Mark and Val greeted me when I arrived and Val personally showed me the two storage units I was interested in. Let's put it this way -- their drive-up units are so popular there's actually a waiting list for them. As Val walked me through one of their newly built climate-controlled buildings, it honestly felt like Fort Knox with how secure and well-maintained everything was. The property was spotless, modern, organized, and gave me a really safe feeling knowing belongings would be protected there. Even though I ended up needing something different for convenience purposes, I still wanted to recognize the great customer service and positive experience I had here. There are a few dedicated parking spaces for unloading close to the donation truck/table but occasionally I just park in the customer lot and walk my stuff over. I ask for a receipt for tax purposes. Every time I go up to the register with a big pile of stuff, I'm apologetic and flustered about how much ringing up they have to do - but they're ALWAYS super nice and helpful. They literally never have a bad attitude or get annoyed, even when I take a bit of time to pack up my items or change my mind last-minute. I've owned…read moremy heating and cooling company for over 26 years, and whenever I have old furnaces, copper evaporator coils, scrap metal, or other materials to get rid of, this is the place I go to. What I really like is how easy they make the whole process. I simply pull up, unload everything, and they take care of the rest. Yes, I know I could probably make extra money selling some of the metal separately, but honestly, the convenience, service, and professionalism here make it worth it for me. They also recycle aluminum cans, bottles, and many other materials, and they pay customers for recyclables. It's a family-owned business, and I've known the owners and their father for a long time. Good people, hardworking, and always respectful. Just a heads up -- it can get busy at times because a lot of people come here to recycle and cash in their materials, which says a lot about the business itself. I got a quote from Richie and one other contractor in Concord for buildable removal, but decided to go with Richie even though his quote came in a little higher. He did a good job answering my questions and I like that he is local. Richie was able to get the permits and start the job ~6 weeks later. Appreciate he was a willing to coordinate around my business trip. Also, the weekend before they were to start we found out one of our neighbors was planning a backyard gathering on Monday. I texted Richie on the weekend and he said no problem, they would start on Tuesday. Once the team showed up to start the job, they were great at communicating what they were planning each day. They had to remove a section of fence and a small greenhouse to gain access. They also decided not to risk damaging our old driveway with the heavy trucks, so fill dirt was dumped in the street and transferred to the backyard with the bobcat. This showed me that they really care and are thoughtful about what they are doing. I was able to go to work each day without worrying about being there to supervise. The team showed up each day as scheduled and after the concrete demo, rebar cutting, ~28 truck loads of dirt dumped in the hole and compacted, the job was completed in ~9 business days as estimated. They did a good job cleaning up and hauling everything away. ~2 weeks later I passed the city inspection and received the signed permit.
