. Made an appointment to bring it in to Harvey's to have the headlight alignment checked and adjusted. They checked them and they were spot on, so required no adjustment after all. They didn't charge me a dime - you don't get that kind of hometown service with a chain shop or dealer service department. I've never had anything short of a stellar experience from Harvey's and that's why I keep coming back and recommend them to my friends. read more

I brought my can in there the other day for a slight rattle in the engine. Dropped it off on Monday and they finally got back to me on Wed afternoon. The diagnoses was a loose timing belt tensioner. The lady proceeded to tell me that I needed a new timing belt, alternator and a new water pump. I asked what was wrong with those parts and she said they just like to change them when they do a timing belt? HUH? Then she said it was over $1,200 dollars for these unnecessary repairs. When I went to pick it up they charged me $80 and the rattle is still there. Couldn't they just have tightened or offered to change the belt tensioner. Seems to me that they try to take advantage of people with unnecessary repairs. Well, Sorry Harvey you just lost another customer. read more

this " Father-Son " corporation is crook. The heather in my car was blowing cold air on driver side. The estimate they give me was around $140. The I picked up the car, the bill was over $1,000. The heather stopped working and I took the car back ( it had three years warranty ). The Jonnathan guy was not happy to check the car again. Then he said they had worked on the passenger side not on the driver side ( nice excuse not to fix their deffective job). Then his master father came to action with a millions of papers in his hand saying that they had worked on the passenger side ( again, the was no problems on the passenger side ). Now, I remember that after they worked on the car, they kept sending me text messages ( for several days in a row ) asking me to write good comments about them on online. They refused to fix the heather that I had spent over $1,000. When I was in my car ready to leave his mechanic shop, the old man ( the father ) had blocked the car and didn't want to let me to leave his mechanic shop and threatened me to beat me !!!!! These people are in wrong business and law shoul stop them from doing these unethical and wrong doings. read more
