Very good, authentic, and fresh Italian food that is local to the Spring area. Nothing fancy, just good food and service. Highly recommend.

This little place is hidden. I would not have given it a try if not for the reviews. From the outside, it looks like a little hole in the wall but the inside is comfortable and clean. We got artichoke spinach dip, the tortellini with spicy Italian sausage added, the other pasta with sun-dried tomato and mushroom, and some pizzas for the kids. Everybody loved their food and the service was outstanding. The one thing that I feel like really brings the place down is the free bread. Not that they have it, because everybody likes that. But they appear to be Rhodes rolls served in a puddle of olive oil. I'm always excited for Italian bread and Thai was a disappointment, especially after how good the rest of the food was. I would also like to see mild Italian sausage as an option. The spicy was good but it was a sensitive stomach day for me and it was irritated by the spicy. I realize I could have not gotten sausage at all but I'd love a mild Italian option. The artichoke spinach dip was delicious and was served with the perfect amount of crusty bread. Even the little kids asked for more. The pastas were perfectly sauced and flavored. I didn't find them to be skimpy on sauce or toppings. A very nice balance of flavor. The shaved Asiago (or Parmesan?) was a lovely touch too. I love real cheese! I didn't personally try the pizza because I was too full from the pasta, but my husband and the kids loved it and it appeared perfectly cooked and house made. read more

I was really hoping to like this pizza place since it was closer to my house than my regular pizza joint that I normally regularly once a week. Every week , Let me start by saying . Im kinda of a pizza connoisseur lol coming from New York and eating at the top notch places in New York. You should at least come a little close. I want to start by saying what I ordered. I ordered a white pizza , their white pizza usually comes with spinach , Ricotta and chicken. I ordered "without the chicken" . I still paid $25 for the pizza .. that's regular price so you're telling me you're going to charge me for ADDING toppings on my pizza right but when I order a pizza and we remove toppings, you're still gonna charge me full price Wow wow wow!!!! The pizza was as thin as a sheet of looseleaf paper!!! The pizza was so salty and so thin I was literally shocked. when the girl handed me the pizza, it was light as a feather . I literally had to open it up in the car to make sure there was actually pizza inside ... My son who is 22 years old that we called the human garbage can , because he literally eats everything said this was the worst pizza he ever had in his life. Pizza was salty , thin and DRY .. so dry , and it's not because I left the pizza sitting there because i was late picking it up lol I got there before the pizza was done. I was told they needed four more minutes to cook it. so it came out of the oven dry and salty , The only reason why I am giving it two stars is because the top part of crust had a nice crunch so if you wanna pay $25 for nice crunch crust go right ahead.... It was so cute inside for Valentine's day and if you plan on going next Vday or special night out then reservations are encouraged. We were lucky enough to get a small table and had a great time. From our server to my husband's lasagna to my daughter's pizza it was delicious. Wow, this place surprised me. From the reviews I expected for it to be pretty good but I was genuinely surprised at the food. The bread that came out at the beginning wasn't bad, it was honestly the lowest part of the meal for me. Grated Parmesan on top of five pieces of bread sitting in olive oil. Pretty good, but nothing to miss when I leave. After that we got our Spinach Artichoke Dip, and the thin slices of bread were perfectly crunchy, the dip itself was a little thinner than I expected but the flavor was really good. It came with shaved cheese, I assume Asiago, and it went well with the app. My main was the Pasta Bocaiola, which was mushrooms and pancetta and sun dried tomatoes in a cream sauce over spaghetti. I added spicy Italian sausage to it and, let me tell you, this hit the spot. I'll think about this dish for a long time, the flavors went so well together. The sausage was actually spicier than I expected, which works for me because I love anything spicy. My wife got the Poblano Tortellini, adding sausage as well. The flavor was really good, I don't think I've ever considered adding poblano anything to Italian. But it worked well. She didn't like it as much, I think, and the sausage worked well to break up the monotony of the dish, as it's just tortellini and sauce. Without it I might opt for a different entree. My kids got the pizza. Oldest got the margarita, two youngest got mushroom/pineapple and mushroom/olive. I had to try a bite, as while we were waiting I could see the lady in the back twirling the dough. So maybe this place is the real deal. And oh man, it was good. I would be very happy to come back and get a nice pizza from here, because this is what real Italian pizza is about. Not that fast food squishy stuff, this is fire kissed goodness made from the heart. The waitress was helpful, kind and attentive. The music was cliche but, honestly, I would be offended if I went to an Italian place and I DIDN'T hear it. Decor was minimal, but we got there right when they opened at 4:30 so it didn't have that low light ambience that I assume this place could do well. I'll come back, and I can't wait. read more

My friends and I have enjoyed this restaurant for years both food and service however on Thursday one friend and I ate there and both ordered dishes we had previously enjoyed and it was a disaster!! The shrimp with pasta was not as previous served and the house salad appeared to be a day old! WE SPOKE to the other and wondered if a new chef was working a shift and she said the regular chef was present. THE SHRIMP tasted off and wasn't tasty and the spaghetti was drowned in butter and garlic not anywhere near what we had for years! after a few bites we had her box it up and we paid and tipped as usual! The owner didn't seem that concerned but offered to remake the dish if necessary. We declined and left but my group does not plan to go back! read more

My wife suggested Italian for dinner, so we decided to try Italian Cafe, a charming little restaurant tucked into a strip mall. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, while I went with the Chicken Piccata and a side of meatballs and sausage to sample. We enjoyed our meals and appreciated the restaurant's cozy, intimate atmosphere. For a Tuesday night, it wasn't too busy. It has more of a date-night feel compared to the larger, busier Italian restaurants in the area. Our waitress was highly attentive. Pricing is just on the other side of the"high", meaning that entrees hover around $20, mixed drinks are ~ $12, bottled sodas are $3.50. Our meal was $63 pre-tip. We'll be back here. read more

I rarely write negative reviews- maybe only once or twice every. Sadly, I do feel that when a Restaurant has lost their way, the Patrons need to be made aware. I'll be gentle and trust that you, the Reader, are able to read between the lines. The meatballs were OK- the sauce was not made there, but as the waitress had said, it was "pretty good". The spinach stuffed shells were OK...but I paid $5 for adding Italian sausage only to get 5 slim cut pieces of sausage? NOT worth it. The Chicken Parm was small, phelgmatic and bland- sorry. Some of the other pastas looked pretty good- I don't know, I didn't order them. Here's (for me) the Kicker: The Veal... I literally COULD NOT BELIEVE they served this hamburger steak thing and called it "Veal". HORRIBLE. HORRIFC. TERRIBLE. TOUGH. STRINGY. LOW-GRADE. PATHETIC. AND it was tasteless. ALL of it. The sauce. EVERYTHING. I strongly dislike writing anything negative- I just won't do it...but I read glowing recent reviews that were QUITE misleading and I felt I needed to, sadly, balance out the score- I was excited to try out this place. I'm a nice guy (I tipped the waitress 40%, if I recall), but this was really a poor meal for over $100 for 2 people. The Owner seemed nice. Good guy. The wait staff as well. We came here for my sisters birthday on a Friday night, 7pm with a reservation for 6. Happy we booked the reservation because it was packed! The service was very kind and quick. My sweet tea was good, on the sweeter side. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was really good! It tasted really fresh. They let us bring our own cake and candles and got us some extra plates for the cake which was considerate. There's only 1 restroom for women so I had to wait a little, but not a huge issue. I love that it looks kind of like a hole in the wall but the inside is so nice and has a good ambiance. Will eat here again! read more

My wife loves the spinach dip. I've had the pizza before and it's really excellent. Recommended.

We ordered a glass of wine, a beer, a caprese salad, a caesar salad, Pasta Alla Norma and Lasagna. All were excellent....except the lasagna. The pasta was way too al dente. Add in all the cheese and it was a chewing nightmare. This is just my non-preference with a learned lesson. The rolls that came with dinner were awesome...sorta making up for the lasagna. read more

We have been eating here for years and it's awesome. Great quality and good sized, fresh portions when you EAT THERE. However; lately we feel when getting it TO GO the portions are much smaller for the same cost. The bread served in the restaurant gets hard as a rock very quick when getting Togo. We understand that all prices have gone up and no issue with them rating the price and reducing portion, but come on, close to $100+ for party of three, no alcohol, just water, but the food quality was so bad. We could have gone to Olive Garden and get better consistency. 3 pastas and an appetizer - the piccata chicken was not edible, beyond salty and disgusting. Chicken parm barely had any sauce. We found this place by accident while in the area. Reviews and photos were great so we decided to give it a try. The place is located at a shopping center and is also very small. It wasn't packed when we arrived but I did notice a steady flow of people and pick ups. Service was efficient and waitress was very friendly and communicative. The hostess seating is, not so much. Guys! Why eat at the chain restaurants when you have places like this one? The food was fresh, tasty, well presented. Prices were reasonable. I decided to try something new and went for the chicken parmigiana. That chicken was tasty and moist. I could've eaten the chicken alone and being content. The rest of my family had great reviews for the pizza they ordered. My only thumbs down was the garlic bread. It lacked salt and was pretty bland. This was my family's first time visiting this lovely little restaurant. We had heard about it from a family friend, and it did not disappoint!! This is my favorite Italian place in Houston. They have gluten free pasta available and it satisfies my craving for Alfredo every time! Food is good prices are reasonable! I personally won't be back because of the experience I had but doesn't mean the food wasn't good! I had the lasagna and I barely ate any so they pack up your food in the back. I was unaware that I had no meat sauce until got home! My partner had the chicken Marsala and she didn't have any sauce! No one wants to eat dry food so I called them spoke to a manager who was really nice and advised of the issue and how I was 40 mins away. He asked me how can he make it right! I advised that I needed meat sauce and Marsala to be replaced with extra sauce he said no problem. I got there and I was charged for the Marsala that I thought would be comped due to me having to drive 40 mins back there and then home! But never the left I didn't even have any energy to dispute it I was tired and wanted to get home it was late! Fast forward to the following day I just have marina sauce but no meat! I wanted this place to be as good as the Yelp Reviews. I have been trying to go to this place for several years since pre-Covid. We went on a weeknight and there was no wait. It is in a strip center but the inside is decorated nice. The staff was sweet and our particular waitress was trying hard but was not very experienced. Although place only had one other couple there, she sat us in the corner of the room behind a partition which sort of started the night off a little. They have limited beer and wine but the cab by the glass was good we were served two warmed biscuits with olive oil drizzled. It had ok flavor but was sort of strange at an Italian place. We still tried to compliment the exoerience so far waiting for some of the special tastes that were mentioned in Yelp. Trying to eat healthier I ordered the salmon with a side salad. They really couldn't offer any steaming of veggies rather than the sautéing so the lack of flexibility for healthier options was a real turn off for me. My husband ordered a chicken Milano and penne dish ( only four pasta options to choose from) and the sauce was flavorful but the chicken itself lacked seasoning which made the dish flat. My salmon was over cooked and probably was the most "fishy" salmon I've ever had. I was starving so everything was edible but tasted like what I could have made at home not being a great chef myself. We decided to take a pizza home to salvage the lackluster experience so we ordered the Italiamissimo Pizza and asked for it to stay uncut to prevent it from being soggy when we made it home. The crust has a nice flavor and it was well-garnished with ingredients but the pizza itself was average. While I hate to do bad reviews I want those serious Yelpers who love authentic Italian food to be spared from trying it. You are better off going to Adriatic Cafe, Campioni or Carrabas. I wish the restaurant well but I would rate this place somewhere you go if you live close by and are just looking for a place to eat. Nothing special. read more
