Not the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, not the best either. I did find myself pretty disappointed as I've been looking forward to trying Dolce Niente for a while now. First, we made a reservation for 8:00. Once we walked in and told the hostesses they let us know a table would be ready in just a minute. We stood waiting at the front with no updated for 15 minutes while they sat and talked and scrolled through their phones. It was so frustrating we nearly walked out and honestly; we probably should have. It took a waiter noticing us that finally asked the hostesses if we were waiting on a table for them to get us seated. Our waiter was incredible. He did take great care of us and didn't mind when we had two more people join us unplanned. We did sit inside because it was a colder night. The inside of the restaurant is just not set up well in my opinion. When you're waiting at the front, you're basically on top of a table of diners. The tables are all very close to each other and it feels like it's a very tight space. I do believe that the patio is a better vibe for seating, but we didn't really get to check it out. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad but I also wasn't very impressed. We shared the mediterranean sampler. I ordered the chicken piccata while my husband had the sausage bianco pizza. It was just kind of average. It is always busy when we drive by, so it does seem to be a place that people love. It just wasn't for us and we likely won't be back, especially given how pricy it was for how average it is. read more

This as close to authentic Italian that I have eaten in TX. The food came out quickly and the portions are generous. Good happy hour specials on drinks. They have a large patio that seems to have both evaporative coolers and heaters, along with the wind blocking vinyl. Prices are little steep on certain things (steak and 'adding meat' to pasta). Servers were friendly and attentive. Another thing they can improve on is I have never eaten at an Italian restaurant that does provide bread and butter. To be fair, we (party of 5) had a good time celebrating my birthday. We even had an unexpected entertainment of bingo game on a Tuesday night. That was a blast! I didn't like the big group fee automatically charged to our bill. We started with 5 adults and a baby and ended up with only 4 and a baby, but still got charged an additional 18% towards the bill (they could've offered a smaller table , but no). Okay, as far as the food, I'm kinda of an Italian food snob because I swear Italian food is my "go to" when it comes to celebrating any special events, etc. It's reasonable but not the "mangia mangia" experience. We ordered the 2 margherita pizzas, chicken Marsala, & chicken fettuccini. All average tasting and a bit pricey for the portion given. It was incredibly rich. We also started with calamari. My husband asked for a side of marinara before trying the calamari. It did not need anything, I was mixed with peppers and olives. This is the absolutely best Italian restaurant in Texas. I live out of state and I will drive an hour and a half just to have dinner here. The owners are incredible. The chefs are great. The food is always fresh. Wow the pizzas and especially the crust are to die for using all Imported ingredients. The pasta and specifically the fettuccine Alfredo are alone worth the trip. If you asked me to go eat at an Italian restaurant in Spring, TX, I'd politely pass. I was feeling springy today, so we gave this place a shot. The Bruschetta was rock solid. Not in a good way. The bread was so hard it ripped the top of my mouth apart. Not a good way to start the meal. Didn't taste fresh to me. Almost like they made it first thing when they opened and it hardened like James. The Limone Caesar was doused in their Caesar sauce. The sauce was tasty but let's ease up. Almost was like eating a sauce salad. I would reel back the sauce overload. We also tried the Pig and Fig pizza, but replaced the swine with chicken. Unorthodox, yes. The dough was the star. Fresh, airy and not too chewy. Overall the pizza was decent. Also tried the Fettuccini Alfredo which they prepare table side. Heads up they do not serve it with any meat. It's literally pasta, butter and cheese. This actually hurt my stomach. The pasta was over cooked. I know they are trying to keep things simple, but overcooking pasta is a miss. The cannoli as a dessert was decent as well. It was kind of hard given it was probably sitting in a cooler or fridge. Last night was our first time to visit this beautiful, friendly, warm restaurant. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The service was amazing, the food was delicious. Everything was so fresh. The staff surprised my daughter by singing happy birthday to her in Italian (which she thought was so cool and classy) and hooked her up with a scrumptious cannoli. This restaurant was very nice. Their flatbread appetizer is different than other I've tried. There are a lot of spices, including fennel, so it's not for everyone. The pizza is very good, but also pretty messy- so be aware of that. We had the chicken parm and the fettuccine Alfredo. I love that they make everything fresh including their own noodles! And the fettuccine the server mixes together right in front of you, which is a nice touch. Staff is very friendly. The space is quite small and pretty tightly packed. In order to get out, you kind of have to have people move chairs in or turn your body different ways, so that the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Besides the right space issue, it's really great food and pretty reasonably priced for the amount of food and quality that you get. read more

First visit and we sat outdoors with our pups. The ambiance is very nice. It took awhile for our waitress to greet us, even longer to get our cokes out to us. From the time we ordered (flat bread and pizza) it took almost 40 minutes to get our flat bread and another 20 to get our pizza. We had to flag down our waitress to get a drink refill because she never came to check on us. The flat bread was very good. The pizza was good. Again we had to wait extremely long for our waitress to get our to go box and our ticket. Our ticket had an 18% gratuity charge so we had to find the waitress again to get that removed. We got takeout so this is purely based on just the food. My husband got chicken parm which he said was excellent. Huge pieces of chicken. I got the Alfredo which is my go to at any Italian place. I couldn't eat it. I'm not sure if it was bad or it's just how it's made but it tasted sour like it was made with spoiled milk. My husband tried it too and agreed it couldn't be eaten. Pride of ownership is evident in the care that these owners took in developing a restaurant concept that the whole family can enjoy. It's unique in that everything is made from scratch on location, (word has it that no one does this, not even fine dining in the Woodlands area). There is a beautifully modern Mediterranean vibe. It's sexy, but still welcoming to children and pets. Who can pull that off? Dolce Niente did. The food was excellent, service attentive, just the right sized portions, everything fresh, and moderately priced for the quality. Come on a date or with the entire family. When our family comes in town, they always ask to come here to eat. We have had a variety of food choices and all were excellent in taste and quantity. The chef on shift walks around to the tables and ask how everything is tasting. I feel this restaurant and staff would make your choice of meal right. On Tuesday thru Thursday, kids eat free. Going inside I see a bar, many tables, a stone oven, This place is filled to the brim with Italian energy! After about 7-11 minutes we got our Limone Caesar Salad- 9/10 After 20-28 minutes we got our margarita pizza and bolognese. Love this quaint little neighborhood spot! We are so lucky to have something so close with good quality food and ingredients, a nice wine selection and fun specialty drinks. We love to bring out of town guests and it never disappoints. We had the fettuccine, ziti with vodka sauce, pig and fig pizza and chicken piccata and shared all. It was delish!!! My friends took me here last night and this place is phenomenal. I lived in Europe for many years and my wife is Italian... this place is real Italian food. We ordered the caprese salad, calamari, pig & fig pizza, pepperoni pizza (with mushrooms and sausage added), chicken parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo, and a lemon ricotta cake for dessert. Every single dish was amazing, absolutely no complaints. The standouts were the fettuccine alfredo which was mixed table side, the chicken parmigiana, and the pig & fig pizza, but again, everything was phenomenal. Even the Parmesan shaker they brought out with the pizzas was fresh grated and not the crap filled with preservatives like the stuff you get anywhere else. The interesting and one of the authentic parts of this place is that it's kind of what we would call "family style". You order and it's brought out but put in the middle of the table for everyone to try and share. It fosters great conversation over the dishes and you get to try a bit of everything. We tried several of the drinks off the cocktail menu and they were all phenomenal as well. The blueberry lemontini was my favorite. I unfortunately am only visiting the area and I live 8 hrs away. Unfortunately after a few visits here I feel compelled to write a negative review, if you don't like reading, then here is the short version, go to Olive Garden instead if you're considering having Italain for dinner. Immediately upon walking in at 5:30 pm, it took the hostesses at the stand a good 5 minutes to decide where they were going to seat us, not because it was full, but because they just kept going back and forth. Then, we sit down and order one appetizer, which took 20 minutes to get to us... the bruschetta, which was the smallest portion I've ever seen, rock hard, and entirely too salty, very bad. While we're waiting another 10 minutes to order, we are staring at the most god awful screen behind the bar, flashing neon lights and a weird spinning feature that made my mom have to switch seats with me since she is migraine prone. The music they were playing as well was incredibly intense and kind of anxiety inducing, not a good environment at all. The entire time we practically had to beg for our waters to be refilled, which was awful because every dish; besides the pizzas, were so incredibly salty. The water also tasted like soap. The chicken piccata was so bad we had to send it back not even half eaten, they offered to remake it and did, but then they tried to charge us twice for it?? Thankfully they fixed that mistake after us having to do their job for them and point it out. They should've comped the dish sense they gave it to me to go and I didn't even get to sit down and enjoy my dinner at the restaurant. I'm giving one star and not zero because, the pizzas were ok, I'd go to crust instead though, and there are a handful of people there who are actually pleasant and know how to do their jobs. I think this place has more potential to be a pizza joint with a cool dive bar. But they need to decide on being a nice restaurant or a chill walk in place. if they're trying to be a nice restaurant, they need to actually start making food that matches the prices, and work on having a classier atmosphere, OR they could lower the prices, condense the menu and make the atmosphere more relaxed. Anyways, unprofessional, no attention to detail, no flavor aside from salt, and hardly a redeeming quality. I'm hoping changes are made or that we see them move out soon. p.s. my stomach hurts right now from the salt I've consumed tonight, don't go here. read more

I hate to give a new restaurant a bad review but after giving this place 3 tries it is well deserved. Three stars earned because the staff has been fantastic each time we go there, unfortunately that is where the experience ends. The food is very very bland. I ordered a chicken parmesan and there was virtually no sauce or cheese on the chicken parm. They use very thin spaghetti noodles that are clumped together like they have been sitting for a while. Olives are way too sour with no flavor Pizzas are also usually burned and lack flavor as well Im surprised the owner is a "Chef" because the food tastes like something I could eat from a microwavable dinner. I wish I could leave this place a good review but it seems the owner is not trying to provide quality food, especially for the high prices charged. read more

Love this place! It makes me so happy that I can get a glass of Caymus ( by the glass instead of bottle) and the Bolognese is absolute perfection! I love to sit by the fire pit outside for a cool vibe too. We went the very first week it opened, and since then they have taken my 5 yr old's suggestion on coloring sheets (making it extra kid friendly). The manager there is always extremely attentive and helpful, and my only hope is that they start bringing out the warm flatbread as they greet you. read more
