I have been a Harvey's girl for over 10 years and I cherish my seatbelt bag collection! I recently experienced some health issues and endured a lengthy stay in the hospital, and a very difficult recovery. Once I was home, I started seeing posts on social media of the newest Harvey's release for Mother's Day - a collab with the tattoo artist Sid - and the newest line is called "Tough as a Mother", which seemed so fitting after what I had just gone through, so I knew I needed this bag to add to my collection. We went to the First Friday release and was able to get my bag signed by Melanie & Dana Harvey, and Sid. The Harveys are always so nice! And their staff are so helpful - and organized! My first Harvey's purchase was this Minnie Mouse wallet with red seatbelts, white polka dots and a black bow. I'm blown away that they're based her in Santa Ana and in such a cool location. That being said, it's not in a regular part of town and I parked out front but parking can be a little tricky. Also the hours are super limited, like during normal working hours. I stopped in and they had the cutest and best stuff, but of course they were sold out of the Haunted Mansion stuff, but had it on display. I didn't see a major discount on pricing, basically it's a retail store but it makes a difference seeing these products in person versus Instagram or online. If you're in the area definitely stop by but if you're thinking of making a pilgrimage here from afar, I'd save your gas and just look at it online. read more

I first discovered Harveys bags on a vacation to Walt Disney World more than ten years ago. The designs were so cute and unique and as I continued to visit Disney on both coasts over the years, my admiration for Harveys bags grew. Being a teacher, I finally made the plunge to get my first Harveys bag when they released the Limited Edition Minnie Mouse convertible purse with the notebook paper bow and composition book print. Aside from the cute and unique look, the quality was impeccable. I've been hooked ever since. I finally made my first visit to their store a few weeks ago during a recent Disney Minnie Mouse release and trust me...it didn't disappoint. Although they're not doing any in store releases right now due to COVID, customers can opt to pick up their merchandise in person and save on the shipping fee (merchandise is ordered online through their website). My first experience coming by the store under these conditions was smooth and quick. There was a small line that had built up of others also picking up their orders. The woman packing and handing customers their orders was warm, friendly, quick, and exuded a genuine gratitude for the customers. I ended up needing to return an item I ordered, and she was extremely patient with my questions and efficient with processing the return. Definitely a positive experience overall. Parking can be challenging as the only option is street parking. My husband ended up dropping me off and circling around the block until I was done. Additionally, as others have mentioned, the online ordering process is a little stressful and hectic. The company has tried to limit many items to a purchase of one per household, but things tend to sell out online within minutes. Finally, I wanted to mention that Harveys does do other designs not centered Disney characters. So if you're interested in purchasing but are not big on Disney, they do have several other staple choices in various colors, designs, and shapes. Good quality products, outstanding service, and great look to their merchandise, Harveys has quickly risen to the top 5 of my favorite brands of purses. Can't wait to visit again soon! read more

To be honest, this is probably hands down great quality craftsmanship for a purse. My HUGE issue, is that they create an unfair, (even somewhat fake) hype to their limited edition releases. So you THINK you scored an exclusive just to find out a week or two later that they are still available. That is a HUGE bummer for those of us that frantically waited, refreshed 1000 times and purchased at the time of release thinking that we were in fact getting a Limited Edition. I know that everybody seems to be doing this however I would think Harvey's would uphold a greater sense of faithfulness to their collectors, as this in my opinion- is totally dishonest. read more

I used to pass this store all the time when is was located in Santa Ana off Broadway and Buffalo. My girlfriend showed me a cute Star Wars t-shirt she wanted (she was working working at Disneyland getting ready to open Star Wars land). I just so happened to stop at the store since I worked in the area and they had just received shipment. I was able to get my girlfriend and myself a cute shirt! Placed an order for Harveys new Haunted Mansion Park hopper and wallet. Both items were in my cart and I was adding my credit card information. Once purchase was placed both items were taken out of my cart and I was charged $0.00. That is so unethical and a horrible way to conduct business. Hello! I would first like to start off by saying the products here are very well made but that is not the problem. I am a California resident but I do not live in L.A. area so I am not able to go their store therefore, all of my purchases have been online. My mother actually found this company when I was a freshman in high school as I am now a junior in college. She bought me their leopard print seatbelt wallet. I loved it because it was durable and big. So my mom and I loved the product and company however, recently with all of the new launches we have not been able to purchase any of them because they sell out immediately which is very frustrating because we are long time buyers of this company and use their products because we loved them. However, since we can't seem to buy anything anymore no matter how quick we are on the website, we have no luck. Also, the products that get sold out are being resold on eBay for absolutely outrageous prices! The company has changed one thing to my knowledge which is that customers cannot purchase duplicates which is absolutely frustrating because it has changed nothing for my mother and I because we still cannot get any of the products. I recently bought my 3rd bag from Harveys and a week later I realized that the inner zipper pocket from my purse wasn't sewn completely from the inside on both ends. Meanwhile, I had just taken back my Snow White Harvey bag because the stitching was falling apart. The good thing about Harvey's is that their bags have warranty, so they're able to take your bag and fix it. However, it takes about 2 weeks to get your bag back. Now I have to drive back and take my 3rd bag to get fixed. It's very upsetting, but like I said before their bags have warranty. I would still keep purchasing their bags, but I suggest to make sure everything is completely sewn right! read more

Great bags. I have been buying my wife Harveys bags online for over seven years. This will be the last. I bought my wife a bag in mid October for Christmas. She sent me the one she wanted and knowing that theses bags sellout I thought I should jump on it. Unfortunately, the strap is placed differently on this bag than on her other bag same style. It is uncomfortable on her shoulder so she wanted to exchange it for a more expensive bag. I do understand there is a 30 day return policy however, I thought that Harveys would exchange it considering it was a Christmas gift. Most company's have a return policy for Christmas gifts- not Harveys. So sad to say that this company and customer service department can careless. I was asking for an exchange not a refund. I went into my wife's closet to see how many bags and accessories I have bought over the years-12 bags and wallets all together. Harveys you have lost a customer over a simple issue that could have been easily resolved making the customer feel valued. Harveys doesn't care about there customers or keeping them satisfied. After years of hearing wonderful things from my friend about her fun Harveys bags, I recently bought one. It shipped immediately, and would have arrived immediately had UPS delivered to the correct address. Since this is a smaller, local company, I wasn't sure how the customer service experience would be when I contacted them about the UPS error, but customer service was exceptional. Rocio contacted UPS for me and tried to get it sorted out. In the meantime, he arranged for a new bag to be delivered to me. When the original bag turned up, he rerouted the new shipment - it was totally seamless. Now that the bag is here, I LOVE IT. It's beautiful, sturdy, and it's the Treecycle kind so it matches everything. I had a GREAT experience with Harveys and I'll be buying lots more bags! read more

I am truly a Harveys fan for life! Luckily, my best friend introduced me to the wonderful world of "seatbelt purses" and all that accompanies it! It's fair to say I'm addicted to a beautifully, well made, fun product! When I saw my first purse in person, the "Harveys Disney Couture Minnie Mouse Leopard Satchel", I was SOLD! I had to have that GORGEOUS bag! Not just a seatbelt purse, not just a handle bag but a cross body?! Genius! Bravo! Love it! LoL Print, hardware, Harveys logo tags and the adorable leopard Minnie Mouse attached almost sent me over the edge. Perfection. Period. I'm not a purse junkie AT ALL and have now become a lifer. I've been a customer since 2006. I recently purchased a click n carry strap that came with broken clasps- they barely opened. I went back to get the straps fixed and was told that it's normally a 4-6 week turn around time but they would try to rush it since it was a brand new strap. I got it back quickly but the clasps were worse than before only now they both opened so easily, there was no give and the lightest tap opened them. I tried to tell the worker but she said it was normal. I asked if I could leave to get it fixed properly and she said no, it's normal. I go home and email the company, and this time a worker checks the clasps and says yes they're definitely not functional. I get the strap back and one side is perfect but the other side just doesn't close properly and stays open. Needless to say I've had enough. I'm done. Horrible customer service. If you buy something I hope it never breaks because you'll just be frustrated and out of money. read more

For years, I had always loved the seatbelt bags & then about 4 years ago, I purchased my very 1st one with a matching wallet (It was a brown large satchel with the matching clutch wallet). About 2 years ago, my boyfriend bought me a black large satchel with a matching hip pack. I ended up purchasing the black clutch to match the purse. On my birthday last year, my boyfriend purchased a large purple satchel with a matching wallet from the Chino Hills warehouse (before it closed down). I was super ecstatic because it was the color & size that I wanted, but the unfortunate thing is is that for some reason, that purse didn't have the feet on the bottom like my other purses did. I spoke to someone in customer service the other day asking why they didn't have the feet. Their answer to me was that some have them & some don't - end of conversation. Okaayyyyyyy, so I decided to email them asking the same question. I even asked if I could purchase the feet to have Harvey's put them on because I wanted my purse to last for a long time. Their response was that they do not add feet to bags that came with out feet - that would be an alteration (so basically the same answer). I get it, the company has their policies on how they make their purses, but why not be consistent in how the purses are made - give the consumer the option to have or not have any feet. I have 3 purses that are the exact same size, but different colors. 2 out of 3 have the feet. That's just odd to me. As a gesture of good customer service, they should have offered to let me purchase the feet by themselves & then I would take them to get put on the purse & spend the extra money just to ensure that I prolong the life of my purse. I LOVE my Harveys bag! I purchased the blue briefcase bag about five years ago. With my work travel I was going through work bags every year or two, and this one still looks like new. Recently the zipper broke and I contacted Harveys to see if they could help me get it repaired, not realizing they have an amazing warranty program. I sent the bag in and within a week it was returned to me with a new zipper, and it looks brand new. Harveys service and quality is above and beyond any other. I highly recommend Harveys! read more
