Their site says that they have 15 taps featuring local craft beers, but once we sat, we were immediately told they did not have a number of items on the menu. Very few of the beers were local, so I settled on a Yeungling, which was unfortunately flat, sour, and warm. I returned it, and our server was happy to get something else. He did not take it off the bill however which was disappointing. Our server let us know that he was a very experienced bartender, but every time a drink was served, he grabbed it by the mouth of the glass. Gross. Also, several times, the server would ask one person at the table if they'd like another and run away before seeing if everyone at the table was OK. The pizza was the saving grace, and just the way I like it... Thin & Crispy (as stated on the Staff's uniforms). Cooked in a cast iron skillet, it was a unique, and welcome twist. I went for the clam casino special, which was very good. I would definitely get it again if available. Maybe with a squeeze of lemon next time. My wife got the chicken cutlet with hot peppers which was also very good, but totally overloaded with garlic. Wedge salad was good, but could have used a little more dressing. Maybe they just had an off night. I will try them again, but my experience and other recent reviews seems to trend that the staff lacks leadership and needs a significant amount of training. If they could get the management and service right, this place could unlock a ton of potential.

This food court's ambiance is about what you would expect in a Connecticut mall these days: a fraction of what it used to be in terms of traffic. It does bug me that the peaches in the lemonade all want to settle at the bottom and not mix itself in when I stir it, but that's about my only gripe there. Honestly, the toppings added on to make the Ultimate Fries are what help make this side more flavorful and will probably be how I continue to order these fries in future visits. As for the sandwich itself, I've already come to accept that there is no such thing as a true Philly cheesesteak from Charley's, so it's best to temper my expectations when coming here. What's even better is that everything is prepared right in front of you on the grill. I have tried a variety of their sandwiches and specialty fries which are all good, but lately I have been gravitating towards the Philly chicken teriyaki. It is delicious and is made with all white meat chicken, onions, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, and a delectable teriyaki sauce. I also love their real fruit strawberry lemonades--they are sooo goood! Service is always quick and the employees are pleasant. I definitely recommend checking out Charley's Cheesesteaks.
