Until today, this was my go-to breakfast delivery spot. I ordered a simple bagel and coffee and it took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, the coffee was spilled all over the bagel, and no utensils, napkins or condiments were included. This place is really cool. Granted it's just a bagel place, but the bagels and bialys are super fresh and soft, the spreads are delicious and the sandwiches are killer. But what really makes this place special is their customer service. They are part of the community. They make it a point to remember peoples names and even their individual orders. For example, I go there at least 2-3 times a week for a bialy with lox spread because their lox spread is super tasty, better than any other I've tasted, and I don't even have to say anything, they see me and already they get my order ready. This is real old school service, everyone there is really nice & laid back yet they are fast & efficient. read more

Have-a-Bagel is hands down the best lox spread and everything bagel sandwich on this side of the Williamsburg bridge. Visiting from South Carolina and stumbled across this place while walking to the metro. Best stumble of my life. The staff was super friendly, the service was fantastic, and the wait time was little to none. As for the bagels, I doubt I could ever eat another bagel again from any other place. My favorite bagel spot! My boyfriend grew up in he area and has been eating here for a long time. When I moved here it was one of my first ny bagels. I have to say after trying many other places, this is my absolute favorite bagel spot. No other place like it. Usually this place is good for breakfast but today I was totally disappointed. This was the third time they got my order wrong. I usually just eat it and don't bother. Today I tried calling to let them know that my order was wrong and someone was going to drive over and get the correct order. The girl who picked up the phone didnt want to assist me unless I had the order number I tried to explain I didn't have it because the person was on there way. She didnt want to help me so I had my father come back upstairs with the ticket number so I could explain what was wrong. My dad then drove all the way over and was given the sandwich with just a simple I'm sorry. No other compensation after having driven in a rain storm again to get the food. We will not be going again to eat at this establishment. The costumer service is poor. read more

this place is great...when they deliver. I've now had multiple times where I've ordered and not received my food for hours, even after the approximated delivery time shows only 30-40mins. When I call to complain/ask where my food is, they always say "it's on the way" and offer no more details. Really, really frustrating when you're super hungover and desperately need a bagel. read more

Although the bagels are better than Dunkin Donuts or the nearby grocery stores, the staff borders between disinterested and hostile. Expect to find half a dozen employees with their back turned toward the door, music and TV blaring, a long wait before anyone notices a customer has entered. I ordered a pretty simple small order for just me. Food was "expected" per Seamless to be delivered within 30 minutes. When it had been over an hour I called the place, the woman who picked up nonchalantly told me that the food was still there and wasnt even out for delivery. No apology or remorse on her part when I voiced my shock. I finally got the food nearly two hours after I ordered. They are located less than 10 min driving distance from my work place. I lived a couple of blocks away until I moved to Washington Heights, and I'm so sad that I can't get Have-A-Bagel anymore!! The bagels are amazing, they have a great cream cheese to bagel ratio, and their iced coffee is on point. Not too expensive, and their delivery is always fast and good. The service is great! They were still friendly for the busy time when we showed up. This rating is for the bagels since didn't try any of their other food. But I thought the bagels were great. Chewy, soft, plump, and wonderful toasted with plain cream cheese. And they slathered in a lot of cream cheese too! Definitely coming back to try other bagel favors. This place was a welcome breath of fresh air when they first opened I the neighborhood. Super friendly always open and made great nbagels and sandwiches priced fairly. Today I went it for an everything g bagel with whitefish and got charged $8.25. $8.25! For a bagel with schmear. I mean, what the fuck!? A 1/4 pound of whitefish costs $5 and change and a single bagel like 50-75 cents. So how is it those same two items served together deserve to be almost twice that for less product? It's bullshit and yet another example of the new establishments coming in and raping the old neighborhood. Never going back! Too bad too cause they had bomb ass bagels read more

I hate to be this person, but I ordered a sandwich and asked for no bacon. When I received my order, it had bacon on it. I called and asked if they'd send the correct order (because I still wanted to eat breakfast) and the lady was very difficult on the phone and then said she'd correct it. The correct order never came, so I was charged for a sandwich I couldn't eat because of their mistake that they never amended. I had to change my review. I used to come in at least twice a week but after a few months of coming here the service has really changed. When you walk in the staff looks at you like they can't be bothered at all. They just take your order and brush you off as if you are inconveniencing them.
