Unprofessional she put the plastic on me and started stretching it towards her. I told wait so I adjusted plastic. She asked what did I say. I told you wait cause the plastic was on my face and around my neck. She than said to get out. I said why. She said I was acting up. Told her all I said was wait. Came here a couple time for my husband & sons haircut. They do very well job but this visit seem rushed. My husband and son went together & Both of their haircuts were uneven before they put gel on it. But never noticed it until they washed their hair when they got home. I bring my son to Harvey's BarberShop for his haircuts. The customer parking is located behind the barbershop. When you walk in it is clean, smells disinfected, is well lit, and spacious. You have to make an appointment in advance, they do not take walk in appointments. Maria gave us a great experience. We arrived a little before my son's scheduled appointment and she went ahead and started right away. I will never come back here. One woman was late for work. Then instead of starting to cut people's hair she decides to stand around and engage in personal conversation with a room full of customers waiting. Then while I am finally getting my hair cut: 1. One woman decides to walk out to make a personal phone call while there are still like 10 people waiting. 2. Another woman is on her phone on a personal phone call while cutting a customer's hair. 3. The woman cutting MY hair stops during the job more then once to engage in personal conversation with the workers on both sides of her. This was absolutely THE worst display of professionalism I have ever seen. My hair cut shouldn't have taken longer then 10 minutes took almost 25 due to the lack of professionalism and them having to STOP what they were doing to talk about personal topics. This is your typical barber shop that caters to males young and old. They do a good job in buzzing my husband and son's hair. They only use buzzers, not scissors here. My husband likes coming here because he likes to do skin fades, and here they have this special instrument that really gets down to the skin. When done, the back of his head is smoother than a baby's bottom. Well, not really, but it comes in as a close second. My son likes to come here cause he gets unlimited lollipops afterwards. The place is always kept clean, and they have two big flat screen tvs to keep you occupied. The ladies who do your hair are always nice and friendly. Some talk way more than others, but those are the ones that make time go by quicker because youre too busy talking story that you dont realize how much time has past. I will continue to take my boys here because they not only do a good job, my son always asks to go here when his hair is all grown out. read more

I had many terrible hair cut experiences in the past, but my hair cut at Harvey's has topped the list. For people looking for the basic haircut, this place is decent for the price. However, I simply asked for medium skin fade and I somehow ended up the opposite of what I had asked for. The barber was not knowledgeable and should not be licensed to cut hair. It is hair and it will grow, but the staff here was absolutely horrible. During my hair cut two of the barbers were busy talking about relationship drama, which was okay but it last for the whole duration of receiving my haircut. Please take the time to research and find a better barber and it is worth the extra dollars! I have been growing out my hair and now I have to start all over again. read more

They raised their prices so I went from paying $10 each to $15. That's basically a 50% increase!!! That defeated the whole reason I was drawn to this place!!! They were good but really such a huge increase isn't worth it. Plus the swift always seems so long, and the customer service is lacking. I took my son to Harvey's for the first time. I have heard good things about this barbershop and decided to give it a try. I went on a weekend and it was pretty full. They had customers of all ages; adults, children, teenagers, seniors. All the barbers were busy with customers. Harvey's has the stations in front as well as the waiting area. You take a number and wait for your number to be called. I really like their process because it is simple. The numbers being called are also displayed above on the wall. It can get busy during the weekends. The lady who cut my son's hair was great. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my son's hair and she cut it exactly how I wanted. They also have pictures on the wall which you can refer to and let them know how you want your hair cut. I would highly recommend Harvey's. read more

I'm done with this place. I've given it so many chances because it's conveniently located and cheap, but at this point it's not even bang-for-your-buck, you barely get-what-you-pay-for. My brother and I walked in 1115 Saturday, no wait, so there's that. Sat down, told the lady how I wanted it, and she started. Seemed ok with the sides and back, but I asked for an inch OFF the top, and she LEFT an inch on the top, and it's not even even. I specifically told her that I sidecomb my hair, and I wanted the top to stay a little longer. How tf is anyone going to sidecomb an inch?? And when she made the tram line, it ended up a quarter inch wide. I didn't see any of this until the haircut was over, or else I would have stopped and left. The line up... Sucked. She applied shaving cream or gel or something, but she didn't use a hot towel to soften my skin before OR after the straight razor. I know expecting a hot towel is asking a lot, but if I knew that was the case, I would have said not to bother with the razor. My skin isn't sensitive by most standards, but when you have cold skin AND a dull razor AND a heavy hand, it doesn't look very promising. The razor felt like she was using a 10 year old scissor blade on my neck, and I know for a fact that she broke skin multiple times 1) because I felt it when it happened, and 2) when I showered after I got home, I felt stings in other spots. And my sideburns aren't even lined up at all, just looks like natural growth. And that's just for my haircut, nevermind my brother's. From this point on, I'm either spending $30+ on a proper haircut experience or looking homeless. I'm done with this place. read more

Razor fades! They do it close and if it ain't close enough for you, just tell them and they will keep going with no attitude. I'm military and love the clean fresh razor fade but not to high because I'm not a goofy ass marine. But they keep it tight and do it clean. And for you older men that got caterpillar eyebrows....yep they will trim and thin them out too. Highly recommended. read more

All the best barbers have left though and replaced with lousy ones. Today was my final visit to Harvey's! Went there last week and got the worst haircut in 20 years. My Name is Curtis, I've been getting my hair cut at Harvey's for about 6 months and never have I ever experienced the customer service I experienced today. I got there at 2:45 I pulled my number (29) they were at 19. Once they got to my number barbers started disappearing I didn't think it was cause of me until the lady next to Cissy said something about it the lady next to Cissy called my number however she didn't no how to cut a Flat top which is perfectly fine so I waited on Cissy to finish with her customer. Once she finished I sat down in the chair and the other Barbers reappeared. One of the barbers was a manager and she told Cissy that my hair cut would be 25 dollars instead of 10 I'm Active Duty Military. Now I wouldn't have had a problem with this if she would of told me this once I walked in but she didn't. I've never done an review never wanted to but this pissed me off so bad I had to share my thoughts on it. Cissy cut my hair and did an Excellent job. But I will not be returning to this barbershop and I don't recommend it for any Military or Civilian personnel!!! read more

Honestly I used to love coming to cut my hair here, but as of yesterday I'm pissed. Yesterday I finally got my haircut from aunty with the short hair, and I felt good about it. After she cut my hair I looked in the mirror and guys she literally butchered my hair!!! I asked for a skin fade and 4 on the top. She faded it into a half fohawk! When I asked her what the heck was this, she gave me a blank look and asked for the money. This is the 3rd time my hair got messed up!! I literally went to great clips after to salvage my hair!! If I could give no stars, I would. This is place has the worst customer service EVER. My brother got his haircut here today and while the haircut itself isnt too bad he has a very noticeable abrasion on the front right of his head. When he came out of the shop I noticed the cut on his head and so I told him to get his money back. Any place with even decent customer service would have apologized and gave him his money after all his head was bleeding and the cut was obvious. The guy did give him back his money after being super rude and telling him not to come back anymore. Best place I have found for an inexpensive clipper cut. If you like the back of your neck shaved and "whitewalls" over your ears, ask for it and they will break out the straight razor. Not too many places do that today. Military and other public servants (firefighters, police, corrections officers, etc.) get discounted rates, so be sure to ask for those rates and be prepared to show ID. Thought I'd try here since it's cheap and use my boys as guinea pigs. Not too bad for $13 ($11 cut and $2 line-up) I'm surprised the boys stay seated throughout the whole time. Pretty quick service. I do agree with some other yelpers the barbers can be really chatty with each other instead of paying attention to the customer. I'm sitting here as my youngest is sitting in the seat for almost 5 minutes and the lady hasn't even touched the clippers yet. She decided to empty out her hair bag (?)
