His behavior was highly unprofessional and made the environment uncomfortable and unsafe ESPECIALLY when trying to stay sober. When I made it clear that I was not interested in any relationship with him, he told me I had 15 minutes to leave, which is why I had to leave so quickly. He frequently made inappropriate comments and showed clear favoritism toward the women who were sexually involved with him.

The staff is helpful and the shelter is clean and orderly. The men don't have much space to congregate so they're always sitting around outside which seems a little sad, but overall, they are fed and sheltered and get a good Christian message.

From the first day my son arrived I have had the most wonderful experience. The staff is supportive, they give advice when you need (and none if you don't). They truly care (I will run into daycare staff when I'm out and about and they will run up and my son will run to them right back). They are also reasonably priced and by far the most bang for your buck. My son comes home with far more knowledge than I would ever think to teach him (simple things like how I put on his own jacket, how to speak some sign language, etc). He has incredible friends who he hugs goodbye to at the end of the day. Socially, academically, and psychologically this was by far the best choice we could have made for our child. Update: I just read the bad review on here. Because I went there for quite a while I can safely say there's no way that review is real or it was written by a new momma with no experience being a momma. They give you a list of things to bring on your first day (I still have it in my junk drawer) and crib sheet is on there. In fact, you get it with an entire welcome packet. The nursery is ALWAYS dark during nap time. That's because-wait for it-it's nap time! The floors are super clean and they don't even allow shoes in the rooms-they're strict about it, trust me- I forgot once and I was quickly reminded :). Are the babies supposed to have bottles in their cribs? Then their cribs would be dirty and they'd get ear infections and you'd probably complain about that. There is absolutely nothing more fun to me than when my babies are dirty. It's because- again, wait for it- they're babies! If they're dirty then they are playing, and eating, and having fun, and most importantly learning. Shouldn't you be caring about that? Again, it's still my favorite place ever and I miss it all the time.

The morning teachers always helped with what was, at first, a difficult transition with the youngest child. Before long it became pick up that was difficult because they were having so much fun. My 4 year old is even reading already and I partly credit the teachers with that! I love that they offer the A-Beka curriculum; additionally they offer Spanish and music lessons. As if that weren't enough to keep the kids busy, they also have a dance school, STEM based education classes, and a gymnastic bus that goes to the Reed Rd location once a week all at prices that don't break the bank. As parents it is important to us to have our kids at a place that is more than just a daycare, we want to make sure they are learning at every opportunity and with our busy schedules I like that they can do gymnastics at school. The learning environment, teachers, and staff are exceptional. Our kids are well cared for, feed, and educated. We are so happy we found The Pillars and I am thankful every day that they take such great care of our little ones.

They continue to let the children bite innocent children that have no say because they are too young to express the hurt. But as long as they get their weekly pay that's all that matters to this childcare facility! Greed is not running a good business when children are being bit ... 4 bites in 5 days ... that's what has been happening to my grandson... since being here he's been bitten 18+ times!!! She really takes ownership of this place and is invested in fostering a safe place for our children to learn and flourish. My daughter loves her teacher Ms. Ashley and Ms. Krista takes such good care of our son. Ms. Donna, the assistant director, is such a sweet spirit and is very active within the learning center. Ms. Tianna and Ms. Yolanda have been great additions to La Petite Academy as well.
