Very happy to find a touch less car wash in the valley! I needed to find a place to "knock the dust off" and both the drive thru touch less and self serve do a pretty good job! The self wash is a bit higher than others while drive thru has a few different price levels depending on your needs. Overall i am happy with the place. It's not close for me and in the mornings the line can spill out onto the frontage road, but it is still worth the stop when I venture out. read more

The wash is decent, the vacuum cost extra at $1.75 and takes quarters only and you better Hope your car is not dirty because it doesn't last long at all. Stopped here on our journey with no reservations. Go online and look for deals. Would have saved a few more bucks! Bring your bathing suits. They provide towels. They have like 8 or 9 pools there! It was very clean and comfortable beds, but if you don't like the 100% polyester sheets, bring your own. (I always do, those make me itch and sweat, lol! OMG! My car was quite dirty. It was the same as when I last took it to what I thought was "Grand Prix" by Costco. I went there because they had the "Managers Special" which gave two "Diamond" car washes for about $32 [as I recall.] The regular price was $22 or around there. [The second had to be used within 30 days or be forfeited.] But now, this second from the top wash was called "Winner's Circle" and was slightly cheaper at $20. There no longer was a two-wash special. I decided to take it. It used to include a hand dry, but not anymore. Their blow dryer worked "OK" but not "great." The wash did not remove all the dirt, especially on the rear of the trunk and the lower part of the body. The wheels were still dirty. As I drove away, I noticed it was now called "Raceway." I discovered the old Grand Prix website is no longer active. This car wash is under new ownership. So, I started looking for other car washes on Yelp. I wanted one with good reviews and low prices. Last year I tried "Quick Quack" and was less than satisfied. I wrote them off. I saw Palm Desert Car Wash listed with very high reviews. I was skeptical about how well it would work and wasn't expecting much from the blow drier. I'd never experienced one that was great. I chose the most expensive wash, the "Platinum" at $16. The automated lane is the first one on the right, the others are all the "do-it-yourself" washes. It did take a long time to get into the wash, even though there were only four cars ahead of me. But, WOW!!! All the dirt was gone There were only a few drops of water left after drying which quickly air dried. The wheels came clean! [If you want, you can get multiple purchase packages to save more money on washes.] I'm sold. They have me as a steady customer. read more

I arrived early morning with a car that had just been transported from Chicago and was terribly dirty. The owner happened to be at the cash box of the touchless car wash and put my car through the wash as an experiment to see how well it would clean. He provided me two complimentary ultimate washes just to see how clean it would get. After the first ultimate wash it was about 95%. So he offered to send it through a second time complimentary. I paid him $20 which he initially refused to to accept. He said he would give it to his employees. A very honorable person, not to mention generous, and confident in his washing system. Highly advise you use this touchless car wash using the ultimate selection. They also have several bays with the self spray that I may try next time too. read more

Palm Desert Car Wash This is my favorite car wash in the desert...or anywhere for that matter! 99.9% of the time I HAND WASH my car MYSELF because I am VERY particular but this is the one car wash I will avail myself of when the need arises. I use their Touchless Automatic Laser Wash. Is it perfect? No. Does the Laser Wash do a really good job for something that never actually touches the car? Yes. Spectacular! There's no horrible octopus-like contraption slapping the hell out of the paint and bodywork with long, thick, hanging strips of rubber the likes of which you find at Shell, Chevron and Mobil gas stations. Additionally, the cost of the Laser Wash is pretty inexpensive! A basic wash is $6. I go one level up for $8. The result is fast and affordable. I've also done the $10 option with the multi-wax bundle and it gives the paint a little bit of an extra pop. But lets face it, nothing replaces a clay bar + hand wax or ceramic treatment. read more

This place is awesome! I don't like going through other types of car washes that pull your car through because it makes me nervous and I always feel like they put the next car too close behind me. Plus potential scratches from everything touching your car. This was easy, cheap, fast, and good quality for the price. There is a little dust and water leftover after, but my car was very very dusty from living in Palm Springs and the recent fires. I hardly ever wash my car because I don't like any of the automatic places nearby. If this place was closer, I'd go multiple times a week and I'm sure it would look like new. Do not use the drive in car wash. It doesn't clean your car in the back if you have a slanted window or SUV. The employees don't care and don't do anything about it. My car is not clean after using this service so I just wasted $14.00. I have given it a few tries and it's a waste of money. Bad customer service too. No apologies, no refunds, no free car wash for next time, nothing. They don't care. Go somewhere else! read more

Recently bought a new car and not about to put a bunch of swirl marks on my baby so I'm working towards perfecting my touchless wash technique haha. LOVE the self-service car wash bays here! Went late at night at about 8:30 pm but it was well lit in the bays. $5 gets you 10 minutes to wash, soap, and dry the car. Honestly wasn't enough time so I had to put a little more money in... sort of annoying worrying about the timing so now that I have a better idea of how long I'll need, I'll probably put in $10 cash and not get interrupted next time. The power washer and dryer are both strong and so satisfying to use (inner child in me haha!). They also have industrial vacuums to clean the interior of the car which is amazing since I have 2 pugs that shed like crazy. It is pretty busy even late at night on a weekday. I got there at a good time because I didn't have to wait and was able to drive right in but shortly after I saw people lining up in their cars behind me. Overall though, a very affordable way to keep the car clean regularly. I live in Palm Springs and it's a bit of a drive to get out here just for a car wash but so worth it! TIP - Bring a few of your own clean microfiber towels for any light touch-ups as needed, your go-to tire shine, and any other detailing products you may typically use after a car wash for best results. :) read more

It's open 24/7 and super conveniently located right off 111 in the heart of Palm Desert. I've used all the services this car wash offers...vacuum, self-serve, automated bay...even the bill changer and product vending machines...and every experience has been top notch. The property is now always clean and well lit. Even during peak user times, the lines move quickly. Zero issues, no hassles, always great. It's the best car wash value in the valley. PD Car Wash is a great find. I am too lazy to wash my car myself, but I really like the contactless drive thru wash. The price is reasonable and the cheapest option (which I chose) did a great job in about 5 minutes. My car was very dirty when I brought it in, and after the wash I just did about a minute of touching up with a soft cloth and the car looked great.
