Exterior wash was done nicely, only a few areas that could have been done better around the windows. The interior was poorly done. Did not vacuum areas near door opening as well did not wipe down around door locks, window controls, cup holders, certain parts of dashboard. The lounge is very run down, dirty floors. SO disappointed! I have been going to Harv's off and on for many years. Made special arrangements for a full car detail. $350.00 The day I picked up my car it looked pretty good. Slowly this has popped up. Since then I have been taking my car to Elephant Car Wash and have had a mobile car wash. Both say that this is wax that was sprayed on my car and left in the heat. You can clearly see the splash pattern. Harv's say this is oxidation but interesting enough it was not there before the detail and it has a distinct splash pattern. On top of this there was SO much armorall sprayed inside that it remained sticky and smelled industrial for months. There were other disappointing things that don't need further mention. Note: These splash patterns are all over the top on my car. Truck, roof and hood. 2nd note: Elephant car wash hand buffed my truck to show it is not oxidation and can be fixed with a lot of elbow grease. So disappointed in Harv's so will never return. read more

I went to Harv's and got a Super Car Wash. i've been there several times. There was hardly anybody there..me and two other people. The inside of the car looks ok but the outside looks terrible, they barely touched it. After I got home, I was taking groceries out of the car and noticed that the outside was still filthy. They didn't put on the tire dressing. They didn't clean the wheels. The back of my car and the back bumper were completely dirty. I gave them a very good tip and now I wish I could take it back. We've been coming to Harv's for many years and have usually been very happy with the results, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. When I took the rubber mats out at home to wash them, I noticed a significant amount of sand underneath them, which had clearly been missed during vacuuming. My husband arrived right at opening, but another vehicle was put in ahead of him, which was confusing. Some staff members were also arriving late, and the service felt rushed from the beginning. Unfortunately, the quality reflected that. The vehicle didn't appear to be thoroughly inspected or wiped down. The rubber mats hadn't been cleaned, there was still dirt around the window wells, and fingerprints were left on the black interior. I've been coming to this car wash for a good 25 years or more. It now costs $30 for a basic car wash. WTF. The wash quality isn't close to what it once was when it was half the price. I don't see myself going back. The employee said the customers visited another car wash and came here occasionally after mentioning the price increase. I'm bummed since this place has been a staple in PD. I live in the high desert now and would make the trip, doubtful I'll be doing that anymore. What a shame. Went there today. They were short staffed. I had to vacuum my own car. There were six cars behind me waiting some were waiting in the street. I have been there many times in the past. i Was told that they usually have nine guys but today they only had five because the owner does not want to hire more staff. So I guess I will be looking for a new car wash since it appears the owner does care if they get repeat business. read more

I have been going to Harv's Car Wash for 26 years. I remember when super car wash was $19.99 and they power washed your wheels and brushed the grill and windshield with soapy water. They also used air to get the water out of your side mirrors so that when you drove off the water didn't spray on your windows and down the sides the the car. Today I paid $37 for a luxury wash. There was nothing luxury about it. No prewash of my wheels before sending down the line. I really wonder if the so called "clear coat" is anything but water. My front wheels still have brake dust on them, my cup holder has crumbs in it, my dash still has dog slobber marks on it, my console is still as dirty as when I took it in. My navigation screen is still dirty. I questioned the manager today about my concerns about not prewashing the wheels and he said that is not part of the cleaning process and is done at the dry off station. I now have to clean the inside of my car and my wheels myself after spending $37 and a $3 tip. The convenient location to my home is not worth the expense and poor service. Go elsewhere or go on a day when Nacho the manager is there. He always makes sure my car is super clean when he is there. read more

I decided to pony up and pay the Big Bucks for a complete car wash and detail (full exterior wash & wax, full interior detailing, engine wipe down, undercarriage steaming). I was hesitant to book at first given their 3.5 star rating, but I decided to take my car into Harv's given the fact that my car was in need of a good detailed cleaning. Harv's did not disappoint and I give them 4.5 stars, but I'll round up. I've attached photos of my car so you can judge for yourself, and keep in mind that this review is for the car detailing service and not just the handwash. My car is seven years old and has about 52,000 miles on it. This being said I don't drive it too much, but do drive it between Los Angeles and Palm Desert as my partner and I live between the two cities. There is some wear and tear from driving on the freeway through sand storms but otherwise it's in good condition. My car had hard water marks from sprinklers and Harv's was able to buff out the water marks. They offer buffering or acid wash depending on how severe the stains are. call ahead and book an appointment time and drop off your car. I dropped off my car at 8am, and it was ready at 4:15. I'd come back sometime next year for another detail service. read more

I used to like Harv's so now after the rains I decided to treat myself to a nice wash. I chose 'basic' because I always keep my interior clean including the mats. For $23.99 you get an automatic wash and a quick wipe down. At my next stop I got out my cloth and finished the wipe down because there were water spots everywhere that of course attracted the dust from the road. Furthermore, I was dismayed to see my driver side mat was dirty and wet. I had to give it a thorough clean at home. Also, they used to black the tires but nope not anymore. I don't blame the workers, it's always management in the end that are not training or inspecting. Hope this helps them improve things, cause for $23.99 I am not happy. read more

Big time disappointed! I paid for the $39 detail called "the works." After they were finished with the detail I pointed out several spots on the hood of the car that weren't cleaned up. The guy, I think he's the manager, reluctantly scrubbed them off. When I pointed out another obvious spot on the side of the car that they missed, he looked at me and said that I only paid for a basic car wash. I guess that means they don't go over the car and see what they missed. I told him to give me a rag and I'll do it myself! I scrubbed numerous other spots off myself. Then I got to the inside of the car. The cup holder was filthy. I mean filthy! I'm disappointed that I didn't take a picture of the inside of the cup holder before I cleaned it up. Also, there were coffee stains a blind person could have seen, on my leather emergency brake. Thank God I had a $10 coupon which took the cost down to $29 otherwise I would be really pissed! I got the wash, wax, detail the inside. Wash and wax was mediocre. Not only did the inside look like it was NEVER done but I got a big surprise! The dark gray interior was totally covered in four inch long white dog hair! When I said something I was told I should have purchased a more expensive cleaning package. WHAT??!! New to the valley, a friend recommended Harv's for a car wash. They did a fantastic basic wash - left no water spots and interior was wiped professionally. I've since returned for an oil change since their price was very competitive and, it came with a free car wash. I visited for a full service wash, late one afternoon. The machine did a good job, but apparently the guys working were finished for the day. They did terrible vacuum and wipe, spending about three minutes, then ran to the side of the building to resume playing whatever game they were playing. There was dust on the dash.
