Sharon was a breath of fresh air and truly made my grandma's day. My grandmother is in a wheelchair and we were shopping for a new power lift chair and sofa for her new room in an assisted living community. It was hard moving her there, but physically for her it was time. Picking out new furniture was a bit of retail therapy for her during what's often a difficult transition. We were hoping to make a fun day out of it. However, at the first place we went (NOT Haverty's) were treated like second class citizens. The saleswoman was impatient and aloof. She showed us the biggest, most expensive chair and then acted like every question we asked was putting her out to answer. Worst of all, everything we liked was a 4-6 week wait. My grandma was pretty bummed and about to just pick the chair that was available and I said, wait, let's walk [roll] a couple doors down to Haverty's. It was easier for her than her having to transfer to and from the car again and the weather was nice enough. We get to Haverty's and Sharon greeted us immediately at the door. Asked our names and how we were related [my daughter was with us and it makes my grandma beam to be able to say that's her "great granddaughter"]. We told her we just moved her into a assisted living so instead of taking us to see the biggest chair on the floor (like the other lady) she took us to more compact ones, suitable for the smaller space. Everything she did was thoughtful. She took her time with us and when I said we were also looking for a sofa she took us to one that was not only small but also with higher seat cushions that my grandmother could get in and out of if she wanted to. Then we saw one in this beautiful blue color that my grandma loved. She'd seen a similar color at the other store but it wasn't available for weeks. We wound up getting the sofa, matching love seat and the power lift chair and it's getting delivered Saturday (as in THIS Saturday, not next month). Even as the sale was as good as done, Sharon's kindness continued. She asked if we were aware of the various VA and Medicaid benefits available to seniors - we are but the fact that she took the time to offer that information was so thoughtful. To top it off, AFTER the sale was done, I could see my grandma was worn out, so I said wait here and I'll walk back to get the car. When I got back Sharon had pulled up a seat and was sitting with my grandma keeping her company. She didn't have to do that. Even the smallest outings mean the world to our seniors, and Sharon turned what was shaping up to be a disappointing day into one of the best days we'd had with my grandma since the move. She was in such a good mood she let us take her out to dinner afterward. I can't say enough great things about this lady and our experience from the ambiance and service to the selection and especially the availability. Sharon and Haverty's really made our day and the furniture is exactly what my grandma wanted. Next time we need furniture I know where we're going! read more

Very frustrating experience with Havertys. I made three debit-card payments totaling $16,466.88: $5,731.46 on 7/29/26, $8,894.86 on 8/11/26 and $1,840.56 on 8/17/26. After cancellations and changes, my final purchases total $10,421.24, including tax and delivery. I received only a $750.31 refund on 9/1/26. Based on my records, $5,295.33 remains unreconciled. I have made repeated requests for a refund or a complete accounting explaining where my money went, but the matter remains unresolved. I am simply asking Havertys to either refund the $5,295.33 or provide documentation showing exactly where those funds were applied or returned. Despite repeated calls and email requests, Havertys has failed to refund or explain the balance. The Sales Manager John Curtis, Finance Manager refused to answer my detailed emails and refused to talk to me. He said, he is not willing to talk to me or review my claim. read more

Havertys is a poor example of American business. We bought what we thought was a leather recliner sofa with USB ports and a Gaurdsman Warranty. $300.00 for the warranty! Don't buy from these stores. The products are junk and the warranty is bogus. I will go out of my way to spread the news about Havertys. Remember they will take your money and after that they view you as the enemy. No customer service. They have a whole department of negative, defensive, and rude jackels to piss you off. read more

Amazing service getting me in and out the door. My wife and I own a luxury home services company called Property Butler. We basically vibe out homes in various capacities. On Saturday we visited (8) art galleries and finally located exactly what we wanted to complete our Master Bedroom. First off let me say we just purchased an expensive couch at a different location & wanted to see if we were missing some things since we were in a new area & haven't been to this location. Browsing the store alone like the other location minding no business. We sat on the massage chairs, my significant other left to use the restroom & a woman giving me Karen vibes comes & tells me I cannot be here alone. First time I'm hearing that I'm not allowed to sit on something to try in your store? We've walked the other locations & sat in everything... ALONE. We were allowed to shop & wait where we wanted while one would use the restroom in any other store so this one felt like it was possibly more of an attack. I'm of color & my significant other is not so it slightly felt like it was just a racist move honestly & I hate to make it that but I cannot understand nor imagine when the amount of times we've been here this is the first time I hear this rule. I purchased a very expensive bedroom set over $5,000 at havertys in Boca. I went to the store and told the salesman that the drawers were not opening properly. He said somebody would be in touch with me for phone calls later I finally got somebody to send a man out today. I told them there was spots on the wood and the inside of the drawer is broken and needs to be replaced. He said my supervisor told me do not look at the spots and we don't make this product anymore. I paid $500 for insurance on this furniture and they didn't do anything it's useless. I thought havertys was a good store I was happy with them when I bought my furniture but never again ever will I purchase anything from them again. Bought the Melbourne Sectional for over $6000 for our home we lost in Hurricane Dorian which we just finally moved into after two very long hard years. The couch after being sat in for less than a week is wrinkled and leather loosened making it look years old. Havertys told me they stand by their product but they don't seem to want to help. I was very disappointed in the furniture I bought here. Leather sofa cushion wrinkled after sitting on it. Door on TV cabinet would not shut and the drawer to an end table would not close. The delivery guy fixed the drawer but they had to send someone out to fix sofa and door on TV cabinet. He fixed door on TV cabinet and stuffed the sofa cushion to smooth it out. The cushion still wrinkled after sitting on it. I was very upset at this point. Called Haverty's, sent pictures, spoke to a manager, William Miranda, he was very reasonable. I went back to the store and selected a different sofa, when they deliver it they will pick up the sofa with the wrinkled cushion. They expressed to me that they want to "make things right". Staff full of excuses and blame calling, still no satisfaction. When I cxl the order after the fourth erroneous date, I was told I would get a credit of my deposit in three days. Terrible. Does not back their merchandise. Makes promises and does not follow thru. Sells Guardsman protection saying refundable for remainder of coverage then states that's not an option and never was. Guardsman refuses service. I've been promised a refund and STILL waiting. Repeated calls results in Havertys blaming Guardsman. NEVER buy from Havertys and NEVER purchase a plan from Guardsman. They are both dishonest. read more

BEWARE OF THEIR DINING CHAIRS! We purchased four dining room chairs there that were on sale for$100 each. After two years of just seasonal use, they fell apart. Literally, the fabric disintegrated.. We called customer service and they said the warranty was up ( 1 year) clearly this furniture was defective.. Yes, we only spent $400 on chairs, but you should not have to throw them in the garbage after two years. Customer service should have given us some kind of store credit. We spent a ton of money there and now we are left with bad feelings and wouldn't recommend their company or want to buy from them again. read more

I purchased a sectional sofa from here recently and I'm not sure if I regret it as of yet. I have had 2 defects with it and they assembled it wrong when it was delivered. In their defense, they did send people out each time to take care of these issues but it makes me question the quality of what I just purchased. The salesperson was very nice, she seemed to be interested in making sure that we got what we needed taken care of. What I really had an issue with was the fact that when I made the purchase, they charged a credit card of mine for a deposit. No issue there, until I decided that I wanted to change the order and they decided to refund my card for the deposit and run it again for a new deposit amount on the new "changed" order. Well as you can imagine, both charges went through and I was assured the refund would be credited within 2-3 days. Three WEEKS later I had to make a couple phone calls and send a nasty email or two. It took 25 days to get the credit put back on the card. One day longer and I would have just filed a dispute with the credit card company. I was told it was due to the "holidays"... right.... I was born yesterday. I really doubt after that experience I will return for more purchases. I'll have to see how the furniture holds up, after reading the first post I'm very worried that I made a costly mistake. read more

I purchased my Haverty's Nevada Sofa and Loveseat at the West Palm Beach store back in August 25, 2018. Douglas Harris who is now a sales manager at the Boca Store was a pleasure to deal with. No pressure tactics, very informative, great and fun personality . Assisted my husband and I to find the best sofa and love seat to fit into our huge back room. After receiving the furniture a few days had passed and we called Douglas to notify to change a three piece sofa with two recliners to the middle piece to a recliner as well. So delivery people came took the one stationary part and changed to recliner in middle seat as well. We love our furniture. Even though West Palm Beach is closer then Boca we will drive the extra miles to have a wonderful shopping experience with Doug Harris!! A lot of my furniture suddenly seemed old and out of date when I recently completed a remodel of my great room. The chain stores were junky and the high end stores were astronomical. Per the Goldilocks Principle, Haverty's was "just right." The furniture is quality at fair prices. Most importantly, a lovely sales lady named Sharon met me at the door my first visit, and easily connected with me. She asked me a few questions to get me rolling on what I needed. I decided to start out with dining room chairs. From the pictures of my house that I showed her on my phone and what I told her I did and didn't like, she was quickly able to describe for me that my style was "transitional" and what that meant. She took me right to their dining room area and showed me several possibilities, then zeroed in on why this one was likely what I was looking for. I was in love! With the chair, and with her! As a woman it can feel shameful at times to have never felt I have a designer's eye. So to have her by my side was empowering. Later I was ready to consider end tables and a coffee table. Once again I showed Sharon my pictures and some ideas on the popular new coastal grandmother look I'd found on Pinterest. She grinned that knowing and joyful grin of hers and led me to the ones that to me were the most gorgeous in the showroom. Why was I even surprised? This week I was ready to finish up with a TV console, accent chair, and entryway table. It didn't even bother me anymore to be dumbfounded at all the prospects because I knew I had my magician. Sharon showed me two very good choices of each. I had to sleep on it and trust my budding instincts. This is the second time I purchased furniture from them that was a floor sample. The first time they forgot to pick up the furniture at the store so they could deliver. Also. Never called me to advise me. So it had to be rescheduled. Then the showed up at 6:30pm instead of by 1:00pm. Last week I purchased another floor sample and guess what? They forgot it again!!! Never called me to Say the delivery was cancelled. I told them to keep it. I don't blame the drivers, I blame their warehouse people who cannot meet a commitment or have the decency to call to say they were not delivering. I will not buy from them again!!! read more

I bought a office desk and additional file cabinets. The file cabinets couldn't hold any files - they would collapse and there wasn't too many files in the drawers. When I complained they said I over loaded the drawer. Just recently I bought a dInning room set and paid extra money for a finish on the fabric so it wouldn't stain if something spilled on the fabric. So a couple of months ago some coffee spilled and I called them. They did come oUt to clean it. But the store manager said to me that the coffee still can go through the fibers. Our super salesman, Alan Cooper, and Marisel, a design consultant, listened to what we wanted and directed us through the store to all possibilities that might meet our expectations. They are amazingly personable and patient, helping us see every possible color and arrangement. John, the manager, also was helpful, even ordering a swatch of one of our leather chairs for me and helping all of us, as a team to complete our order. I had a great Salesperson, Carol, who listened to what I was looking for and was wonderfully kind and not pushy at all. I find that with so many of these furniture stores the sales personnel really push you and it's hard to just browse around. Carol had wonderful suggestions and helped me really clarify my needs. When it comes to anything- I am indecisive, but specifically with bedding and comfort (anything I choose to put in my home to lounge on after being on my feet all day is an important decision lol). Carol was AMAZING- her patience with me and my 4 trips to Havertys was a great experience. I will be honest I was looking in another store, but I did not feel I should give a sale to someone who rushes me in what I consider to be a VERY important decision. I have shopped here for several years and have had the best experience possible anyone could have buying furniture. From the salesman, Alan Cooper who is superb, to selections available and the delivery. Marisol, Haverty's interior designer is extremely knowledgeable in helping customers pick out colors/designs. She even came to my home after delivery to make sure everything was coordinated. Alan will spend what ever time you need to make a decision, and show you all the fabrics and styles that are available. He is the opposite of a pushy salesperson-he wants you to be happy. The same holds true with Marisol. They want their customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. Alan told me recently, this is Haverty's philosophy, customer first. The saleswoman just would not leave us alone, kept bombarding me with calls after visiting. The delivery guys scratched my door frame, havertys guy who came out to fix it made it even worse because he did not have the proper paint color, so not my door has a random splatter of paint on it. I made it clear to their paint man that this is unacceptable, to which he replied with: get the right paint and I will come back to fix it. What a joke. Advice to anyone purchasing from them: give the delivery guys a tip ahead of time, and tell them there will be more if they don't mess anything up. read more

I would give a higher rating but because I ran into difficulty with a piece of furniture, I dropped it to a three star. In 2016 I purchased three rooms of furniture plus accessories totalling nearly $20,000. Just this morning I tried to open the drawer on my dresser and to my dismay, the metal handle snapped in half. I visited the Boca Raton store with the broken handle. The salesman, Bruno, said that it could be replaced. Someone did call back from customer service and told me that it could not be replaced. Now I have a $900. bureau with a missing handle. I even tried searching the web. There are similar handles that might work, however, there is nothing out there in the size I need, 4 7/8 inches read more

I'm sad to do this and that it has come to this. I have spoken with the Haverty's care team and had an inspection for my over 4k couch that we purchased in November 2020 with all of the extended warranties. Mind you, it hasn't been a year and the couch is more of a display item than our every day couch (we have two living rooms). This was our second couch from Haverty's because our first held up so well. WELL, apparently they are no longer producing the same quality furniture they did in 2015. The couch started piling immediately and though I thought it was just because it was new (bought a depiling device from amazon, the same device the inspector stated he had) it has just continued to get worse. Per the care team this is "not a quality issue but the nature of the couch". I'm incredibly disappointed considering we spent a lot of money on a couch we hoped to get more than 8 months out of. The care team did offer to send me a link on how to care for the fabric of my sofa though - kind of rude. Important to add, they have since stopped the sale of the couch we purchased... I wonder why? Could it be that the quality is questionable? Sad to see Haverty's doesn't stand behind their products/admit when they've taken advantage of their customers...was unable to attach photo's here but did on google. Ordered some items online and had an issue with the order. Went to my local Boca store and was given 100% attention, they did not pass me over to customer service they handled it! Completely satisfied with the great customer service, Alan rewrote my order and everything was on its way. The delivery went smooth, on time and the guys were super careful not to damage anything.
