Don't ever pay $40 delivery fee because the driver will try to bring in dirty dally cart into your house, and when I asked can he help me move the furnitures inside, he said, technically I am only supposed to leave it at your front door. Stood there watching me carry my furniture inside on my own. Also I would have never agreed to pay $40 delivery fee and would have preferred picking them up myself from the warehouse but one of the night stand was not available for pickup. I won't make emotional statement and say that I won't ever shop here again because there aren't more options for furniture stores. But I do want to make clear that the customer service is horrible every single time. City furniture and Ashley furniture (sister company), they don't care about customers. Once they make the sale, you are on your own. No refunds for damaged couch, no refunds or store credit for being lied to by the sales rep about couch covers being able to be removed for machine safe wash. Anyway if I were you be very careful and read all the fine print. I bought a dining room and table and chairs and spent $1,900. I bought the warranty/protection plan on it and there was damage to the table, so I made a claim. Someone came out and said I'd be getting a new table, so I was happy. Then I got a call that our claim was denied and it's not damage from food/water but yet it was damaged from food and the technician who came out even agreed. I have made several calls to try to get this fixed and no one was helpful. I got an in store credit check for my "money back" for the warranty. I can only use it in store, and a store that's 4 hours away from me! I called customer service (again) they said someone in sales at the store would call me but nothing. I lean towards modern pieces and clean lines. Ashley Furniture leans towards a more traditional look. Some of their pieces are really beautiful, just not the look I am going after. I was let down in City Furniture so I walked over to the other side of the store to see what Ashley offers. Both stores are housed in one building & they consider themselves to be "sister" stores. In my opinion Ashley is the nicer of the two. Luckily I met Sal & she is the friendliest, non pushy sales associate I have ever dealt with. I didn't make a purchase and she knew I was looking for a contemporary look, yet she still spent time with me & gave me some great ideas. While we were discussing mattresses, she mentioned Hope To Dream. I didn't remember everything she said, so I called the store a few minutes ago to get the details. With my OCD, it's important for me to stick with the facts. Of course I also checked out the website, just to confirm. Ashley has their own foundation & it's called Hope To Dream. They believe that every child should have a bed to call their own. So far they have delivered over 50K beds to children and their families. A portion of each mattress purchase goes towards Hope To Dream. They only have three qualifications. The child must be nominated, the family must have a very low income & the child must be between the ages of 3 & 16. Just go on their website to nominate a child, it's that easy. The delivery team appeared to be professional - however, they left styrofoam on my carpet, damaged my wall (because they failed to use blankets as any reputable mover would do) by hitting it with the metal part of the footboard - tearing a chunk of drywall and coats of paint out of the wall and then acted like they didn't do it - even said to the call center "If we did it" - when you hit the wall you both looked back at the damage done! Left smudge prints on my wall - not small marks but hand sized smudge prints Upon setting up the bed, they finagled the underbed leg support - put it at an angle because the slats to the bed somehow rubbed up against one of the drawers. THEN the second drawer was installed with cracks in the wood. All of this was reported to the appropriate departments. However, it took multiple calls to get someone to schedule an appointment to have someone come out to repair the bed. THEN I receive a replacement drawer that I cannot use because all of the hardware from the original has to be removed and drilled into the new drawer. I have no idea who to call to do this. I also called their customer support number twice today. The first time my call went unanswered for 17 minutes - so I hung up. I called back and decided to stay on the phone until someone answered. I was on hold for 47 minutes before someone answered. Then I had to be transferred to the "In-Home Damage" department and put on hold again. No one answered. So after about 9 minutes, the original customer service agent comes back on to tell me that they can give me a check for $95 or an in-store credit of $115 in response to damaging my wall. So wait, $95 does not cover the amount of time I have sat on-hold just to speak to someone, nor the time it will take for me to find a reputable person who can properly fix the dry wall and paint it without the damage/fix looking obvious. I went sofa shopping two weeks ago to find a new sofa for my new apartment. I was pleased with the service at the actual store. The salesman was patient and thorough and got me the best deal. However, when it was time to receive the delivery, the delivery men attempted ONCE to get the sofa through the door before throwing their hands up and saying "it's not going ti fit." We always try to comeback to Ashley to give our business but today is really the most disappointing experience we ever had. We came to purchase bedroom set and we still did even after the crappy experience. But when the time we need to address the issue regarding the sofa we just bought in March (less than a year ago) we were told that we didnt have protection or whatever they call it; so we decided to just buy a new set of sofa (which is actually more expensive), a new center table and a new rug from them again. Ordered living room furniture for my son who was going away to college in November. The sofa was delivered and they never installed a leg in the center of the sofa, a part critical for structural integrity. I am certain the sofa is now damaged and the escalation specialist won't replace it even though it was delivered defective. We spent an hour speaking to someone weeks ago that was supposed to send us out the leg we haven't received to date. That issue is still unresolved. On the same day we scheduled to have a rep come out and see about the chair that was delivered with a metal corner structure unsoldered. Today the company sent out a claim department representative that said the damage is a manufacturer defect and suggested we have it fixed ourselves because it will probably take another six months to replace. Can you imagine? Well, at least he was honest! I contacted the customer service department and they connected me to someone in the "corporate customer care department". She said they had no record of any service visit! And now the chair is on back order, again! So, because they failed to ship me the missing leg for the sofa they are insisting that I send a photo of the missing part so they can clarify what it is they need to send me? Can you believe it? And we are still waiting for the side table on back order! I refuse to continue to call a department ironically called "Corporate Customer Care" that provides everything but customer care. I got a Couch/Recliner and as soon as it got delivered I knew it was not good for us. I contacted our Sales Representative in less than 24hrs and asked for a restocking/reselection. The paperwork said I was allowed to do so. They shot me down on the Customer Service phone line. Gave me a very hard time and made me come back to the store to spend hours trying to do what the paperwork said I was entitled to do. The paperwork said I had to pay a restocking fee of $99 but they charged me more than $200. After was finally done, I was paired with a very nice salesman that was on his way out whose working tablet was about to die as he kept stating. I took him straight to the model I wanted and told him the exact configuration I needed but he said that I was wrong, that his tablet told him that option did not exist and left me with 2 options. One was Avery dark color that I did not want at all and the other one was the Ashley version of lower quality. I had to go with that one because it had exactly the set up I needed it and the color and material were acceptable. I tried it and sat on it and it felt fine. After total disregard of scheduling the 2nd couch got delivered. The Interior came ripped up, and it felt rock solid hard when sitting down. The driver called Customer Service. They said that a tech was being sent in a couple of days to fix the interior linen and that the sensation was normal until the material decompress after delivery. Nothing to worry about!. When the tech showed up he fixed the ripped fabric and said that the rock solid was not going away because that's how it's done. Nothing to do with the one shown on the store. Also told me that the one I wanted DOES exist and that the sales man was probably trying to push the Ashley model instead of the City Firniture model that is more expensive because he was an Ashley's salesman. When I called Customer Service back they shot me down even quicker and told me that they already gave me the "courtesy" of restocking/reselecting once, they did not care whose fault it was or that I was lied to, they just do not have the option to select on their systems and that was it. I have called so many times after, I went to the store again and spent hours on the phone right there, I have opened a claim with the BBB but they just do not care. I have been left with a couch that I can't even sit on to watch Tv unless I sit on a pillow. That's how bad it is!!!!! Want to make your buying experience the most painful, frustrating and downright annoying experience ever? Well then come to this Ashley Home Store! Went with my GF to use a voucher we received from a previous purchase. The voucher was for not making a claim for repair on furniture that my grandmother, who lives in Mississippi and is 92 yrs old (important for later in story), purchased for us. The voucher is for $122. We go on a Saturday afternoon and it is dead as a door nail. Should've made note of that. We walk in and of course are greeted by a small throng of salespeople looking to "help" us. We explain we are just going to look and they leave us alone. We settle for a picture that is priced at $150 and some candle holders that are $30. We make it painfully clear to call us and we repeat the number to call several times. They tell us "No problem." We use the voucher and pay the remaining balance and the saleswoman tells us that "we will call you in 2-3 days when the picture comes in and you can pick it up." Sounds easy! HAHAHAHAH! Not so. Three days later we call and we are told we "were supposed to get it from the warehouse." We state we were told no such thing but the person on the phone is insistent that we were, even though this dipstick wasn't there. Eventually it gets smoothed out and we are told they will again call us when the picture arrives in store. A few days later, I call my mother to just talk and she tells me she can't talk because she is trying to figure out who has purchased something fraudulently under my grandmother's Ashley account. You see the stupidity pattern? They called this woman MULTIPLE TIMES and had her frantic. I told my mother what was going on and she was livid. What makes it even more ridiculous is that WE HAD SPOKEN TO ASHLEY THE DAY BEFORE THEY CALLED MY GRANDMOTHER so there was no damn reason for them to call her. We STILL don't have the stupid picture as we were mistold the dimensions and couldn't get it in the vehicle we drove to get it the other day. I purchased the Hallenberg 2 piece sectional sofa back on 6/28/20. I paid over 1,000 dollars CASH for the sofa. They were delivered on 7/13/20. The sofa came defective. I realized the sofa was defective on 7/16/20 when I went to remove the tag that was hanging from the armrest. I immediately called Ashleys Furniture to request they replace it. They told me due to COVID the sofa was not available to be replaced until 8/20/20. On 8/19/20 a representative called me and told me that unfortunately due to COVID they will not be able to come replace the left love seat until 8/23/20. On 8/22/20 another representative called me and told me unfortunately due to COVID they have to reschedule the date to 9/2/20. On 9/2/20 I receive a call a representative named CHANEL, who apologized to me saying that due to COVID they have to reschedule the delivery date to 9/5/20. I asked her to please verify with her superiors that they are going to deliver my sofa on 9/5/20, because I am an essential worker and I will have to take that day off from the hospital. She ensured that it was going to be delivered on 9/5/20 and that somebody was going to contact me the day of delivery and provide me with the "delivery window time". On 9/5/20 I waited until 12:30 pm and did not receive a call from Ashleys Furniture. I called them to question the time they were going to arrive. The employee named John ID #55 apologized and told me that the sofa was not going to be delivered once again due to COVID and that the next date of availability was going to be October 20th. I asked to speak to the district manager and he said he could not provide me with neither an email nor a phone number to contact her. He told me the director of operations name is Laura Hoehne and the best way to contact her is via mail. He told me the address where I can send her the letter is 6701 North Haitus Rd, Tamarac, FL, 33321. I mailed her a letter on 9/7/20 and I have not received neither a phone call nor a email from her. I called Ashleys Furniture (Boca Raton Location) again on 9/20/20, I spoke with another representative named Leonardo who guaranteed that the sofa was now going to be replaced on Sunday 9/27/20. I specifically told him that I have heard that plenty of times before and I want to confirm this with his manager. His response was that his manager is going to tell me the same thing he is. And OF COURSE, it was yet another lie. The last person I spoke with was a woman named ELLEN who apologized to me and told me that as of now they do not have a set date to replace my sofas due to COVID. This is now FIVE different times that this company tells me they are going to deliver my sofas, and they dont due to COVID. I am a front-liner at one of the busiest Trauma Level ONE hospitals in South Florida. I understand that covid has put a halt to many things, HOWEVER, that does NOT excuse the unprofessionalism on this company's behalf! I even took a day OFF expecting their arrival, and they did not even have the decency to call me and inform me that they changed the date of delivery. May 26, 2021 we spoke to Breann in the Customer Care Department today because we needed an updated Certificate of Insurance (COI) for delivery of furniture in our building. She is an asset to their organization. She asked us to hold on the phone while she contacted our buildings management office to ensure the undated COI was sent over. There should be more Customer Care Reps. like Breann, she really cares about customer service, and should be commended for a job well done. Now just hoping the delivery of furniture goes smoothly. Here is the UPDATE May 27th. The delivery team Shannon and Anthony were GREAT! They took great care in handling the furniture to the apt and were very respectful. I just hope all future furniture deliveries go that smoothly. We would think about purchasing from Ashley again in the future if needed. We are just happy to have had a good experience. Also, the Sales Rep. Ronnie Smith was a pleasure to work with. My only issue with Ashley Furniture is that we ended up "paying" the extra charge for delivery and unpacking of the furniture in the apt. FREE DELIVERY to Ashley means, they deliver the furniture to your residence, but you have to carry it inside and unpack it yourself. So, if you lived in a Condo on the 22nd floor, it is your responsibility to put it in the elevator, carry it to your apt and unpack it. How CRAZY is that, I remember a time when FREE DELIVERY meant the company would deliver the furniture to your unit & unpack it at "no" extra charge. Anything to make an extra buck off the consumers. I wish we would have read the Yelp reviews before spending thousands of dollars at Ashley Furniture. We paid $150+ for "NEXT DAY" delivery and setup service. Although we are only 3 miles away, our delivery was postponed twice. Our furniture was delivered 6 days later. Upon inspection of their "installation" of my young daughter's bunk bed, I noticed that there were many screws missing from the slats which hold the top mattress. However, there was one screw that stood out. It was the one that was obviously not part of the original equipment from the manufacturer. It was aiming downward toward my 6 year old's mattress, 2" long, very sharp and very dangerous. This level of service is completely unacceptable. read more

Chapter 3 in my search for a new mattress. When Clyde and I walked in a nice salesman offered to show us beds. The store is fairly large and the beds are not in one place. We walked around the store and stopped to try a few beds. Prices seemed to be a little higher then the other places I checked. I don't know if I wasn't shown the more reasonably priced beds or if their beds are more expensive. It's hard to compare since most stores carry similar beds, but they have different names everyplace you go. You can't just Google the name of the bed and expect to find it. This furniture store is very attractive and they have lots of furniture. Other then the one salesman that helped us nobody else spoke to us. Not even a hello. Odd since they weren't busy. read more
