Me and my family of 5 arrived to eat and this place and it was empty and they sat us at a 4 top in the bar area with five people leaving no space for the fifth person and while trying to make it work by moving closer to the windows a women with purple/red hair came up to us and in a attitude said we couldn't sit there due to a reservation where there was no signs or visible showing of a reservation being established so in frustration we concluded we would be leaving from the "lack of space" she was stating they had and while leaving frustrated she proceeded to yell at us to "make a reservation" so I do not recommend coming to this establishment because of the lack of costumer service shown witch is unfortunate because me and my family have been long term customers and we're severely disappointed read more

First time going to Hasta La Pasta. They just reopened from Hurricane Harvey on Cypresswood. The service was excellent & the food was so tasty! We went for lunch & they had a wide selection of lunch specials. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti, Emma's Salad, Chicken Piccata , Chicken Marsala, Raviolis Rosa & Classic Combo: Lasagna & Fettuccini Alfredo. My husband and I have frequently visited Hasta La Pasta many times in the past and have always had a fairly pleasant experience. However, the most recent visit has saddened us from coming again. The management was very poor. The restaurant was adequately busy and the poor servers, busser, and host were running around. I noticed the manager sitting near the bar without any assistance to the employees on the other side of the restaurant. I am quite unsure of what her name was, however she had dark brown hair and tattoos on her arms. She finally began to walk around and check in, although it was once the restaurant was no longer busy. I do give props to the rest of the staff for their hard work in providing excellent service and making our experience great under the circumstances. I do wish to see a change in management in the future if we do plan to visit again. read more

This restaurant is a favorite place for my hubby and I to go for the occasional date night out, or to meet up with friends. I've even taken my girls there for a mother/daughter lunch. The seating arrangements are spacious and everything is beautiful. The hostesses are always so kind and I've appreciated each waiter and waitress. They do a great job making you feel welcome and comfortable. The menu is great for all ages. My kids love the pizza and pastas. I haven't met a dish I didn't love. The bread is so good! We were so happy to hear when they reopened after Hurricane Harvey. They worked hard to recover from that terrible storm. So we are grateful to see them back in business. I've served on a PTO board who has provided luncheons for teachers at different schools in the area. Hasta la Pasta has often and generously assisted us in doing so. Beyond disappointed! I went here for mothers day earlier this year and everything was amazing. Fast forward to last night for my birthday completely horrible. So we get there and they have out table set up so you already know its alot of ppl. About 13 to be exact. We got out first round of drinks, while waiting for the last 3 ppl to arive. 25 min later they did and they orderd drinks. Took the girl 25 min to come back with the drinks and so we could order. We finally order. Then she comes back over and tells me for my shrimp and scallops pasta, the scallops are 1.50 for 1. Its my birthday so i said fine add 5. When you order scallops you expect them to come out in the round and in 1 price, apparently not. All of mine were cut almost completely in half, barley hanging on my a thread of one side. And they were fishy and chewy. But after ordering the food it took 20min to get bread. 15 min in to it i go up to the host stand and ask her if my server could get alittle help because clearly she needs some. We had to ask severl times for refills that she never brought out. Even my 9 year old asked her 3 times for a drink THAT SHE NEVER GOT, untill were walking out the door. Which doesnt help much. My sister inlaw ordered a water NEVER EVERRRRRR did she come refill it. Then the best part, everyone else got there food and my brother and mother oder the same thing. It came with muscles shrimp and scallops. Apparently that coom has no idea what hes doing and left out the shrimp, how simple do u have to be!. O then get this she has the balls to put a 20%gratuity on all of our bills. Im sooooo sorryyy little girl at this point you should be happy if i leave 5$ period! Finally ive had enough i have the managet take off that stupid 20% and she comes out with a 5$ gift card.... like thats really gunna help my almost 100$ tab. Very disappointed food particles in my water and on my silverware. Pasta de haste was very bland had to add a lot of salt to add some sort of flavor. I'm shocked that a manager did not stop by the table for the silverware at the very least. Server was kind however. Unfortunately we won't be returning. I came here for the first time with my family and ordered the chicken marsala. I've had better at other places. I did not like the sweet taste of the sauce. It kind of tastes like it has a teriyaki flavor added to it. The customer service is horrible. The waitress said she was going to get our Togo boxes and ran off somewhere in the back talking then finally decided to head back to our table only to stop half way bc she forgot the Togo boxes. Staff is friendly and attentive. The food is great. They have most of the standard Italian dishes but then some unique dishes that will knock your taste buds out of your mouth. 4 stars only because of slow service. We were promptly seated in the bar but waited at least 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. Apology included excuse of large group in restaurant. We ordered ice teas and our food with Dante. Host came by offering drink service, waved him off. Tea and bread arrived shortly. Entrees seemed a little late coming out but waitress came by to check on us and again apologize for service. My husband loves their spaghetti and meatballs, says they are some of the best he's had. I had the chicken fettuccine. Chicken was perfectly cooked, nicely browned with good flavor. Pasta nicely cooked but I could have used a little more sauce. Monday-Friday lunch specials are a great value. This was a Saturday visit, we were charged for specials so we are happy. Note: we usually sit in the bar area which is very pleasant. I was leery of coming here after reading reviews complain about slow service - I'm pretty picky about my service, but honestly Hasta la Pasta checked all the right boxes during my trip Friday night. I came in with my party of five to celebrate a family occasion and Heaven, our server, was excellent. Sweet and gracious, she tolerated my family's adoration of the scrumptious dinner rolls & delectable butter without exasperation - we went through several bowls of rolls before we were ready for the main course. Honestly, I would take those rolls home with me if I could, they beat Olive Garden's breadsticks any day! I LOVE ravioli and order it wherever I possibly can. I did so here, and the tomato cream sauce it came with was absolutely delicious. I seriously just wanted to eat their rolls dipped in that sauce forever. The penne alfredo was pretty good too. I was looking forward to the death by chocolate dessert, but unfortunately they had run out by the time we were ready for dessert. No matter - another thing to try next time! The entire time we were there, Heaven was attentive. She refilled drinks several times, took our orders within five minutes of sitting down at our table, and brought the food out much faster than most restaurants. We were done with our meal in about an hour, all told! We have been here about 40 times over the past 10 years. I usually get the Hasta La Pasta-Beef. It definately has some different types of food than standard italian fare and is quite good. The bread that they bring is also good and comes with an olive oil/herb dip. My wife loves the little rolls. I have also taken the food to go. It is still good after a short drive home. We moved to Houston last year, and discovered this fine Italian restaurant before it was flooded by Harvey. They have recently re-opened, and we are super enthusiastic that they are available again. The food and service are unbeatable, and the prices are moderate. We take friends and family there, and everyone leaves with a good taste in their mouths (pardon the pun). My favorite is spaghetti with roasted mild Italian sausage. At lunch time, it is around $10, with rolls and either soup or salad. It is around $12 at dinner time. And their tomato basil soup is wonderful, my favorite. And I am not a "soup person" either. I have had Italian food in Italy and around the world. Good service but slow 30 minutes wait for our main course .2. No floor manager in site. 3. They had one waitress running up and down attending the whole restaurant while by the restroom there were 5 or 6 waiters/waitress standing in the corner instead of helping out. My friend & I were desperately craving for pasta. Our original place closes on Sundays, so yelping for nearby places, we came upon Hasta La Pasta. It's a cozy & sweet little place with great service & friendly faces. It was our first time here so we asked for the popular dishes. - Calamari (3/5): Decent. The batter fell off on most of the pieces so it wasn't as appetizing. It was pretty bland but the sauces made up for that. - Salmon Sicily (3/5): The pasta was cooked perfectly & seasoned well. The salmon was plain & a bit dry. Despite the fact that I was starving, I often found myself just picking at my dish rather than wolfing it down.. - Lasagna (2/5): HUGE portion which is a plus but the presentation was sloppy. The meat looked expired. The dish as a whole (as my friend described it) looked as though it's just been heated up in a microwave after being refrigerated for so long. Sigh.. Heads up foodies, don't miss this one! I love fish, so that is 99% of my protein. And, I am extremely fussy on quality. I hadn't been to Hasta La Pasta for awhile. So, at lunch today I ordered their Salmon Sicily. Are you kidding me!! It had to be at least 10oz., served on a bed of angel hair pasta with a butter( yes BUTTER) and lemon sauce with tons of capers. Fabulous fresh Caesar salad and warm yeast rolls=$13.00. Now I admit, I had a tad of their incredible Souverain Sauvignon Blanc (added to the $13 tab). And to top it off the GM Patrick Scott was kind enough to explain to me where they get their fish (remember, I'm high maintenance on my fish). We have been going here since the restaurant opened. I will say the food is always consistent. The atmosphere is great-nice cozy place for an evening meal. After reading some of the reviews I realize I am in the minority regarding the bread with the olive oil dip. I personally don't care for the bread so we always order the spinach dip with the toast and really that is the reason we go back. It's fantastic. I finally got to try this place after noticing the cute name a few times when a coworker suggested it for lunch. It was a nice spot for Italian food, especially if you like supporting local places and getting away from the usual Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill.
