The best Indian restaurant I've ever been to!! The food here is amazing and the best I've had. The restaurant is super pretty, clean, and spacious. I loved the decorations and the music. I ordered the palak paneer which I've had at multiple spots and only one so far has been great. I ordered it extra spicy because I don't like it otherwise and they made it perfect for me. The palak paneer was so creamy, rich, spicy, and the cheese was so yummy. My boyfriend ordered the tandoori chicken which was super juicy and flavorful. The green sauce on the side tasted a little minty but was great with it. I love the basmati rice and the butter naan. Everything was super affordable and the server was very nice and friendly. I wanna come here to say that the food was delicious, however the service was a bit rough. We were sat in promptly the day after new years and I thought it would be fine, however the food took forever to come out and once it did, we had to ask nicely multiple times on bringing us sliced onions and it was forgotten multiple times and once it was brought up, the onions took forever to come out too and we had already almost finished eating our food. Mind you, the restaurant was practically empty, there were only 2 other people there so it didn't make much sense. I had also asked for to go boxes and they were brought but I needed an extra one and also took forever to come out so I had to come up to ask for it myself again next to the boxes. The table before us went up to complain about service, and I expected things to change but it didn't. Vegetables Samosa 5/5: - Tasted really delicious and I liked how it was gigantic. It was nicely stuffed with a lot of ingredients. and i didn't feel like i was scammed. Taste was there as well. Chicken Dum Biriyani 5/5: - Again, tasted really delicious and I loved the chicken that was in it. It was fall off the bone and the amount were big chunks. No complaints. Chicken Tikka Masala 5/5: - Just like any other yummy tikka masala, no complaints for this either. It was all perfectly spiced and not too salty. Aloo Gobi 4/5: - I liked this but it was just a little salty. It was unlike any other aloo gobi that i've had before since the potatoes were crispy like fried potato wedges. This used to be our favorite Indian restaurant in the neighborhood but a few things were off on our most recent visit. Here is my take. Food (2.5 stars) + In the past, their tandoori fish is beyond excellent with large pieces of flaky boneless fish. It is our go to order, and they've been consistently amazing for 8-10x we've eaten there. It's flavorful and generous in portion. (5 stars) - This past visit their tandoori fish increased in price along with some other dishes. The grill taste is the same but the portion shrunk considerably. I'm ok with a modest price adjustment but you cannot raise price and reduce portion. That's a recipe for disaster! (1 star) - Our saag is missing some type of spice. I can't make out exactly the spice since I never cooked it but it was very bland. It also went up a couple dollars. Not really an issue with us but it absolutely had no flavor and a huge disappointment. We've had it before and it was delicious. Did they change their cook or recipe? (2.5 stars) Service (2-4 stars) + Typically the service here is slow but the food is usually worth the wait. They give you these papadum crackers with a side of delicious green chutney. Water is served quickly but not always refilled in time if at all. They can get short staffed here at times. - In the past when I pay my bill there wasn't even a selection for tipping. The servers didn't even want me to give them cash. That's 5 star service, but now their system's first choice is 18% even for a party of 5. And on this visit, my water glass was empty even though we were the last 2-3 tables remaining. Ambiance (4-5 stars) + They have traditional seating on one side of the restaurant. Restaurant is quite elegant for a kabob grill, but not overly fancy. It's a causal place but can be a nice date spot for an exotic meal. My wife says she doesn't want to return. I think they just need feedback. I hope this helps them realize that they can improve a few things. We've raved to our friends about this place. They've became regulars. We came here based on an instagram reel. It was well done and so we wanted to also experience it. The place is in a strip mall in evergreen and it's a fairly large restaurant. The thing that drew us were the strung cots that remind you of roadside restaurants in India. But those need to be booked and it's only on Fri, Sat, Sun. They also serve a thali type for this. We ended up ordering dal makhani, chicken and one more dish. Teh food was good and worth another visit. My friend took his family there almost immediately. Its my second time here but it is one of my friend's recommendation and favorite restaurant. Unfortunately we all agreed that the quality of the food and service declined drastically. I wonder if there was a change in management? Tbh service was abnormally slow the first visit as well, but the recent visit was just terrible. The wait staff didnt remove menus from the table, didnt remove appetizer plates, didnt remove empty dishes, our table was just constantly crowded and it was almost like they didnt know what to do when they had to put down our food. We also had to ask for items multiple times, it just seemed like a lack of experience but genuine effort. The food just isnt as good as my first visit. My curry was kindof too sweet and i had some odd chicken pieces. I had to cut into it to make sure it was fully cooked. My friend also mentioned it was like the spice wasnt fully cooked through in some of the dishes. Even the chai wasnt good. ): There was a snafu where it took forever to get us chai (which didnt make sense because we ordered that since the beginning, given how long the meal was they had at least 45 mins to make it) but they knew it took a while and kindly gave it to us on the house. I came here on Saturday right when they are just open at 5PM, the restaurant was clean and spacious, a lot of fun and colorful decor on the wall. We order 3 types of naan... the garlic and regular naan was good. The fish tikka was great, full of flavors and grill perfectly. The butter chicken was a little sweet for me, I think if they cut back the sugar, it will be better! The chicken tikka was good too! Overall, services was okay since there were only 2 tables at the time I was there but when it is full house, I don't think services can be great since they are understaffed. We wanted to support this beautiful community restaurant as my family ate here before, loving the food and ambiance. Group of 3-4. We were hoping for an enjoyable 90th bday celebration however this whole experience was not as joyful as it could have been. The establishment was very cold which made it uncomfortable. It was still raining and very cold outside. It was disappointing ; lack of staffing and kitchen support for a family of 12 during a weekday. We called ahead of time and waited two hours to be served dinner. There was one family here when we placed our order. I paid the bill in advance . After two hours dishes were coming one at a time. I bussed my family's tables to help staff. I could not experience eating one thing at a time Indian food needs each dish to be served together with all condiments. A positive note the food was delicious didn't stay warm on cold plates. I really hope others have a better experience than my family did. I strongly suggest coming as a smaller party until more training and support is provided with larger groups. The amount of money spent truly should have had enough help cooking and serving in a reasonable time. Please do better. read more

We have always ordered takeout from here and their kebabs and tandoori items have always been a hit. We finally decided to go and eat in the restaurant and we are glad we did. We were met as we entered by Jessica who was very professional and hospitable. The place is massive and open. The decor is very traditional Indian with beautiful murals throughout, traditional window coverings, and statues. It's very nicely done. We were served papadum and a greener chutney as a starter, which we gobbled up quickly while we waited. My daughter is an H2O aficionado and so she can tell what water tastes good and she gives his two thumbs up and said it's really good and clean. For dinner, we ordered the Chana Bhatura. A while order of Tandoori Chicken legs and a naan. This was probably the most flavorful tasty Chana I have ever had. This certainly ranks in the top 3. The Bhatura was unique in the sense that it was spice with a little masala. So it was more than just fried dough. The naan was also probably one of the best around. The Tandoori chicken fell off the bone and the flavor was great. Served in a sizzling platter and topped with lots of grilled onions and a slice of lemon. Served with a mint chutney as a dip. Ask for the delicious imli chutney on the side! It is just perfect! The prices and the quantity of food you get is unheard of! Our server was excellent and kept checking on us as well. The only recommendation is that they get cloth napkins. It's difficult to hero your hands clean with just a paper dinner napkin. The restroom is modern and ultra clean as well! I went here after watching California baybae instagram reel about it and I was not disappointed. I got the thali (non-veg) and my husband got the veg thali and they were both FABULOUS. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, service was a bit slow for the thalis but we didn't mind because: 1. it takes time to make a thali with that many components, and I'm guessing they fry the pakoras fresh (one of the thali components) because they came in piping hot. 2. with food this delicious, I don't mind waiting. 3. we had excellent company with friends and it was a great opportunity to catch up before we got busy with tasty food. Every component of the thali was SO good. The pakoras were 10/10 with that perfect chatpata taste. Both the non-veg salans and dal on my thali were excellently made. I tried the paneer from my partner's thali and it was so good with the perfect blend of achari spices. Also, something of note is that every dish on this thali was seasoned so well (both salt and spices). Very balanced, which is hard to do when you have so many components on a thali. Something or the other generally will be 'just ok' or sub-par on thalis but this thali wasn't lacking. The serving staff was also so kind and generous (they sent our table (of five) five lassis even though one of us didn't order the thali. They didn't want our friend to miss out on the lassi fun haha! Even though this area of San Jose is generally not on our radar and is too far for us, we will be visiting this restaurant more because of their excellent food. read more

We also tried the goat biryani here, it was not bad, but it wasnt packed with masala like biryani normally is like. The goat itself was tender and not dry. Adding more salt to this dish would have helped. If they had a choice of 'mild' , 'medium' or 'hot' to cater to different taste buds, I could definitely see this becoming a hit. Overall, the ambiance is nice and waitors are attentive. Hope they take into consideration the feedback and make changes accordingly. We ordered 4 items: Garlic Naan - great favor and really enjoyed it Butter Chicken - nice creaminess and sweetness with bright flavors; this was my boyfriend and I's favorite dish of the night! Chicken Tikka - the spices and grill flavor was great! Really enjoyed it being served on a hot plate Chicken 65 - this was our least favorite dish and the only one that didn't hit. It tasted a bit more like a Chinese sweet and sour chicken than chicken 65 we have gotten at other places that are crispy. Unfortunately, the server also dropped 3-4 pieces when he brought it to our table. The manager was nice and gave us an extra chicken 65 to go on our way out to make up for it.
