Service is def homey, && selection and variety of flowers is incredible for the space and location they have. Prices are very reasonable given seasonal flowers and your regular go to items. Friendly and helpful staff! I was in the search for million star and they were the only local wholesalers around me that had them, not even the flower district in LA could get them for me. The sales associate on the phone even gave me advice on how many bunches she thought I'd need for the design I was going for. Also, the other day my car battery died and they didn't hesitate on sending their staff out to help jump start my car. Visited this wholesale flower shop and had a great experience. Staff were welcoming and provided great customer service. I went in looking for calla lillies and the staff member was quick to walk me to where I could find them. Then was quick to inform me that if I didn't mind waiting a few minutes a fresh batch of flowers was on the way and staff member even made a quick call to confirm the ETA. The only hiccups I experienced was issues with their payment system which caused me to be double charged. It took a very long time at check out. The charge was reversed the next day. One of them said I'm not a flower guy, just work here. The other guy kept bumping up the price the previous guy had given us. Overall, they didn't care if I purchased or not and were impatient with any questions. I can see why someone would come here for roses but every flower I wanted was not in good shape, it was either wilted or broken or way overpriced! 5 peonies $30! I was in a crunch for a funeral and this was literally my only choice, had I been here two days prior, I would have ordered from Costco instead. My fiancé picked up flowers Saturday morning for our wedding Sunday. The day of the wedding, we took the flowers out and it was rotten. About 20% of the flowers weren't used since they smelled bad. My fiancé called today and informed the the staff on the rotten flowers. The rep said we should've called yesterday (sunday). My fiancé told her according to Yelp, they were closed yesterday. The rep said "no, we are open Sunday's". So....we are suppose to call even though your business states closed Sunday? And yesterday was our wedding day....are we suppose to return the flowers on our wedding day? The rep told us "we can't take returns after 24 hours" then hung up. The entire staff is helpful and friendly, which I feel is a lost art. If you have any questions or need floral tips or ideas, they are readily available to assist. I love going to businesses where the employees seem to enjoy their job. I believe it's reflective of the way they are treated by the company. This is how I feel every time I go to G & J and it makes me feel like my money is going to the right place! The cost of flowers in general has increased since covid but I feel that G & J has kept a steady, competitive price point without comprising the quality of the flowers. I've shopped around so I've experienced this to be true. Also, the in-house selection is plentiful, however, when I have unique orders I know I can rely on them to get the florals I need in time for my event (as long as I place my order in time). This was the first time I've ever bought flowers at a wholesale flower place and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I decided to come here vs go to Costco or Trader Joe's because I was planning a bridal shower and had to have enough flowers for a bouquet making activity for all our guests + decor for the table set up (pics attached!). I know I could have probably went to Costco or TJs but when I discovered this place, Leo (one of the workers here) was just SO extremely helpful, patient, understanding, good listener. He event sent me pictures and pricing of what was at the shop prior to me coming to help me get a better idea (I live in LA). I'm not one to know too much about flowers but he really helped educate me and have really solid recommendations based on what I was envisioning. Also! The prices are actually really great and can confidently say for the amount of flowers and greenery I got, beats going to any other places! I had a budget I was working with and Leo made the best recommendations working with what I got. My sister recommended this place she used them for my nieces wedding and the flowers are not only beautiful but economical. To enter the business, you have to go through the back , you can park in the front and just walk around. It is not a very large facility, more like a small warehouse, but they are pretty well stocked with lots of different flowers. I was looking for white roses and other white flowers and some greenery to add as a filler. The older gentleman that was there possibly the owner? Was super helpful and the prices were great. There was a younger guy who is very sweet and helped carry them all to my car and arrange them in my trunk, he even gave me a bucket water for free to keep the flowers fresh since I told him I had to make a couple other stops before I went home. The flowers stayed fresh and they were excellent quality. The arrangements came out exactly as I wanted them. I would definitely recommend this flower shop. read more
