After a few years I was incredulous and angry that the varnish melted on possessions left on dining room chairs, leaving indelible marks. Being short, I added extra seating pads to the chairs, but after only 10 years all the seats on the dining room chairs started to sag and I now have to consider another layer of pads, while the cover under the chairs is torn and hanging off. This is my second unsatisfactory review for Baer furniture with the same problem. We have a Natuzzi recliner and sofa that we bought a few years ago. We have a current extended warranty. We filed a claim in Dec 2025. We explained that we are snowbirds and only here part time. It was frustrating making an appt because they would not connect me to a human being. Instead they sent potential dates that were outside my requested range. Finally we had an appt Unfortunately the tech showed up hours and hours late. Oh. he had to order parts. They knew the problem before he came out. I video the problem. Ok he ordered the parts. I had to wait til we returned to florida and set up a new appt date. It was supposed to be last week between 8 and noon. The tech did not call. I called him at noon and asked what was happening. Oh his car broke down and he would be here between 3 and 5. At 5 he showed up and then told me he ordered the wrong part. Duh? Now what? I have talked to Jennifer at Baer and she keeps telling me that she reports these issues. However, nothing gets resolved. She has asked me several times to write another review. Well here it is another failure. I would definitely tell people not go buy from Baer. They pass the buck. Jennifer told me that this is a problem with the warranty people.. I tell her that since I am a customer of Baer then Baer is responsible to m.e. I have read a numer of similar poor reviews. I bought a custom Natucci sectional from the store in Boca Raton Florida. I ordered it from a swatch of leather they provided. The sectional arrived and the leather was not the right color and the stenciling was way off matching the swatch. Mr. Baer's offered a partial store credit. I had no choice but to accept this ridiculous offer. He said that there was a re-stocking fee. He owes me over 1500.00 dollar. Do not order anything from Baer's! Especially Natucc! read more

We bought our beautiful, leather, high end recliner in December 2022. We are in FL a total of 4 months every winter. As a result our recliner has been used of twelve months. We went to the store to explain our circumstances.We were told we didn't connect the battery correctly. We knew it was charged because the green light was on. Nevertheless, we went home and checked all the connections. When we asked him if his solution didn't work what our options are "Get a new recliner" was his response Very dismissive. Very cavalier. No possible solution that might work out in our favor. We went back to see all the connections were secure. This time, he didn't even come out of his office to acknowledge us This is not the interactions we expected to receive. The status that they try to convey to consumers is overrated and not accurate There are many truly premium furniture stores here which we will choose to frequent in the process ofdesigning our home Selling is the easy part. Totally unhelpful. We bought a simmons black beautyrest mattress with a 10 year guarantee. We paid $4,500 for the mattress and experienced back pain after a few years and were told we could not get a refund because we were a quarter inch short on their discomfort scale. My experience several years ago was excellent. I worked with Warren. I did not finance. I purchased approximately $90,000.00 furnishings every room in a 2500 square foot home in Boca Raton. The service was excellent. We luved the furniture. Large store, exceptional quality. Read another review in which someone paid over $4,000.00 and returned two years later complaining their back hurt. What? The pieces we bought were carefully selected. Our second bedroom bed was beautiful. Natuzzi leather couch and chairs gorgeous. Office desk and wall units with TV table fantastic. Chair in master bedroom distinct. Large wall unit and dresser with bed night tables and lamps for master classic. Second bedroom night tables, high dresser, long horizontal dresser absolutely beautiful (we did return the original pieces for an upgrade and charged a % price increase plus delivery HOWEVER what would you expect. Warren could not be nicer). Bar stools A+. Kathy Baer is a pleasure. Some buyers hem and haw, very fickle and do not know what they want. We are very decisive. Great quality furnishings, terrific customer service and pieces that will last forever !

We've all experienced that unfortunate timing situation in which we receive a discount offer for an item just after we purchased it. Reputable companies will retroactively apply the discount. Others will shrug their big corporate shoulders and essentially say "too bad for you". But the most unscrupulous businesses such as Baer's Furniture will purposefully send a discount offer to customers AFTER the customer has made a recent purchase in their store. Why do they do this? To "lure customers back to the store to make additional purchases" as a Baer's store rep in Boca said to me after I drove 1/2 hour to get to there. Not only wouldn't they apply the discount to my current in-process order, but when I called about the offer, they told me I needed to visit the store to discuss it. I felt like I was "lured to the store" under false pretenses. Needless to say, I not only didn't purchase any other items from Baer's during that visit, I will no longer be a Baer's customer. And I hope other people will heed my advice to find more reputable businesses to shop at. read more

My one star rating is extremely generous considering this was the absolutely worst furniture shopping experience EVER. The salespeople are complete morons. They make you sign ridiculous amounts of paperwork in order to complete a simple exchange and then they lose it MULTIPLE TIMES. Communication with the office is beyond horrible. Customer service is beyond frustrating and quite honestly needs a management overhaul. Products sold are high end and expensive so you are entitled to responsive answers on product and delivery issues. I took a walk through the store just to see what they have. I'm looking for a gray leather reclining sectional sofa with a matching ottoman without cup holders. I also am looking for a TV stand for a new 55" I am buying this weekend. I will write a separate review on the store where I buy my new TV. I had a good experience here; I was properly greeted, offered help and I wasn't followed around like I was a terrorist or thief. Not to exaggerate, but I have been treated like that at another furniture store and it wasn't a good feeling. Number one, I am a credit analyst-not a terrorist & number two-do they really think I will just pick up a couch and carry it out the door? So on a positive note, I felt very comfortable here and was treated well. The showroom was easy to navigate and the sales associate was available if I had a question or three. They have a nice selection of affordably priced furniture in many styles. I liked a few items but nothing that wowed me and I want the wow factor. Furniture is an investment and just like a potential partner, when I see the right sofa, I will know it's the right one for me. Buying a new TV is so much easier than buying furniture. At least I know someone who is quite knowledgeable about all things electronic & that's huge. So my furniture search will continue this weekend and I am hoping to find what I am looking for. I wish I found it here because everyone was so helpful and friendly. I didn't buy anything so I can't comment on the delivery or the furniture itself. I purchased a leather 2 seater electric recliner. I paid a lot of money for the piece and additional for 4 years of service. When it lost cushioning over the recliner end seats in 2 years I was told they can not help me. I was shocked. Sofa great condition and sitting 2 end recliners so easy to refill refused. Very disappointed. I have worked and recommended the store for 21 years. Now I will only be totally disappointed in this chain and recommend to no one. read more

I had been waiting a long time for a call back for the repair company to come. It seems that 3 of the 4 S bars that support the user have failed. My appointment is June 28. I am hoping things go well as it was an expensive IMG recliner. I will update the outcome. UPDATE AS OF 6/24/22!!!! After seeing the report done by the repair company (Acosta Leather) Jennifer from Baer's called and I will be getting a one time free repair. They are coming to pick up the recliner in question next Wed. Someone will call on Tuesday regarding the time frame. Had a really great experience shopping for a mattress and previously a couch. The couch is still in great condition - 10 years later ! I also love knowing it's a locally owned family business (and not a huge corporation) so you get great, personal service and attention but don't feel like a number in the system or that someone is pushing a product on you. I purchased an approximately $15,000 sectional from Baer's. Less than a year later, one of the motors for the head rest ripped from the wood mount. Baer's sent a technician who wrote on the paperwork that it needed to be replaced. That the wood was compromised and could not be repaired. I have received three calls today from service and a store manager stating that the manufacturer would like to take the piece out of the home, for undetermined timeframe to repair it; that the leather would not match. At this time I am still requesting that they replace the item with a new one as this was obviously not built to standard. I did purchase the five year warranty, so I am confused about their approach to resolving this issue. What better to do on a rainy Saturday than to go furniture shopping. From our previous purchases here, we were glad that Wendy was working. She is a no pressure sales person but we seem to buy every time. She is very knowledgeable and listens to what we were looking for. After walking the floor a few times, comparing many different couches, we decided on a nice Tommy Bahama love seat sofa and a modern leather recliner. Both were on sale so the price she gave us was really good. The couch is great because we literally built it from the ground up. We got to pick the cushion shape, leg size, fabric on both couch and pillows, and the shape of the arms. It will take some time to come in but it will be well worth the wait. The recliner is pretty cool too. It looks like a first class seat on an airliner. It swivels in a circle, has auto recline, and the headrest is movable like a car driver's seat. That too had to be ordered but the wait time is much less. The delivery fee is $149 for all pieces, but as the pieces come in, they will be delivered even if they have to make a few trips. This is a nice family owned business who has always had nice products that are high quality. read more

Read the fine print on the extended warranty. We bought the warranty after being told by the salesperson that the purchase price of the warranty would be returned in the form of a store credit. Needless to say that after 5 years and no claims, we went to Baers and was told that the residual value was only 50% of the warranty value. We weren't very happy after being told differently. Buyer beware. Management said we were told wrong and couldn't do anything for us. We had already picked out accessories to fulfill our purchase price. Not sure if I'd recommend Baers after this. I tried returning a chair charge phone was not working chair insert my house, and it was uncomfortable. They would not give me money left or any type of refund they did allow me to exchange, but it had to be for equal value or less. They are very helpful when I did my first purchase, but once I was out the door and they had their money I don't know longer a customer. July 2022, finally getting time to write my review about the bedroom furniture we purchased a few months ago at the Boca Raton location. The sales rep Warren Hellman was GREAT to work with. He was professional and did not pressure us into a sale. Warren was always available to answer all our questions, he is truly a wonderful salesman. Plus the two delivery guys were wonderful.
