Never visiting this place again. We thought of trying it out for lunch . First of all , the place doesn't have any ambience at all for sit down and eat . Mostly looks like a place you would go and pick up . They have some tables though and I saw a banquet hall which looked well decorated ( may be for some party). On the menu they had the prices written for kabobs, gyros, baklava etc and all looked reasonable. There was another menu in the side wall containing picture and name ( but no price ) . Since rest of the menu looked very reasonable I assumed the prices would be in similar range ( may be lil extra) . So I ordered 2 combo plates . And they ended up charging me $77.... That was a shock . When I asked within 2 minutes of paying , if I can cancel 1 plate , the owner denied and said no, all he can do is replace with something else of same price . I mean dude, you didn't even probably pass the order to the kitchen ... and not writing prices of these combo plates although rest of the stuff , which are lower priced have prices written is so DECEPTIVE .... Rude Owner, meh..food Be cautious when booking this venue. The owner, Joe, is very pleasant and nice (the only time that you will see Joe smile) when you're inquiring and ready to book, but our experience changed significantly after payment was made. Our friends reserved the space for a party, and unfortunately we were treated rudely during the process. The day before the event, we stopped by to decorate. Joe complained that our balloon air pump (it's a small pump, see picture attached) was too loud and disturbing customers. Rather than argue, we respectfully moved outside to finish inflating the balloons. More concerning was the issue with the music. Before booking, our friends were clearly told that playing music late would not be a problem. However, on the night of the party, at 11pm, Joe abruptly turned off the music and told us we had to leave. This directly contradicted what had been communicated beforehand. Clear and consistent communication is extremely important when hosting events. Sadly, that was not our experience here. Let's talk about the food... it was forgettable. The grilled chicken kofta was dry. The baba ghanoush was not flavorful. Nothing to write home about. I would not recommend this place due to the rudeness of the owner and the mediocre food. We had an amazing experience at Sophie's Mediterranean Grill this past weekend! We booked our daughter's 1st birthday here and it was the perfect venue to host all of our family and friends. From the moment we first met the owner Joe and the staff, they were very welcoming and attentive. Don't ever go here unless you want to get attack. I came in told the owner I was picking up food. He yelled at me to ring the bell, that was rude. I ring the bell 2 time because nobody at the counter, the owner was sitting at the table looking intoxicated. Then he yelled at me to ring the bell only once, I told him nobody is here what if they don't hear me. He got up and told me to put the food back, he doesn't care. There's a larger dining room, but it's reserved for if someone is hosting a party or banquet so no one is allowed to sit there. The staff was friendly when ordering food, and brought the food to the table once it was ready. You order at the counter first, then seat yourself. The man who took my order said I was the 4th or 5th person in a row to order the Falafel Wrap- so i'd say this item is quite popular! I enjoyed every bit of it! We also ordered a chicken pita wrap and hummus with pita. Drinks you have to pay for, to include water, since there is no drink machine. Horrible experience here today. Super rude manager/owner (the older man there). I ordered a falafel salad and falafel pita. The salad was close to $15 and what I was given was shredded lettuce,shredded carrots and 3 falafel balls cut in half to make it look like 6. No cucumbers or tomatoes as advertised. My wife and I worked closely with Osh setting up the menu and arrangements for baby shower. Osh is very accommodating and super helpful. Joe was very generous with the menu and all of our guests loved the food. The day of the event everything was set up so beautifully. This place is really between a 3.5 and 4.0 star rating. I am not going to post my combo kebob plate takeout food which cost me around $50 (very pricey) for lunch, but I still tipped them. Honestly, meats were dry and not as tender, but I still enjoyed the chicken kebob. Surprisingly, I ordered rice and house salad sides (thought it comes with the combination kebob plate). My meal came with small pieces of pita breads and hummus. $50 (not including tips) to feed two people is considered pricey for this type of takeout meal. I waited approximately 15-20 minutes for my order. Note: Their friend who entered the building and standing behind me at the cashier area did not wear a face mask today. Sophie's Grill has been on my local eats for quite sometime. So when my best friend and I were thinking of restaurants close to home, I suggested this location. I ordered the chicken kabob plate + one beef skewer and my BFF ordered the gyro with fries plus two cans of soda and our total was $41 and some change. I don't mind paying that much but the portions were small. The kabobs were overcooked so they were dry and the hummus (I LOVE hummus) was very bland. My BFF's gyro didn't have that much meat. I totally understand the craziness of inflation so restaurants have to cut back on their portions but we both felt very unsatisfied with our meal. Initially, he said the event would end at 11pm and start wrapping up then but he stopped everything at 10pm and started telling the guests to leave before 10pm which is very rude and not professional at all.
