Was so excited to go here after finding it on Yelp only to walk up and see that we can't even shop inside. It's like out of a warehouse with a vertical metal door, and you have to ask if they have something and they bring it out to you. Definitely not a fun way to shop so I left )-: I really hope they make it a more "normal" shop at some point like it used to be (apparently). I've been coming here for years! Before Covid I'd come in and spend time walking around looking at the huge collection of crystals they had and really feeling what felt right for me. Today, when I arrived we were told we could only shop from the loading dock.... Very weird when you can't look for what you want. Almost felt like I was doing a drug deal from the back of someone's car!!! The sales lady told me she would bring stuff out to me and handed me a list of crystals. She also told me that everything they have is on their website; EXCEPT crystals!!! When I went to their website, there wasn't much on there except, oils, essential oils, supplements and bracelets. This is a neat little place if you are interested in crystals, herbs, aromatherapy and things like that. The prices are a bit expensive but they have a specific type of product that is hard to find other places so that is understandable. Parking is a huge pain in the you know what do be prepared for that. The space is also a bit cramped and hard to access for those with mobility issues. The thing I disliked most was the fact that they try to upsell you on everything when checking out This place is just okay to me, if you need something specific then okay but otherwise I would skip this place. read more

I had a hard time finding Soothe Your Soul, but I think it's common since 1) the lady at the temple I mistakenly entered knew exactly what I was looking for and 2) the associate on the phone was eager to provide specific directions. Once I found it, I was greeted by a custom crystal floor and blue footies to wear in order to protect it. The cashier also approached me, asked me what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction. I am pleased with the assortment and quality of oils. I also noted that they carry plenty of jars, bottles, and whatever other containers I may need for batches of sprays or butters I might blend. I wasn't shopping for crystals that day, but I did spot a selenite slab that I couldn't leave without. I received a lovely gift with purchase and great service overall. I LOVE this place! Just moved into the area & was so excited to find this shop. Make sure you walk around to find the entrance, I had a little trouble the first time. Parking can be a bit tough & be prepared to take off your shoes or put on booties when you're inside the shop. Found my fav oil blends here that I diffuse every day. Huge selection of crystals & lots of other fun things to check out. The owner is super helpful & you always walk out with free samples of something or other. I LOVE THIS STORE! I've been coming here for years now. I love their oil blends, crystals, and natural health options. It's a fantastic gift shop too. I can spend HOURS in this store, just looking at everything. I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet but here I am now! I've been having post-surgery stomach issues so I called yesterday to see what Soothe Your Soul recommended. Rena, the owner, picked up and gave me amazing recommendations and spent a lot of time explaining how it all works. She also asked me to call her personally if I wasn't better by the next day and she'd give me other suggestions. I had a gift certificate for this place.....apparently, when someone makes a purchase, Soothe Your Soul gives out $10 gift certificates to be passed on to people who have never been in the store before. And I had not, remarkably, until today. Had I known it would be as cool as it is, I woulda been in there much sooner. Now I know why local folks say they just love this place. If you're into all things metaphysical/spiritual, this is the spot for you. They have books, cards, jewelry, charms, statues, oils and creams.......it smelled so good in there from some kind of relaxing herb that I could have fallen asleep on my feet, seriously. The gentle sound of their indoor fountain and the fact that the heat was turned up contributed to my intensely relaxed mood, no doubt. So I had planned to just run in, grab something worth 10 bucks, and get out. I was there for an hour. I had to look at every dang angel, oops I mean every sweet little angel, and every sacred rock or whatever those things were......and all those wishing stones with words on them. Like: Prosperity, Love, Peace, Harmony.....there were dozens of different ones, all made in house, I was told. They sell little cloth bags to hold the lucky statues & stones & stuff. I finally found the perfect gift for my friend, and the perfect little cloth bag to hold it. It turned out to be the very first thing that had caught my eye, in fact, how funny. I could have spared myself all the browsing. But it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun. Then....I had to wait in line to pay. In this recession/depression, when retailers are struggling, Soothe Your Soul had plenty of customers spending money. Whaddaya know....... The staff consisted of one lady ringing up purchases and another stocking shelves. Both were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and patient. They musta breathed that relaxing aroma all day and it made them super chill & aware. So I had handled so many prosperity charms that I am kinda waiting for my windfall to come along....... Every purchase automatically enters the customer in an online lottery to win $50 in merchandise. Just match the number on your receipt to the one posted on the Soothe Your Soul website. This review is ONLY in regards to the essential oils and employees. I do not get involved with the crystals. Just my own personal spiritual choice. The employees here are always very sweet, informative, and helpful. If they don't know something, they will find out for you. I also like that there are books available for me to research which essential oils are good for what. I love the essential oils! Most people use theirs in a burner or diffuser... maybe dab a little here and there on their skin. I slather these all over my body! I use some (like the "migraine", "pms", "no more sore muscles" blends, and peppermint oil) for health aids, and others (like the "anti-wrinkle" blend and grapefruit and patchouli oils) because I like the smells. Be sure to get on their email distribution list to receive information on new products and special deals/free stuff with a minimum purchase amount. I have never purchased oils from any other stores so I'm not sure how the prices compare to other vendors. There are, generally, four sizes ranging from an eighth of an ounce to two ounce bottles. Today, I purchased one one ounce bottle of grapefruit oil for about $6 and one one ounce bottle of the migraine blend for about $15. The quantity and rarity of the oils included determine the price. Many of my favorite massage therapists at Access Health Center use the oils from here. read more

We finally started coming here again after the last unpleasant experience. Some things I just prefer to purchase in person and this store is convenient to us. There was a woman with some seriously nervous energy working on our most recent visit. She started talking AT us while we were still outside trying to get our shoes off, and because I didn't understand her (don't know if it was the mask, overwhelm from being hit with her overbearing presence, or a little of both) she marched over impatiently and was giving instructions. She behaved this way - aggressively solicitous, I'd call it - for a while after we were inside, till I finally lobbed a polite but firm remark and I think she took the hint that I did not desire any help from her whatsoever. And no, I can't see how we were behaving in a manner that warranted her bothering us nonstop - especially since she began before we'd even entered the store. Our visit prior to this was so pleasant with a nice, calm lady working who was super helpful when we had questions, but wasn't constantly in our faces (I spent 2x as much money that visit). I do love appreciate the crystal selection here, and the fact that they sell blue sage bundles. I just think some of the folks working here could use a vibe check. read more

This is nothing more than a shitty looking warehouse that smells like a clash of essential oils and a dumping ground for overpriced new age imports. The front is cluttered with a bunch of rock piles everywhere in front of a dilapidated building; its next to a park in a residential area which makes it seem very out of place. I had to climb a ladder just to get inside. Once there, I got yelled by the sales clerk for wearing shoes inside. This is supposed to be "soothing"? If I wanted to waste my time with snake oil stores, theres plenty of non-creepy venues that - at the very least - wont make me take off your shoes and pretend their roses doesn't smell like poo poo. read more

Upon entering there are footies that you put in before entering (the floor is beautifully hand painted). They also require you to sanitize your hands at the door. We were immediately greeted and guided by Maliah (sorry if I misspelled). She honestly made my experience so insightful and she helped my friend and I by sharing books and their cheat sheets and all the crystals they had, what they meant, and the way they were organized (priced by size and in alphabetical order). I would 1000% return to soothe your soul as long as MALIAH is there to enlighten and guide us. Girl you rock !!! Keep that same energy !!! We love it ! read more

I've been coming here for a while, honestly just to pick up a few things here and there. The owner (whos name I will respectfully keep private) is really really rude. Not a nice lady. I always thought it was just me until I saw the other reviews. They're all kind of condescending and rude. Which typically I just ignore or give attitude back. (Which I do) I just more can't phantom how you have a store to soothe peoples souls but basically make it a mission to make people feel like crap in your store. It's sad to see all these reviews. You'd be surprised how much people won't complain about most things when you are nice. That all being said, the reason this store is closing is because of karma. I hope you learn that treating people with love is the most immaculate thing you can do for someone. And shame on you for having all these people feel unwelcomed coming into your store. Just bc you have a dream of having a store doesn't automatically mean you should. Customer service plays a big part in how much money you make. read more

You walk in and you think it's a fountain store, then you walk a little further and you think it's a jewelry store (complete with a DIY beading section), then there are lotions, bagged dried flowers and herbs, travel sized plastic bottles and spritzers, and essentials oils in the back. All the while, there are lots of self-help books on shelves. It was fun browsing the dried flower and herb section...dried lavender (around $20 for a large Ziploc), dried peony petals, sunflower petals, chamomile, etc. If you want to make your own potpourri, this is your place! They have a little video/dvd section. They have the DVD, "The Secret" (English and Spanish versions), which is something along the lines of "What the Bleep Do We Know". Two psychics I know have mentioned this movie to me, so I'm interested to know what it's about. Overall, a nice store to browse through when you have a free afternoon if you're into self-help, new age, and spiritual kind of stuff like I am. read more

It is a cozy comfortable place that has various gems, essential oils, and other trinkets that could be used. LOVE this place. I admit, I was reluctant to buy aromatherapy oils to help cure anything, but sure enough I used my pure essential oils today and it worked!! No god needed. I've been here before a couple years ago, but just bought a colon cleanser (which worked but was really powerful). I came back the other day with my girlfriend to try to find a natural cure for what ails us. The ladies at the store are knowledgeable and helpful, and after asking the worker many questions, I got a migraine blend and pms blend because I do get pms and tension headaches a lot. My tension headaches come almost everyday around 2pm while at work. Usually I just rub my neck and shoulders and continue working. Now I rub my migraine blend on the back of my neck and the pain is numbed and cooled. I love it!! Albeit I make the office stink like a park (like that's a bad thing), but it's funny to see co-workers walk by my cubicle taking in huge whiffs because the smell is so natural, earthy, and calming. I'm excited to try the PMS blend, not excited to get my monthly devil.. The store also has an array of books, tarot cards, jewelry, and geodes you can make jewelry out of (a great and beautiful xmas gift idea). I'm definitely coming back for the energizing and relaxing oils to use. The cool thing about this place is that they carry unscented oils, lotions and distilled water to mix with any of the oils to make either perfume atomizers, body oils or lotions. Definitely a case of false advertising for me. I didn't find Soothe Your Soul soothing at all. I went in only to find a deck of affirmation cards I was looking for. The place looks like a bomb went off in there. Some shelves were completely empty while some were packed full. Boxes were open, things were on the wrong place, sections of books were unmarked. The floor was buckled and damaged and held together with tape. The woman at the register didn't look happy to be there either. They offer free classes, some of which sound interesting, but I found the store so off-putting I have no interest in going back. Two stars because they have a lot of inventory and I managed to find what I was looking for, but that's it. read more

I've been looking for an alternative to other craft stores that don't keep a good stock, so I thought I'd check it out. The location is in a weird spot. It literally is a hole in a wall place... because the front of the store is barely noticeable except for a banner over a garage door(that 18-wheelers back up to in order to unload cargo) and your best bet at parking is the public park next door to it. I also was very turned off at their no shoes policy. If you shop here, it's required you take off your shoes or wear shoe-caps that they provide. The floor pattern inside is pretty though. Regardless, the staff I spoke to was extremely nice and well informed. The store offers a lot of calming things and the atmosphere is a really relaxed environment. Gross on the outside, but gorgeous on the inside. This place is expensive though, so be prepared. read more

I always end up buying more than I plan to at this store. Love their essential oils and ointment. I rarely use store brought face lotion after being introduced to their face oil-smells soothing too. Also brought their lavender spray, hand sanitizer, hair conditioner and sore muscles oil. No complains so far. Haven't come across a similar store so cannot compare prices. read more

Great items and beautiful store! However my negative review comes from the customer service from the employee with dread locks who was rude and condescending to me and my friends every time I went to the store. My first visit several weeks ago, she rubbed me the wrong way and I was hoping I was just misinterpreting her attitude and kept it to myself, but several days later I experienced the same vibe from her and felt she was extremely rude, arrogant, dismissive, and condescending. I mentioned my feelings to my friend who went with me that day and she shared the same feelings and told me that the first time she went to the store several months ago, she experienced the same attitude from the same woman. Several days later I went back again with another friend and she also independently expressed the same opinions about the same woman. What an odd place to work in for someone who seems so physically, mentally, and emotionally imbalanced and out of alignment. I am not sure who the owner is, but my advice to the owner would be to get rid of this toxic employee because she's ruining the positive energy and the reputation of what could be an amazing store in the South Bay. read more
