Coffee sticks, crazy colored lipstick that becomes red/pink shades, manuka drops, popcorn. Lipstick stayed on even though I ate everything.

The storefront appears closed, but the sign says they're open. You will be greeted by two tiny dogs at the door and the kind shopkeeper comes to grant you entry. At first, it looks like a bunch of knickknacks and novelties. Then you'll see Coach, Kate Spade, LeSportSac, Kipling, jewelry, Japanese cosmetics, and other more luxurious items further inside. The shopkeeper is very friendly and seemed ecstatic to have a customer she could talk to in Japanese and broken English. (Because of the pandemic, I figured times are hard for the elderly...and so why not support a small business?) I bought lemon manuka honey drops, "magical lips" lipstick/lipstain, almond brittle popcorn, and some neat coffee sticks that Whoopi Goldberg raved about back in the day. Everything is dangerously delicious! This Magical Lips stuff is life-changing! It lasts nearly all day and doesn't rub off from wearing a mask just like the shopkeeper said! I had to return and buy more to give to friends! I want to try the other things she has for sale since I'm already having a good experience with her products. Unfortunately, the two adorable little pups at the door are not for sale.

I keep coming back to this place to get Paso Almonds which is my favorite sweets made in California. I can't stop eating this Almond Brittle!! I bought this as a souvenir for my family and friends too.

If you're looking for a fun experience with family, or friends, or even date night, I highly…read morerecommend Chamu because of its excellent customer service and very fun variety of products and charms. There is a huge assortment of large and small charms to choose from, and many different colors of glue for your creative purposes. Above all, the customer service here stand out from the rest because the business is owned by a small family and is very customer oriented. The owner and the other shop staff were all very very kind, so special thank you to both him and the young man who went out of their way to make our experience very fun and seamless today. When we walked in after coming from next-door at Clawcade, I didn't realize Chamu was new but I'm very happy we had our first charm experience here rather than at other charms stores across Los Angeles. I love supporting small business and the Family running. This shop's family was so kind and attentive, going out of their way to help provide additional cute options of charms and teach us the best way to apply the glue. Because of this, no other charm store can compare and I highly recommend Chamu for any Yelpers looking for a fun charms experience! Also their assortment of charms were super cute. There were all sorts of Disney characters, hello Kitty, whimsical, dessert, glitter, and other types and styles for every type of person out there. There was even a box full of medical themed charms which I felt was pretty interesting. I personally loved their little vegetable themed charms. With Mother's Day coming up, I thought it'd be super cute to make a special phone case for my mom, and a huge thank you to the kind folks at Chamu for a wonderful fun experience! Expect to pay ~50$ for a flexible phone case but the experience is so fun and priceless! You get to pick 12 large charms, and unlimited small charms, which are all really cute, as well as up to 2 colors of glue. Thanks Chamu for an excellent time!

Richard and Carol know more about Gardena than most history books. Half the fun is hunting through the endless collection of vintage treasures, and the other half is chatting with them. Every shelf has something nostalgic, unexpected, or wonderfully random. I spotted old Duncan yo-yos, Mickey Mouse collectibles, vintage signs, John Wayne toilet paper, and about a hundred other things I've already forgotten. They even put water out for our dog, which instantly made us feel welcome. If you're grabbing coffee nearby, stop in afterward. Just don't expect to leave quickly. Come for the vintage finds, stay for the stories, and leave wondering whether you should've bought that one thing you'll be thinking about all week.

They truly have a little bit of everything, all at very reasonable prices. It's cash only, but there's an ATM nearby. If you enjoy curated collectibles, antiques, trinkets, and unique finds, I highly recommend Loonies Bin. Beyond their amazing selection, Carol and her husband are genuinely kind people. They do an incredible job of making everyone feel like family. I could easily spend hours talking with Carol about her adventures and the wealth of knowledge she has about the store and its treasures. This is truly a special business run by two caring people who make the shop feel warm, welcoming, and alive. I'm already looking forward to coming back!
