Always great food and nice service. However, if you are attracted by the free wifi, you better check before you order.

I've been here at least 4 times. The food is very good. Jackpot poutine, the sandwiches, salads…read more.. no complaints. The service is very .. Quebec. Nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about. Tonight was a Sat night and it was busy. Eric, our waiter, did his best. We had a really nice time and whatever white wine they gave me (house?).. it was delicious. I had a very good caesar salad with juicy chicken breast. I omitted the croutons and had the dressing on the side. Everyone else had their tried and true club sandwich and loved it.

Their menu covers just about anything anyone could possibly have a yen for. They've got everything from pizzas, pastas, rotisserie chicken, ribs, sandwiches, burgers, salads, heavier meals and a whole page just dedicated to Poutine. They definitely get five stars for choice. I was there for lunch and despite the endless choices. I chose a plain old club sandwich. I split it with my mother and I'm glad we did because it arrived on a 14 inch platter and needless to say, it was giganormous! It came with coleslaw, a pickle and fries. The club sandwich was good except the tomatoes weren't fresh. They were mushy. Other than that everything was great and their fries were very good. They'd be even better if they'd have peeled them. Yeah I know it's the trendy thing not to peel them these days but they taste better peeled. So there! My brother ordered the fish and chips that also arrived on a huge platter. He really enjoyed it but I personally prefer the more traditional batter. See pic. My brother has been for their dinner buffet and says it's excellent. Roast beef, roast pork, salmon etc. Last but not least, their prices are very reasonable and we had top-notch service.

So I struggled to write this because I used to love this restaurant. The portion sizes were…read moresignificantly shrunk, and the brewed coffee was horrendous. I usually get a latte there but decided on a regular one, that was a mistake. Their food did taste good, and their chutney was still delicious but the service was a bit gruff. They weren't rude by any means but I was ignored for 10 mins just waiting to ask for a takeout box. I could tell he was a bit overwhelmed and probably having an off morning, so I didn't take it personally. But when I'm paying $30 for one breakfast bowl and a coffee, I'd expect more than 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and a few mushrooms in it. The food is delicious but you're definitely overpaying and 50/50 on the coffee lol

In search for weekend brunch this place came up we thought of trying it out. Parking in streets is…read morenot existent. Had really look at side streets a bit far to get one. All the nearby spots are reserved for the apartment dwellers in the building. Ordered a Huevo Ranchero ($16) - which came with scrambled eggs two corn tortillas with salsa, cheese, sour cream and a side order of fries. The eggs could have used some seasoning even with salsa it needed something extra A Vegan Breakfast Bowl ($14) - a mixture of tofu, spinach, mushrooms and tomato chutney - which somehow tasted to all 4 of us like onion chutney. The vegetables done good, but tofu again had just no flavour. Tofu had a spice rub all over, but it tasted like plain tofu. The Bacun strips were rice paper rolls with some attempted flavours but none came through. And two Vegan Bennies ($16) - a super grainy slice of bread topped with the same tofu, green onions, Bacun and some red pepper strips (NOT Coulis as described in the menu). If some person was having a tofu dish for the first time I think they would describe tofu as no flavour at all. We vegans know that you can do amazing things with Tofu. The home fries in the above dishes was the best - now that we could give 5 out 5. All of us had to go and get Sriracha and Ketchup from the counter to rescue the dishes. Coffee was too weak as well. When you go in and order on the counter and you get food delivered to your table. Should the restaurant still offer to tip on the machine BEFORE even we were served? The order did take a long time, the table not clean when we sat, no condiments on the table and coffee refills slow. An extra star for giving tons of vegan options

From the moment we walked into Joey Rideau, we felt welcomed and appreciated. Our experience…read morestarted off on a high note with a complimentary glass of non-alcoholic sparkling wine. What a thoughtful touch! Our dining experience was more on the expensive side this time around. However, you can most definitely get away with spending little due to their amazing happy hour options. We ordered the steak with lobster, lobster spaghetti, truffle parmesan fries, and their signature sangria. The steak was cooked spot on: medium rare and just a touch on the rare side, exactly how I wanted it and mentioned from the get-go. Everything arrived promptly, which made the whole experience feel smooth and well-paced. We placed 4 happy hour sangrias, which were perfectly balanced and refreshing. What really stood out was the service. Our server, Ace, was wonderful, attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging. She even surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate, which made the evening feel extra special. The restaurant itself is immaculate: spotlessly clean with a smart, stylish setup that immediately catches your eye. The ambiance was electric, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable night out. Overall, Joey Rideau exceeded expectations in every way. I would come back in a heartbeat!
