BUT, Petra offers tasty potato pancakes (kartoffelpfannkuchen) with applesauce or sauerkraut and egg noodles with swiss and crispy onions (spaetzle). She also usually offers apple strudel or black forest cake for dessert. Haus of Brats is found at various places around town, and she was the sole vendor at Button Brew House's Oktoberfest. She also serves the food with biodegradable plates and utensils. When you return your dessert jar, she also will refund your deposit. Amazing brat. I was fortunate to catch them outside of Casa Marana for Oktoberfest. They have what looks like a modern van. They had a smaller menu which looked great. I got the Uber brat and it was cooked very well. They had three flavors of mustard which was cool to see. The spicy mustard wasn't too spicy. Definitely check them out if you see them out. read more

I've seen this truck around Tucson and always wanted to try it. Recently I also saw a video review of them and was excited to see that they were coming to Marana. Upon arriving I noticed that all of the other trucks were open but this particular van had a sign that said closed in the window. The beer brat was delicious - lots of grilled onions and the roll was fresh and chewy. BUT they were out of the black forest cake so I chose the apple strudel. It turned out to be a slice of apple crumb pie from Safeway or Fry's. You let me down Haus of Brats. Nothing like the picture on your website. Pretty good brats - had the Reuben brat, which I enjoyed pairing with some mustard. Even better dessert - loved the Black Forest cake! The thing that really makes me love this food truck is how sensitive they are to the environment. They will give you biodegradable plates and utensils. And the cake dessert was served in a glass jar, which if you return it after, they will refund you $1, I think it was. How many food trucks take these extra steps? Location: Food truck so you will just need to find out where the Tucson Food Truck Round up is going to be and most likely they will be there. I'm not sure if they are a part of that association but they were there with all the other trucks that are normally together Food: I had the chance to try their schnitzel sandwich ($7) and a water ($1). The sandwich was nothing special or did not even really seem to have much flavor. I tried the schnitzel by itself without the roll or the lettuce or tomato and the breading did not have much flavor to it which in turn did not compliment the pork. It really just felt like it was a normal fried, pork sandwich with regular flour as the breading. The roll it was seated in between was soft and good and the vegatables complimenting the sandwich seemed fresh. Just overall and "Meh" experience. Would I go back?: Only if I was really in the mood to have some other German food. I would try the Brats next but I thought with this schnitzel sandwich being their special, that it would meet higher expectations. This food truck was cool, caught them at the "Return of the Mermaids" festival and the brats and their sauces were really good. What's more is the lady selling the food had an authentic German accent. I got the überbrat which is bacon - wrapped and it was good especially with the sweet mustard that they have. Just happened to come upon a whats happening list on Facebook and saw that they would be just a block away and since I love authentic German food and dont get it often, I went. Not disappointed one bit! Nice list of sausage options caught my eye right away, they do have a few other options, a few side dishes and a few desserts. I chose the Rueben brat and a side of potato pancakes. Order was ready in just a few minutes. I got my order to-go since it felt like -20 outside tonight. The brat was well seasoned, served with melted swiss, horseradish sauce and kraut in a nice sized roll. Potato pancakes came 4 to an order served with either applesauce or kraut. Couldnt decide so I got both. Potato pancakes were nice and crisp and very flavorful. Overall quite a delicious meal...if you want authentic German food, you cant go wrong here. Really loved seeing this addition to the downtown scene. Really hip, trendy atmosphere that I think fits in well with the scene. This was actually parked outside of my job today, and the husband decided to come see me at work. As a Wisconsin girl who was raised in German-American culture, I think I'm at least partially qualified to say that these are the best brats I've ever had. Upon arriving at this food truck, I was greeted by two very friendly people who very promptly assembled my order, a classic brat with sauerkraut. Every aspect of this brat was done right down to the last detail. The brat was tender and juicy, the kraut was crisp, and both were spiced to absolute perfection. The hot mustard was sufficiently hot and flavorful, and it was all served on a large German roll perfect for containing copious amounts of toppings and condiments. I've been eyeing this food truck for a really long time, and finally got to try it at the Baja Beer Festival this year. I got the plain brat with sauerkraut and topped it with hot mustard. It was exactly what I wanted. The kraut and brat were delicious. The price was a bit more than you'd expect to pay, but was worth it. The hot mustard was a pleasant surprise.
