I rebuke my last review!! I do not recommend sending any two year old here, for a Christian School the behavior of the kids biting have no consequences and never take action. They continue to let the children bite innocent children that have no say because they are too young to express the hurt. But as long as they get their weekly pay that's all that matters to this childcare facility! Greed is not running a good business when children are being bit ... 4 bites in 5 days ... that's what has been happening to my grandson... since being here he's been bitten 18+ times!!! We enrolled our daughter here for 2 months and are so sad that we have to leave. The price is reasonable and the staff are all so welcoming. Her teachers have been great and always provide updates on how her day went. You do need an app to unlock the front and back door which gave us a great sense of security and there are observation windows outside the infant classrooms and classroom cams in the lobby in case you want to check on you kiddo without any disruption. There is also an app where we were provided updates, when our daughter was fed, changed and any learning activities for that day/week (along with pictures)!! I can't say enough great things about Pillars on Reed road and I wish we didnt have to leave but so happy that we were able to enroll our little for the short remaining time we have left here. read more

The fact that my son is 8 and went here 4-5 years ago and still talks about the trauma the teachers put him through SPEAKS VOLUMES! My son was asked by his physicians how daycare was going and his response was "I'm scared". I wish I would have listened to my son and now I live with mom guilt for not. After that doctor visit we changed day cares in a quickly timely manner. My son has cystic fibrosis and he told me they weren't giving him his medication. They said they had been, but did not keep any record of dispensing his medication. I knew they weren't giving him his medication becasue he started having a common side effect of not having his medication. After all these years I pray they went under new management for the children's sake! Do not send your loved ones here. My son cried everyday and would run as soon as we would get to the door. His first day at his new daycare, he walked out and his first words were, "mommy the teachers are so nice here". What did they do to my baby, I'll never know the whole truth. read more

My son has been attending The Pillars Christian Learning Center for 5 months now & he has learned so much at just the age of one. His motor skills are excellent & he says so many words for his age. The teachers & director have been amazing & treat my son like their own. If something happens I receive a call right away & don't have to wait until picking him up for the day. They send pictures throughout the day & update the parents with everything they are doing. It's more pricey than some, but totally worth it. read more

My daughter has been attending the Pillars on Reed Rd since she was 9 months old. While has been attending she has learned and grown so much. She recognizes and knows who Jesus is, she knows how to pray and even shows me how to place my hands to pray. The staff here is very friendly and willing to work with your child. My daughter did need some additional assistance when she had surgeries and was in casts. Her teachers adjusted very nicely with her and helped her to relearn to walk, and use her hands again when her casts were removed. They do activities that go along with what's happening in town, and over the holidays. It is overall the best decision I have made for my child, and would highly recommend to any parent looking for quality care for their children. read more

My son loves the staff but recent since they've switch their app. They charged me $3000 without authorization. With that being said they claimed my payments were refunded but never informed me of that. They also told me I had no remaining balance after the day of tuition collection. Communication is very poor here. Unprofessional and the billing staff continued to say sorry but had no way to answer how I'm going to pay bills after they put me in a place to struggle for my kids. By mistakenly charging my account around $3000. My bank had to inform me. Their excuse was the transition of this new app which has been in use for over a month. Livid. Please consider payment, lack of communication with staff and corporate staffing as well. read more

We love the Pillars on Bandera. The staff is loving, knowledgeable, and engaging. My son loves it here and we are truly blessed to have found them. I know he is getting the best education during these critical years and I feel good knowing that he is in a safe and loving environment everyday. I highly recommend this place. read more

Two of my children have been at The Pillars 3 years now. The decision to put your child in the care of someone else is never an easy one, but we have never second guessed putting them at The Pillars. The morning teachers always helped with what was, at first, a difficult transition with the youngest child. Before long it became pick up that was difficult because they were having so much fun. My 4 year old is even reading already and I partly credit the teachers with that! I love that they offer the A-Beka curriculum; additionally they offer Spanish and music lessons. As if that weren't enough to keep the kids busy, they also have a dance school, STEM based education classes, and a gymnastic bus that goes to the Reed Rd location once a week all at prices that don't break the bank. As parents it is important to us to have our kids at a place that is more than just a daycare, we want to make sure they are learning at every opportunity and with our busy schedules I like that they can do gymnastics at school. The learning environment, teachers, and staff are exceptional. Our kids are well cared for, feed, and educated. We are so happy we found The Pillars and I am thankful every day that they take such great care of our little ones. read more

We have had the best experience at the The Pillars! All 3 of our kids go there. It was tough on them when we first started there at 17 months, but the teachers and administrators were so helpful with transitioning the kids and us into a new setting! They have now become so attached to the teachers and love it there! I get phone calls to keep me updated on what is going on and get to see pictures of all the fun they are having. The Pillars work hard to bring in different activities each month to provide a variety of experiences for the kids. The locations is convenient for us and we trust the care our kids are getting at this facility. Being a part of the Pillars family has been a wonderful experience for our family! read more

Due to issues that occurred with my daughter, I have downgraded this facility to only 1 star. They are lucky to even get a star. I'm just thankful that my daughter no longer attends this school. A "Christian" school that tells lies. Ha, go figure! read more

My son has been attending Pillars for several months now and I am beyond impressed with the facility. My son is two and has never been to daycare so needless to say I was hesitant and nervous. Those feelings passed very quick once we saw how happy he was to be there. The teachers and staff are wonderful and my son even asks for them by name when we are home. He has learned so much in the short time he has been there! I feel comfortable and confident in knowing that he is in great hands and learning something new everyday. I could not be happier to have found this gem and thankful my son can be a part of Pillars! This is not a good school if you are a working parent they call you to pickup your child for everything . You will lose your job because of them not being able to handle toddlers or infants. My husband and I were called constantly that we were short on our working hours. Which is hard for a working family . They charge you full price for the week yet we were short on our paycheck because we were called constantly to pick up our child. They think they are running a spa not a daycare The staff can not deal well with young children they are not patient with them. I am thankful for finding a better daycare . read more

DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE! I have had my child come home with unexplained bite marks, scratches, bruises. Their previous director was great at communicating with me, however, my sons teachers were too concerned with their makeup, their own breakfast, and phones to pay attention to the children. Young teachers, disinterested the well being of my child, too concerned with their own issues. I'd watch my child from the window and the teachers were stationary. One always sitting on the floor, the other leaning up against the wall. Not a great place for your child's safety. read more
