Okay, two stars. Let me walk you through my experience, and my two stars will make sense. First time at Hast La Pasta, I walk in the door. The décor is nice, the ambiance is friendly. The hostesses immediately looked up at me, smiled, and asked if they could help me. My party was already there, so I politely declined. The hostesses were perfect. I sit down and join my party. Looking around, I see about five servers on, the busser who looked hard at work, and about 9 tables that I could see. That was at 1220pm. It's a Sunday, and I know that right after church it can and will get busy. About 4 minutes after I sit down, my server walks up and asks for my drink order, and if I wanted to order food since the rest of my party had already ordered. My food, Fettuccini Alfredo, had been placed prior to my arrival, but I needed to order a pizza for my daughter. She asks me if I want soup or salad, so I order a ceaser. Fifteen minutes go by, and neither me nor my daughter have gotten our drinks, but the rest of the table had gotten their salads and soups. It got to the point where I asked the server for my drinks a second time, and she said "yeah they're coming". I ended up flagging down the busser for my drinks. Finally the server comes out with my drinks AND my salad, and before I could make space for the salad, my server literally SET MY SALAD ON TOP OF MY PHONE! By this point, I am annoyed. When my food finally does show up, it has chicken in it, when I know for fact that my sister would have ordered it correctly without chicken as I wouldn't eat it, nor would I want to pay for food I won't eat. Tired of the slow service, I pushed the chicken aside and ate my pasta. I got one refill and it took forever too, sitting with an empty glass. Another server had finally walked up to my table, noticed another person at my party had an empty glass and said: "I've walked by your empty glass four times now. Can I get you a refill?" I've been in the industry for 10+ years, and I know that sometimes you just can't get things right. But based on her rookie mistakes, like setting a dish on my phone instead of the table, indicates to me that the problem is in your service training. The food was fine, the building itself was fine, but maybe you need to focus more in your servers and make sure they're up to par, familiar with the concept of teamwork, and not walking out of the kitchen with one creamer in her hand and no drinks. Consolidation, much? Also, don't ever set a plate on my personal property. read more

Horrible food. Mussels, pasta and stuffed mushrooms came out cold. Stuffed mushrooms were covered in a thick layer of hard cheese. Won't be back. Very disappointed read more

I always wanted to try this place. Thursday evening 7p we were denied seating in the so called cellar. It looked cozy and there were only 4-5 tables in the resurant being used. Didn't understand why... disappointed. I ordered the chicken picatta the chicken part was good but the pasta was tasteless and overdone. REALLY? a pasta place and you can't even fix fresh angel hair pasta? It takes 5 minutes. Don't think we will be going back. Too many really good Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. I've never been inside the restaurant but have placed many orders via Door Dash. We typically get the lasagna and Caesar salad which is always on point!! Everything is hot when delivered and extremely delicious. It's our go that place when we crave for Italian food!! read more

I have gave this restaurant more than one chance, and I just don't care for it. The food is not bad, but nothing to rave about. The last time I went was for a late lunch during the week. The food is a solid 5, but sadly the service is a 2.5 at best. We started with Toasted Ravioli with Marinara. We had to wait a while to eat it after it was served though because we had no silverware and a passing waiter had to "find some". The ravioli were nice and crisp and full of very flavorful cheese filling. The Marinara however was the star! My husband stated it best when he said he could eat it alone with a big spoon. :) I chose the Tomato Basil Soup which was slightly sweet but chock full of yummy flavor. My husband chose the lasagna and was very pleased. It was tall, loosely layered cheese and well seasoned beef with the same tangy, excellent marina sauce. Empty glasses went unnoticed, even when something else was delivered to the table. However when we looked close to finishing the waiter was quick to ask if we were ready for the check. No upsells, suggestions, dessert offers. Unusual for a restaurant as nice as this. Forgot to mention the credit card machine was down and the pizza oven (pizza was our first choice) was broken. I had a server named Joe and he was great. He was very attentive. Also since I used to work as a waiter I look for specific things and he met all of my requirments as far as service goes. The food was good and service was good. Prices were pretty good especially for lunch. read more

We ate here tonight for Valentines day. The menu was limited to one page. Very few choices. The chicken alfredo was awful. It literally tasted like a lean cuisine microwave meal. Would not recommend. We will not be back! read more

Very good, as far as Italian goes. I think the prices were a little higher than they ought to have been, but it was refreshingly different from the other mainstream Italian chains. The calamari appetizer is good, and I really liked the signature Hasta pasta dish--just the right amount of kick in the spice. I was a bit disappointed in the rolls. Service was great. read more

I have lost track of how many times I have had lunch here. Specials always good and usually around $8-9. Meals come with bread and garlic dipping oil, small salads a few bucks extra. Great atmosphere and always good food. Its very close to my office so we dine here frequently, no complaints. read more

So this place is a special treat to go since it's far from where I live. The pizza is great! The bread is unique because it's little and they give you salted butter and oil. The calamari I had was great it comes with a marinara sauce and chipotle aioli sauce that you'll want to dip everything in! Love this place and I will continue to come back! read more

Hasta La Pasta is just wonderful. Both business lunches and dinner with my family and friends finds me there very often. The food is delicious and the service is terrific. Just last night my family and I were there before a show at Cypress Creek FACE and had a great dinner with the best service by our server, Jozette. Crystal, the manager, came by to check that everything was going well even though the place was packed. In fact, they didn't miss a beat. read more

This place is by far the best Italian food in Houston . The bruschetta and spinach dip is amazing as well as everything else on the menu. Service and atmosphere is great and they have reasonable prices. The only thing I would change is for Christmas office party we reserved a room and the manager on duty called me out of the room twice while we were having our party and wanted to show me the bill and pay. I think that's very rude and they should wait until the party is over. read more

Hasta La Pasta, the title was intriguing and made me wanna try it! Because a world filled with pasta is always a good world to me. But, stepping into this wasn't what i was expecting. The place is good food it's tasty I give it a 4 because my fettuccine Alfredo only had 3 relatively small pieces of chicken.

Hasta la Pasta is a nice Italian restaurant with a quiet environment and good food. We order the to go deal of feed four for $40 and it's a ton of food. The service is consistently good and the servers are nice. Their Caesar dressing is one of the best I've ever had in my life. This is yet another place that I wish I could start to like. The food is pretty darned mediocre at the very best. The service, well let's just say it is deplorable! Every single time I have gone, the waiter forgets something that my my daughter or I ordered. If I was in a party of 10, I think I might cut some slack. But when there are on average, one appetizer and two entrees, I think it is rather difficult to forget what goes to the table. (especially when there seem to be about 6 tables being serviced) The waitstaff seems to be all hired from the local high schools. And, they seem to have the same poor attitude that kids seem to have. "Oh! I forgot about the salad! I'll go get it for you . . . " (this is about 1/2 way into the entree) After I informed the manager as to what happened, the response was "Oh sorry about that!" Definitely not the best place to go out for the 2 hours on Wednesday . . . . They do have waiter service. But, that is only if you consider giving your order to somebody, and having to ask/get everything else you need for your meal. Yet another casualty of the area! read more

I had the opportunity to visit this place with my parents. I must say that it's one of the best Italian food restaurants I've tried in my life. We were going to order the Pork Chop Rapalla but they we're out, hence the 4-star grade but everything we ended up having was delicious. We ordered three different plates: Cannelloni Pepe, Chicken Verona, and Shrimp Scampi. All three were excellent, specially the Cannelloni Pepe. The only thing they could improve is the bread as appetizer, there was nothing special about it and I think they could do something a little bit more elaborate as cheap to make as this one. read more

I have to say, I'm quite impressed. I had a friend take me here for dinner, and though I've written a couple of great reviews, I'm not always easy to please. I have high expectations for customer service and for friendly service. I also want good food. Our server, Lyla, was AMAZING - She had the perfect combination of there, but not all in your face, constantly asking if you're OK (like some of those places where I just want to tell them I'd be alot better without you constantly interrupting me). I think she asked 2 or 3 times during our meal, which was just right. She was very friendly and shared just enough about herself to be likable, but not like everything was all about her. My friend had our meal planned before we arrived, so I didn't even really look at the menu, but I didn't really need to. Their rolls are pretty good, though a little heavy for pre-meal rolls. The garlic/olive oil mixture they deliver with them is quite potent, very good for those of us that love garlic. Cesar Salad (not much room for error there, though I will say the lettuce was cut, not torn, which is pretty common in Cesars, so no harm, no foul) Then there was the Pizza. It was PICTURE PERFECT - OMG when she brought it to the table, I was amazed at how beautiful it was, like it was the one they made to take pictures of for their advertising. I mean it looked perfect......and the taste left nothing to be desired. Excellent. All in all, I'd give 4.75/5 if I could, just because the rolls are a bit heavy, and they didn't take time to tear the lettuce), but I have to round up, so 5 stars it is. read more

This place is my favorite Italian restaurant! The food is always delicious, the service has always been with a smile, and the price is reasonable. I love this place because not only do you get all of what I just wrote above, but because it's beautifully decorated as well. I like that they have pocket doors in this restaurant because if you decide to have a very large party or maybe some kind of reception it makes it more private or intimate. It's a family friendly restaurant, I've seen small children and yet it would still he great for a romantic little date (if you ask to be seated away from loud kids lol). Enjoy your meal! read more

Had my birthday party here on Sunday, March 12. Our server, Hussein was on point. Very attentive without being over bearing. 21 people in a room and he was in and out with little to no effort. Crystal helped in the beginning and set me up with an amazing carafe of Mimosas. Rodney, the GM, helped me set up this event and it went off without a hitch. We ordered from DoorDash and had it delivered. The food quality was excellent, the portions were big, and the food was out quickly on a Saturday afternoon. The only disappointment was I read the reviews and pictures before and was going to order tiramisu and behold it was not an option on DoorDash...I guess I will just have to come visit the restaurant to see if it's as good as it looks in the pictures! read more

My sister and I stopped in here for early dinner and we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the portions were substantial, and the low prices were surprising. The spinach and artichoke dip was the best I have ever eaten anywhere. I ordered mushroom stuffed ravioli and continue to crave it from time to time, so I have eaten at Hasta la Pasta twice now. The employees at Hasta la Pasta make the already great experience even better. Everyone is professional and gives that welcome feeling that I as a customer appreciate. I don't eat there often becuase I'm itlaian and I love to cook. But the food there is one of only two italians restuarants that I will go out to eat. The other is Maggiano's but thats all the way in the Gallaria. Since they have opened I've tried but of the menu and have never been disappointed. I do however miss the old dinner rolls. read more

The seats we were asked to sit on were torn and old. The service while ok in no way made up for the food. I've been here about 5-6 times now during lunch only. I've always had really good service....a couple of EXCELLENT service experiences as well. The food has always been good too. I like the "perfect portion" for lunch. Nothing bad to review at all - so far. I didn't give a 5 star review because I rate the stars from terrible - excellent. 4 stars (for me) being "good" which they are...but not quite excellent.
