I added my phone number, my email, the directions, (which is never needed for other delivery services) and OnTrac returns it to Target saying it's "undelivered". OnTrac left two large heavy packages on the side of the road, in the dirt, in the gutter. After many "chats", "emails" and opening tickets on which I spent hours, they refuse to provide any solution. Ontrac told me that it's my responsibility to retrieve the packages left on the road. Zero Star!! BTW, this is not the 1st, 2nd, or the 3rd time the OnTrac has done this. My packages were left in the mailbox, on top of the mailbox, under the mailbox, on the driveway (not mine) next to the mailbox. I have been very tolerant and patient in the past and I either picked up the lighter packages myself, or paid my handyman to get the heavy ones. I guess I was only encouraging bad behavior. I had placed a second order from the same company, which was sent by regular mail, and I received it three days ago. When I created a case through their website chatbot, I received an email stating, "we will do our best to deliver your package as soon as possible," which doesn't give me much hope of receiving the package before Christmas. I have been an eCommerce shipper for 32 years and I have never and will never ship a package with OnTrac. If I could give this company a rating it would be -5 (minus 5). Three times suppliers sent packages through OnTrac (without my knowledge) and today we are on the third delivery. I have only checked the star to be able to get this review up. The driver did not even knock on the door, no "sorry we missed you note" from driver and the driver did not read the note posted on the door to leave packages and a signed authorization so they can snap a shot of it. You cannot contact customer service and speak to anyone, only text them. You cannot go to the facility to pick up your package. You are at the mercy of the driver, and the last three seem to be lazy. Was able to track package to Milipitas, CA (about 35 miles from my home in Santa Cruz, CA), where it arrived at 5:45 AM. Waited all day for delivery, only to find update online to say the delivery would be delayed until the next day (Fri, Sep 15). Waited all day, only to find an updated message saying the delivery would be delayed until Sat, Sep 16 (today). Again, the tracking shows the package to have arrived three days ago and it appears nobody is bothering to throw it on the truck for delivery. I decided I better click the button on their tracking site to contact customer service to find out if I could just drive the 35 miles to pick the item up myself. I received a nice reply that OnTrac has received my message and will be getting back to me by no more than two business days. I have no reason to believe they will actually respond but even if they do, it will be two to three days too late. Bottom line, OnTrac is not reliable or even competent. Lastly, I ordered this product from REI's website, so REI should know better that they're using an unreliable and inferior delivery service with OnTrac. After looking at their ratings nationwide, everything made sense once I saw no average rating score over 2 stars and the vast majority hovering at 1 star since zero stars was not an option. Shame on REI and shame on OnTrac. UPDATE: I just received a message that the delivery will be delayed by another three days, even though it's still showing as having made it to just 35 miles from my house with no movement for what will be six days (assuming it won't be delayed again). Second package that was never delivered within 8 months. Not a good record considering I've stopped doing business with most companies that use them. They do not help to track down your packages and provide zero proof that they have actually been delivered. They merely tell you to contact the business you ordered from and take the driver's word that the package was delivered. I have cameras and not only have I been home on the days they said it was delivered, I have checked my cameras to confirm that they lie and it was not the case. It's been proven in the Bay Area that drivers have been caught with stolen packages at their homes worth thousands of dollars. I believe that if they are not stolen by the driver's then they just can't make their quota and the packages disappear and marked as delivered. I bought a few things from Walmart on Cyber Monday and half of my shipment went through OnTrac. It was my first time having my shipment go through Ontrac and hopefully it's my last time!! When I originally bought my items online, I didn't need them urgently because I was thinking oh it's free 2-day shipping so it should be fine. But then 2 days past and then almost a week went by and I got nothing and I actually needed my items now. I was tracking my shipment almost everyday and noticed that it's been stuck in the same place for the past week. I got curious as to why so I called them Tuesday morning. I was on hold for almost an hour!! First red flag: No apology or greeting whatsoever for me having to wait almost an hour to get through from the guy I was speaking with. I don't even recall him giving his name either. But anyways, I explained to him what I'm noticing about my shipment online and was wondering why my package was delayed at the same place for a week and when can I expect to receive them. 2nd red flag: He couldn't give me a reason nor know when to expect my package. Since he doesn't know when, he gave me an option to pick it up. I asked him where is the pick up place and he said on Montague in Milpitas. Third red flag: In my head I'm like, I live like down the street from where the facility is and this whole time it's been there for a week!?? I was being really nice and polite to him the whole time and he was too, but at the same time I was so annoyed. I told him sure I can pick it up. I asked him is it currently there right now cuz I could pick it up at lunch. 4th red flag: He couldn't confirm that it's physically there. So he asked for all my contact info and I would be emailed when it's available for pick up. The rest of the day past and I didn't receive any notification that my package was available. So I checked online yesterday morning and it said it's being ready to be shipped out that day. Later that afternoon, my package finally arrived. Finally!! I really don't like to leave bad reviews but this one is worth leaving. After three of my Blue Apron deliveries have gone missing I asked the OnTrac driver where they have been delivered. He said he takes all good packages to peoples front doors. I then asked why one of mine was later found in a parcel locker that I am not registered for. (I don't register for the lockers because I have items delivered to my home or I'd go to the store and pick up the items myself). He then said "I have to deliver it someone!" If you aren't familiar with package lockers the delivery person has to select a resident names in the locker system to deliver the package to. That person gets a notification they have a package and they are the only ones with access to that package. So he delivered my packages to someone else knowingly and purposely. I called customer service to complain about this and they said I needed to call Blue Apron to get a credit and I am thinking why should Blue Apron have to pay for their mistakes! I was on hold with OnTrac for 50 minutes! The driver even told me he is too busy to deliver packages and he just has to deliver them some where! I really couldn't believe he was flat out telling me that he doesn't care what happens to peoples packages he just wants to be rid of them.
