This is a great place! Their food is great. The ambiance is great for a nice date night. George is very nice and he has good recommendations for his wine selection. My husband and I recommend this sweet family owned business to anyone looking for good italian food!

What a great place to have dinner. Moved into the Highlands almost a year now and finally decided to eat here. The food was amazing and the prices are very reasonable. Gotta say 99.9% better food than at Highland Pines bar and Grill.

Food was okay just not as good as I've had at other places. People there were very friendly just wish the food was better.

Service was good but we were also the only people in the place. We had a groupon coupon so decided to try the place. We ordered the artichoke spinach dip which was good. The main course was alright. I mean it's good food but nothing that would make me want to come back again..

Loved the ambiance of the place, very beautiful. Was very disappointed in the Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine.

Food Just ok, very polite service. I loved the ambiance. The fried mozzarella got great reviews online but I found them very disappointing.

First time at this local Italian restaurant. A great find, exactly what I look for in a local restaurant. Will become a regular.

We started our meal off with some fabulous cocktails but the waitress who said she was in training brought our drinks without using a tray and her fingers were all over my martini glass and my husband's drink near the rim where we were gonna drink out of! She was trying very hard to keep her hand steady and I thought for sure it might spill it. I wiped the glass off but still...Gross! That's what the stem is for! Straw please! Why was she not being monitored if she was still in training or at least properly trained? Do I fully blame her...no. Then she picked up our leftovers to box up and she piled up the dishes on the plate of food we were to take home! I almost lost it! Does she lack some common sense? Yes! Who piles dishes on top of my food when I'm supposed to eat it later? WTF? I was afraid to eat my leftovers after this debacle. Where did she get her food card? Having worked in hospitality for many years I gotta say train your wait staff properly and keep a shadow with them until they're fully trained to serve and then guess what? Some people are just not cut for white table cloth service. After spending over $150 here I was very disappointed. I hope they fix this mess. Our visit was unacceptable.

Come to find out Marsala's also has a location in Huffman, but they are not related to my other fav spot. Inside, the restaurant is actually small, I was expecting it to be much larger. They do bring you their garlic knots right at the beginning of the meal, but they did not look or taste much like my other fav Italian place in NE Houston. The bread at Marsala's was dry and crusty (the other place has soft and pillowy bread) and there was no drippings or garlic butter resting at the bottom of the bowl, so I just ate a little of the interior of the knot itself. I ended up choosing a lighter dish, shrimp scampi, since I was still full from lunch and my dining companion chose the chicken penne. I'm not sure whether the chef was out sick or what happened exactly, but both dishes came out from the kitchen really bland. There was no salt or seasoning to the food. The pasta also didn't seem like the water was salted during cooking. We mentioned this issue to our server, who then told the manager. They were really apologetic and even comped our entrees even though that wasn't our original intention. I just wanted to know what happened and why there was no seasoning at all in the food. We left and of course didn't bother to order dessert. In summary, the service was really good, I will give them that much, but the food was barely edible. I'm just not sure I would even come back to try other dishes since these two we ordered just could have been so much better.

I felt overall the place was small and the service was relatively slow in comparison to the amount of people there. Everything just seemed to take a little while. The bread was HUGE and a great part of the meal. Easily one roll was 2-3 normal ones and tasted great. Piccata is my judgement dish of choice when visiting a new Italian place and I found this one lacking a bit. The tomatoes and artichokes were a strange choice, the veal was breaded like Parmesan and the breading was constantly falling off, and overall the sauce was relatively flavorless. It wasn't a gross dish, but I felt it didn't truly represent piccata. We don't regret coming here, and of course are only tourists, but I personally might not come here again.

We came here a day before Mother's Day when they opened, we were also celebrating ny dad's 79th birthday. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The restaurant had some dim lit areas for a chill vibe. There were booths, tables, and a small bar in the back corner. The sodas were delicious and my sister really enjoyed her Arnold Palmer. Everyone ordered a different array of plates, but before our meals came out they had complimentary garlic twist rolls that were addictive. We must have had around 3 refills on both baskets (and they packed some up in foil for each to go box). I myself had the chicken carbonera, and my husband the shrimp Alfredo. He used to work at Olive Garden for a number of years and could tell that this pasta was authentic (compared to Olive Garden's pasta). He wished his plate had a bit more shrimp in it, but other than that, no complaints. Great sauces on both our dishes. My dad was surprised with a free tiramasu slice that was airy, sweet, but not overly sweet, we each took a bite. We'll definitely be going back again!
