My mom and I had breakfast at Haute Coffee last week when we spent a day in Concord. The cafe is cute - with some especially cute seating out front. We ordered a couple of coffees and some breakfast. My mom got their avocado toast (avocado slices, tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil and red wine vinegar, and red pepper flakes on 7 grain bread), and I had their egg sandwich (egg, Cabot cheddar, on a toasted brioche bun), to which I added bacon and sliced tomato. I found the egg sandwich a little dry (the egg had a fully cooked yolk, so the brioche could have used something on it to make the sandwich a little less dry), but it was a cute spot and an enjoyable, casual breakfast. read more

Grabbed a gingerbread cookie and almond croissant here as well as a oat milk cortado. My daughter loved the cookie! It was soft and chewy with a crunchy crust. The croissant was delicious but could have done without the pan style of the croissant as I prefer the traditional shape. Staff is friendly and kind here. The oat milk cortado was made to perfection and topped with a pretty milk leaf. I definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area to pop in here, especially during the holidays. 3.5 stars - a bit hard to find since the building entrance is not actually on Walden, but obviously everyone knows where they are since it was very busy when we were there. You go off the street through a small parking lot (there is a huge lot in the back if needed) and the entrance then comes into view. They've got tasty sandwiches, though I'll say they ran out of the normal bread that comes with the sandwich I ordered and the replacement that I chose was not the right size/shape for the ingredients. It's a bit of a wait and you'll have to get real lucky for a table, but their drinks are so darn good! My boyfriend got a Maple Spiced Latte (I think that's the name?). Oh man - I want very much to love Haute from the cute name to the top-tier location in Concord right along several bike paths. And I fully appreciate that we came during a crazy weekend morning rush when hordes of cyclists/runners descended on the tiny shop but service was definitely on the slow side. We ended up sharing a table with a group who were waiting for a while for their breakfast sandwiches to come out. And when they did finally arrive, the sandwiches were about the size of a child's fist. I'd need to consume at least two to feel full. The pastries that we ordered were just okay, didn't taste all that fresh or unique - the berry and brie puffed pastry lacked any strong flavor and my cinnamon bun, while studded generously with chopped nuts in the center, was on the stale side. The strawberry lemonade I ordered was almost chokingly sweet but ended up being exactly what I needed to power through the last part of my ride. There's a tiny one-way alleyway that leads to a larger parking lot behind the coffee shop - that, combined with tons of bikes parked everywhere, made getting in a bit tricky. WiFi is available which is a godsend since, for Verizon, as soon as I hit Concord/Carlisle/Weston, my signal goes out the window. read more

One star off for price. My breakfast was $27.00 for eggs coffee and a slice of banana bread. One entire star off for the eggs. Yuk. Prebaked, they were waaaaaaay over done. We really enjoy what Haute has to offer. I always order the haute latte hot or iced. They have really good banana bread. I enjoy their tomato back sandwich and their breakfast sandwich. Tho you have to be careful to check your breakfast sandwich order or you may just get an egg in two slices of bread..that is the default. Our dog loves going here. We sit outside with her when it's warm. She even comes looking for her daddy at Haute when we're on walks uptown and he's at work. The only thing they struggle with is online orders. They often take a very long time, 30 min or more. It's sometimes quicker to just order in person tho there can often be crowded lines and a crowded parking lot on some days. That's the only reason I order from Nero more often, the pickup times are quicker and more reliable there. But, we think the coffee and food her are great and make the time when we have it on the weekends. read more

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the pastries are good. However when I spend over $50 plus tip on 3 sandwiches I think it's reasonable to expect that they be served before they get cold. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and we had to ask where our order was. They rushed it out with a quick "sorry". The sandwiches had clearly been sitting for awhile. Stuff happens but I think it would have been better to apologize in a genuine manner then remake the sandwiches so they were hot when served. Do better. read more

First time visiting last weekend and will definitely be back. Service was great, coffee delicious and cookie was the perfect ending to our day in Concord. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Ordered a pumpkin spice latte and it was done perfectly. You can tell they put the extra time and effort into whatever they make. We will be back again soon. I have a new coffee place to add to my favorites, a very high quality café located in downtown Concord. The location is a bit hidden away, behind the shops near some parking areas. It's a pretty entrance though with some outdoor seating. It seems like almost every time I've visited Haute, there's a lively discussion or joking around going on with at least one patron and the employees, so it's an amusing place to visit, and welcoming. The coffee itself is nothing short of fantastic, with a line-up of top notch iced latte menu items like the wonderful maple spice, a honey cinnamon one, and my personal favorite and kind of a secret menu item, brown sugar (and of course I add powdered cinnamon). The coffee is organic and the flavor syrups are made in house. There are also tasty pastries, various teas, smoothies, and most everything else you'd need too. Haute has become a consistent stop for me whenever I'm in Concord. If you're a coffee drinker and find yourself in the area, this charming café is a must visit! read more

I love that this is tucked away from the Main Street with tables out front and a bowl of water for the pups. Inside the vibe is funky and quirky with wooden floors, stuffed armchairs and metal patio chairs. The Barista understood my question when I asked for bird friendly coffee and said a simple no, rather than trying to explain why their coffee was better. Made me trust him more with the answers he gave to my other questions. They are patient with new customers who don't know the menu, and the staff are just generally friendly. I visited this awesome coffee joint for the first time, and wow, it was busy! Maybe it's always this lively, or perhaps it's because it's Saturday. The seating area had a charming ambiance with string lights, small lime trees, wide plank flooring, rustic walls and ceilings boasting exposed beams. I bought a local artist's calendar, a mocha latte, and some thumbprint cookies to-go! Haute Coffee is hidden away in an alley in Concord, MA. There are two possible experiences at this little cafe. You can stop in and grab a coffee and pastries or you can have a sit down meal in the dining room. I have not had a sit down meal here (yet), so I'm only reviewing the take out area. You enter and a large menu is on the wall to your right while there are some pastries on the counter to choose from. I ordered a turmeric chai latte and Irish Soda Bread to go. I had an appointment near concord center and decided to stop in for a coffee. The service, coffee, food, and atmosphere were AMAZING. You were greeted by a very friendly face as soon as you walked through the door. It was a bit of a wait in line, but the friendly staff made the wait worth while. This intimate, vintage, friendly, sun-lit establishment is by far my favorite cafe in ALL of Middlesex County---I drive 30 minutes each weekend just to partake of the pleasure. Not only does it serve the most sumptuous coffee & teas in Concord, but the nourishing brunches (try the Avocado toast) and the delectable pastries (try the banana bread, but leave a slice for me) are to die for.... Above all, it's the warmth and ambiance of the cafe that draws me. And I am not alone: this beloved cafe attracts a diverse array of loyal locals, writers, musicians, scholars, bikers, tourists, you name it (every now & then even a few Revolutionary re-enactors arrive in Redcoat garb). The abiding sense of warmth and welcome is fostered by the amazing manager Evan. His radiance, generosity, and calm pervade the space---and beyond. Case in point: today, he even ventured into the pouring rain (after hours) to try to help jumpstart my car.... We had the breakfast sandwich, which was more like a snack (tiny with one egg on one piece of untoasted bread, see pic) and the Greek yogurt with granola and fruit (fresh! and nicer than the sandwich). Stopped by here for a quick mocha and it ended up taking a lot longer than expected. It wasn't busy, but I stood at the cash register waiting to order while the baristas and workers were doing their thing, and no one acknowledged me...it was odd, I tried getting their attention but they either didn't hear me or ignored me. I almost walked out but someone eventually came over and asked if I'd been helped yet (obviously not) and finally took my order. The mocha was good albeit a little too sweet for what I normally prefer. Suggest asking for less chocolate if you order a mocha. read more
