She diagnosed and a treatment plan was to give him a series of Adequan shots. I paid for 8 injections up front and then during this series of injections, there was a billing discrepancy. All over a the number of shots my dog received. I'm talking about one $67.35 shot! On my second to last time there, I went through it with the nice young ladies up front and thought we had it straitened out. Then, my next visit, the discrepancy came up again. They gave me a print out summary and it was all jacked up. Showing 2 shots given at one appointment, not showing another appointment and on and on. Then, the "Manger" (Hunter), came out with attitude (as he had in previous visits too). I feel like he went out of his way to make sure it was my mistake, not his (or the clinics), and have me corrected. I was upset and I asked them to refund me for the number of shots they believe I was owed. They refunded me for one less shot than I believe I had paid for. Then, they had the nerve to send me a certified letter saying they didn't want to do business with me!! LOL! As a customer/ patient, I think his persistence in saying I'm wrong and he's right about the billing is ridiculous! I'm the customer (it's not about the stupid $67). What's a shame is, it's not about the clinic and the majority of the staff, it's about one over zealous employee.

However, this past Monday we had to make a difficult decision to put our best friend to sleep as it was his time. As I write this I am emotional but yet so grateful for what Dr Chen did for us on Monday and the comfort she provided my entire family. I've never experienced doing this in my life but the way she was there for us and comforted not only me but my parents and brother is something i will always remember. Dr Chen, thank you so much for your words and comfort on one of the worst days of my life.

My daughter received a puppy before Christmas and we were getting vaccines done there through the puppy package. Yesterday, I encountered an issue where I only had so much money available and had rescheduled an appointment from a Friday (pay day) to a Wednesday due concerns about the weather. We discussed before coming that I only wanted the two vaccines and it would be $30. Once there and telling the tech that I just wanted the two, she proceeded to take the dog back for shots. When she came back she said she gave her 3. When I went to check out, I informed them that I talked to someone in advance (actually twice) and all I could do was the $30. I informed them I would pay the rest on Friday which was less than $20. I know that isn't much but I did not have it. A woman by the name of Rachel came out from the back in full attack mode saying she couldn't take the third vaccine out of the dog therefore I HAD to pay in full. I told her that I requested just the two and it was on them but would pay the rest on Friday. She then humiliated me in front of my daughter by telling me to be a better mom and call someone for the money. She threatened to call the police on me as well. I was standing there in tears because I was in such disbelief. She was the most condescending , hateful person I have ever encountered like that. I have posted this vet's info on so many pages to bring business and I am still in shock with how I was treated. This woman , Rachel, then said "Have a blessed day" in such a hateful tone. I turned and said please do not use Christianity to make up for how you just treated me. She then replied "Honey, I am not Christian." She called me honey twice BTW to invoke some sort of superiority. I was SHOCKED that not one person working there allowed her to continue. There was a woman there with her poor sick dog that paid for my visit after hearing what happened. I did go back in and pay the $30 I could afford to that woman's account because she had already left so I do hope they credited her. As a 50 yo standing there in tears being verbally insulted, I will NEVER step foot back in there and I am SHOCKED that any vet would allow their employees to treat anyone, let alone customers like that. I will be contacting Consumer Protection for the first time in my life and filing a report.

The staff is awesome and they are fair with what they charge, no crazy unexpected charges, they are quick to take you back and answer all questions. My 7yr old lab-mix has bad seasonal allergies. Dr. Metcalf recommended a few years ago to take her to the dermatology vet specialist. He was honest that the seasonal steroid shots were a band-aid and that her best bet would be to identify the root allergy. He was honest with pricing to expect and that it was similar to what I spent there over an entire season, but at the end of the day was better for her. Her best interest in mind, not $. Their staff knows me and my girls by name and always provide great service. They know my girl's quirks and anxiety issues and always are very patient with them. I've never had a bad experience with their office for any of my animals, I trust the vets and their staff completely. If you're looking for a trustworthy practice regardless of size, this is your office! If you're looking for big and aesthetically fancy over care, this isn't your office. I highly recommend them for the care of your pets!

**Since originally writing this review, my dog's condition has drastically deteriorated. I could…read morenot figure out a reason until I realized that I stopped his antibiotics, at the suggestion of Dr. Collins, even though he hadn't even finished the full course. The last time he had a UTI, he needed two rounds of antibiotics. My dog's pain is now equal to or greater than when I originally took him in and even with antibiotics and pain meds, I cannot seem to get him stabilized. I researched letting your pet go yesterday if that tells you where we are. I would NOT take my pet to see this vet. Maybe they have better vets within the office, but that's a risk you can take for yourself. I can't turn back time. And I very well might lose my dog. I would not recommend this clinic! My first visit went well. Unfortunately, after meeting with Dr Collins, my entire opinion changed. I took my 11 yr old labradoodle in for reoccurring UTIs (I have a urinalysis for each and every one confirming UTIs). With the agreement of his regular vet who I trust implicitly, I scheduled for an ultrasound with this clinic. The ultrasound was done with no remarkable findings. The tech suggested putting my dog on nightly antibiotics to hopefully stop the UTIs. Dr Collins talked to me over the phone and seemed helpful. He stated he'd like to see my dog to get a baseline since he'd only seen him during the ultrasound when he was supposedly sedated (something I seriously question now). I scheduled an appointment even though I'd already spent an excessive amount of money on this for no answers. When I met with him, he tried to manipulate me into doing what he wanted which as far as I can tell now was to spend more money. I specifically stated NUMEROUS times that I would not put my dog through surgery. According to Dr Collins, my dog's care has been mismanaged. He hasn't had UTIs. He has arthritic pain. And to be treated with the "best care" (see that play on emotions?), I should take him to an internal specialist who would likely want a bladder biopsy. (Aka surgery...exploratory surgery) His plan was to put my dog on gabapentin for the rest of his life to deal with this supposedly excessive pain that I'm not aware of! There was no plan for the UTIs. You know? What I went in for in the first place!!! Now comes the part that makes me really angry as "Dr Know it all" never said any of this. If my dog does in fact have bladder cancer, there's nothing that can be done. In fact, if it's in the middle of his bladder, he'd have reoccurring UTIs which would be treated with antibiotics. Yeah. So Dr Collins would have put my dog through needless, painful surgery to MAYBE find bladder cancer so we could then treat it with what the ultrasound tech said all along. Hmm. Forgot to mention that huh? Real convenient. Clearly my dog's care was not your utmost concern. I question your ethics.
