My car was making a crazy noise every time I turned on and little by little I started smelling more and more fumes that I couldn't even use my AC. I took it in to see if they could check it out. I was lucky to have spoken to Anthony. He was very kind but direct and showed me what the possible problem could be based on the age of the car, sound and fumes. But he made it clear he would need to use the lift to confirm. He was apologetic he couldn't take care of it right away due to their current workload so I took it in the next week, and in the same day it was ready for pick up. He was right, it was the part he thought but instead of a crack it was fully broken in half! Luckily, he is a welder and I didn't need to buy a new piece. I called this shop and after just briefly describing my car issue, the person on the phone was able to diagnose the issue and stated it would be $1,000. I told him that I had the check engine scanned and it was something else, then he changed his "diagnoses" and stated what needed to be done and again stated it would be $1,000. It seems more like this guy just wanted $1,000. I highly suggest going to another shop. read more

I took my car n a few weeks ago for a lot of work to be done. I had a list from brakes , front suspension, wheel bearings, cabin filter and more. All the work was done in an extremely timely fashion. Just amazing ; I'm probably still alive thanks to Kevin and his crew. A couple of months ago my 200k miles car putted out on the freeway from a dead battery and alternator. When I got the car, I could not believe that not only my primary issues (battery and alternator) were resolved, but that what was a baseline noisy old engine is now quiet as a whisper, and the car that I knew was at the end of it's life, drove amazingly efficient and smooth again. This was the 4th mechanic I went to, finally someone that is reasonably priced and actually cared about the details of the car! I was amazed.. Now what's more amazing however was that three weeks ago week I ran straight into a deer at 85 miles/hr on the fast track lane on the 5 freeway, which skidded me 8 TIMES ACROSS the lanes and finally crashed into the far left rail. My car was totaled. I had to admit to calling quits of the old trusty car that has been with me for the past 11 years through all my life struggles. Last ditch effort, called trusty Kevin up again hahaha, "help?". Mind this car was not only squished and dragging, but reeked incredibly bad of dead deer caucus (blood and fur meat and all). He said, no it'll stink for miles! After a bit of convincing, I had AAA drop off the car. When I picked it up, it was like Cinderellas chariot again. Smooth and no longer reeking of dead deer. What the hell, I'm not sure whether to be amazed I survived the accident or that the car is now still running smooth! So now here I am finally writing the long deserved review. One of the most honest mechanics I have ever met! I called because I needed a full inspection on a used car before I purchase form a private owner. Kevin took his time and answered all my questions with honesty and professionalism. He asked all the right questions and walked me through the complete inspection process. Wow, Corona Auto Repair Services is GREAT! I'm a loyal Chevy owner for the past 20 years and have generally gone back to the dealer for all repair issues (usually still covered under extended warranty). However, after the last few issues that were no longer covered by warranty, I felt the sting of paying those dealer repair prices. When my Suburban's AC stopped blowing cold air, I decided to try to find a local shop instead and roll the dice. Fortunately I researched auto repair on Yelp and found Corona Auto Repair with high ratings. I went there today, without an appointment and in the early afternoon fully expecting they would need to keep the car for days etc. To my surprise, Kevin was quick to greet me and see how he could help. He did some initial diagnosis and had a pretty good feeling the freon just needed to be recharged. I had him also look at a defroster issue for the back window (something the Chevy dealer wanted to charge me $100s to fix/replace). Kevin called me an hour later, all fixed, ready to go!
