Stopped in on a Thursday night. We were greeted and seated quickly and the waitress was there with menus and ready to take our drink order. They had a very comprehensive wine menu and a nice list of cocktails. I got an old-fashioned and the wife got a Coke zero and they were brought fast. I chose the regular old-fashioned over the smoked and it was fantastic; a little on the sweet side for my taste but still very good. We ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer, and it came really quickly and was excellent. Wife ordered the ribeye with mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes. She said it was fantastic cooked just the way she liked it and at a reasonable price. I ordered a bowl of the lobster bisque and a side order of the brussels sprouts. The bisque was a little thin, but loaded with lobster and full flavored. Now the brussels sprouts were fantastic. Seasoned really well lots of bacon slightly crisp. I would go back there just for the brussels sprouts. I also ordered the focaccia bread and it was great for dipping in the lobster bisque. This is a nice little restaurant got a great neighborhood feel to it. We thought the service was fantastic and the food excellent. We will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu. My wife and I had lunch here. We were seated almost immediately, and had good service. The atmosphere feels upscale, and we found the sound level reasonable given that it felt fairly busy. She had the fish tacos and I had the salmon BLT. The BLT was disappointing, with too-thick bread and very little salmon (maybe 1/4" thick where present at all) and maybe two slices of bacon -- overall it was quite bland, dominated by bread. She described the fish tacos (grilled) as "perfectly adequate" but that the fish had an off flavor like it had been soaked in some preservative. We both thought that the fries were some of the best we'd had. We'll likely return to try it for dinner sometime. I'm curious to try some other dishes, plus there are cocktails to try. read more

I got the blackened shrimp tacos which was good I enjoyed them, the star was the fries! My friend got the brussel sprouts which I tried and honestly it was like putting a spoon full of olive oil in my mouth. Also we came as a group of 7 of us and when we got there was only like 2-3 other tables in the restaurant but it took FOREVER to get our food. Like we were there for book club and we finished all of our book discussion topics and picked a new book and date before our food ever got there. At one point one of our friends had forgotten we even ordered food and another friend got up to go ask someone because we were like this is crazy and no one ordered anything complicated it was salads taco and then one order of calamari which was very tough like over fried and my other friend did not like her ahi tuna poke. What a treasure! The food is really good, made to order& fresh. DH had salmon and I had the beef kabobs, both of us substituted spinach in for the starch. So good. We like the bang bang shrimp a lot too. We like to sit on the patio on Friday evening and enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner. Very chill atmosphere. The food I ordered was good, red snapper grilled, and I could tell my granddaughter enjoyed her filet steak. The restaurant seemed a bit unsure what to do with us because we were a party of six. These are omens y'all. After sitting with empty drink glasses for quite awhile, we did the waive from across the restaurant to get his attention (garçon!). Drinks were great, waiter was super friendly, but spent about 2 hours waiting for food and they weren't packed out. Drinks and appetizers came at a decent rate but the meal was super delayed. Pretty disappointed since it was our first visit. Not sure we will come back here again. With so many options in the Webster/Friendswood/ League City I don't think we will come back. Another annoyance is even if you get a reservation when you arrive at time you will not be able to get seat and there are several vacant tables at this time that are supposedly reserved for others. If you are going to make me reserve then have the decency of process to state where I want a table. High top, common area, outside, etc., etc. They need to fix the high top tables so close to the bathroom. Smelling the bathrooms at this per plate dollar point is not worth it, in particular when they force you to those seats... I will not be back unless Perry's or Killen's is not avail and I am forced to lower my standards... read more

We came here on Sunday for dinner and there were three tables here when we got here. It took very long to be greeted and my husband ordered a tea and asked for sweetener. Thirty minutes later we had to get up and ask the adjacent table. We ordered a burger and chicken sandwich and it took about 40 minutes for it to come out. No refills for our drinks unless asked, and then waited a long time. There were only two people waiting tables and our server was also bartending. Food was ok, not outstanding, but the downside was the service. We try to patron local restaurants, but this experience makes us not want to return here. Went on a Sunday evening at 6:30. No hostess to greet us. Only 2 waitress on the floor. We had to wait for a waitress to set up a table with linen even after we had a reservation. Took a long time just to get our water as the waitress was busy tending 2 other tables. I ordered bacon-wrapped scallops. Awful. No hard sear. The bacon was chewy and the vegetables were overcooked and unseasoned. Just gross. Even the presentation was sad looking. They redid the plate now the scallops were way overcooked and tasted like rubber and lacked seasoning. The table around us was not prebussed and I found it gross that the 2 waitress on the floor were also the bussers. No way this place is fine dining. Lacks refinement. This cute, upscale establishment opened in July of 2025 and was founded by a restaurateur who has a few places in Galveston. This is a lovely place for a sweet couples date night or group evening, as the inside has ambience, low lightening and a minimalist aesthetic. It also has a warmed patio for the patrons who want to sit outside and relax. The service was impeccable and our salads were delicious. I had a house salad with a homemade warm bacon vinaigrette that would have been perfect on almost anything. My husband's Caesar salad was excellent and delivered on the exact taste and formula for a good Caesar. The menu is heavy on salads with several choices, and the appetizer menu had plenty of seafood choices, perhaps owing from the owners Galveston roots. They have prime rib on weekends for $43 as well as some nice steak options, and the pasta was simple and thoughtfully planned. I had the blackened chicken Alfredo which was very good, wide homemade noodles with a creamy, flavorful sauce. My husband had a pasta dish that he loved and both came with slices of garlic bread. The dessert menu had things like bread pudding and cake, which we didn't have room for, but after the great dinner we had, can't imagine the homemade desserts were any different. read more

My wife and I were excited to see another restaurant option open up in Friendswood! We really enjoy frequent visits to the other local places like 1895 and Perry's, always great to have another choice in the mix. Since Coopers has opened this location, we have been at least 8 separate times, always for the dinner service. We've had great food and drinks and good service, I can see they're really trying to get up to speed as quickly as they can for such a new location. The environment is nice, almost teetering on "fancy" for me (who tends to wear shorts and a t shirt to dinner). But we've always had a great experience. I hosted an 80th birthday luncheon yesterday for my sister and 13 other guests. Manager Doug, Chef Matt, Alle, servers Jacob and Angel could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They met every request I had with enthusiasm and helpful suggestions ensuring that our celebration was successful. The food was delicious and the birthday girl claimed to be well feted. My husband and I came in for lunch and were seated quickly but then they totally ignored us. I had to go up to the hostess to ask if we were going to be waited upon. Three other tables were seated after us and had their drinks and orders while we hadn't even seen a waiter or waitress. This place needs to get their act together. They have a variety of food from pastas, burgers, and steaks to fish n chips, salmon, and tuna (and much more but that's just what I have tried). Well, they lost us on our second visit. We went for their steak night. My NY strip steak was good but my husband didn't like his, he said it was thin and pretty tough. The sides did not taste fresh, the roasted potatoes were cold, and the mixed veggies were probably frozen bc the carrots had a strange dry texture. Nothing had much flavor or seasoning. The salads were sad, made up mostly of old spring mix that was turning brown, and the dressings were not good, either. The vinaigrette was very sour and the blue cheese dressing tasted like ranch. The key lime pie was awful, I think it had been frozen and then microwaved to warm it up. The graham cracker crust had turned to mush, the filling did not taste very limey, and the topping was some kind of marshmallow goop that had separated, then it was topped with a clear super-sugary drizzle of something. We took it home but threw it away. The drinks and service were OK. Sadly, we will not be back, we were very disappointed in this visit. I had higher hopes for them. Ate there first day it opened so gave them some grace for mistakes. Ordered a Mediterranean seafood salad for lunch. Tasted great but had to hunt for the few pieces of seafood. Very sparse. Again, it was first day. Then tried going back at lunch another day and had shrimp tacos. Decent sized tacos but shrimp seemed pretty flavorless and definitely not using fresh from the gulf shrimp. Went another day for lunch and had the Avocado Greek Salad and added grilled shrimp. Service was great. Salad came out with no shrimp and ranch dressing on the side rather than greek dressing. Server took it back and it came back correct fairly quick. Had the proper dressing but shrimp was cold to lukewarm and again not much flavor. Didn't eat it all. And no, I didn't complain to the server or management. Three times and I'm done. That shrimp salad came to a total of $32 with the cost of salad, addition of shrimp, taxes, extra cost for using a credit/debit card (they discount cash sales) and a nice tip for the server. Seriously that is too much for what I got. I could have gotten fresh gulf shrimp somewhere for that price. Oddly enough, they take and discount cash but they dont do change. They either round up or round down. I rarely do cash but my friend I dined with was not happy with the restaurant keeping their change. Two couples, who are friends, went for dinner together and they spent $145 and $155. Too much for a small town and somewhat mediocre food. Think they should rethink what they are offering here and the menu prices reflect what tastes like Sysco seafood. read more
