My friend from Highschool was going to Havertys so, I decided to tag along. We looked around for specific furniture pieces. We went there Saturday afternoon. There were more employees chilling than customers. We were greeted by a friendly employee named Birdie. She was an opened book that gave a lot of detail about the furniture. They have a variety of furniture to choose from that seems pricey. My friend says it's good quality and will last long. Who knows? I'll let someone else see if it does. In the search for new living room furniture, went to Living Spaces, Ashley and driving by Havertys and decided to step in. Hear we go- I have a rating for each ***** When we entered in the doors of Havertys', we were welcomed by Cassie Maxwell. She was so happy, understanding and very helpful. I don't like a pesto sales associate, we knew what we were looking for and let her know when we needed her we would find her. She respected that. Once we found what we came for and even a little extra ( I love my Chaise), Cassie was ready to process our purchase. Our first delivery date was set for 21 Sep. And yes they support military and veterans. * Delivery men were very nice but very inexperienced I feel like it was two new guys on a team and not a veteran with a newer guy. Needless to say, while trying to put my couch upstairs they got it jammed in the stairwell and had to be brought back down which resulted in some pretty serious damage to my wall. In the Haverty's survey they asked if they were respectful to my home, I don't think they didn't care about my home I just feel they were inexperienced. **** Customer Care Associate was always kind, she was the investigator in the process. She asked questions, asked for pictures and then forwarded up higher for approval. That worked well. So I made a claim for the damages to the wall, to exchange the sofa bed, and to have someone come and look at the living room set sofa and loveseat, they had a few flaws that we were unhappy about. The approval department for replacing the sofa bed and living room set was flawless. Scheduled us the next delivery date 29 Sep for the sofa bed and 13 Oct for the living Room set. For the damage to my wall, she offered me a gift card or $250 towards my bill....what??? What about the repairs? Yes I had to ask what are we going to do about the repairs? Then she asked me to submit a quote for further investigation. Haverty's did send a check to get our repairs fixed and credited the delivery charge for the second delivery, cause they hit the wall as well. ***** Haverty's Inspector came and fixed the sofa, the back of one couch section was off, we haven't had any issues with it again (we don't really sit over there...I guess we better start). However, the love seat we had to call twice for and each time he was able to fix the issue. Juan Moreno came out today, he fixed the armrest better than the factory. Thank you Juan. A little bonus wouldn't hurt. Overall experience, we ordered 5 items and had issues with all except two. Classique Chaise- I said "hey Miss Cassie if you have this in gray it's mine" - it looks good in my room. No issues. Edisto Accent Cabinet- Memorial cabinet for my Mom, Cassie listened to our emotional story and we came out with this-No issues Ellis Sleeper, queen- This caused the damage to the walls - downsized to a Full. It looks nice in the upstairs office. It was still a beast to get upstairs, these were experienced delivery me for sure. Stetson Loveseat- First one of the armrest was worn, so we received a replacement. The second one the same side armrest my elbow pushed down the "strong" cardboard they have in between the frame. As I said before Juan made it better then the factory. I wish he would do the other three. Stetson Sofa- First one the back chair was uneven- we received a replacement. For the money we spent at Haverty's this is a lot... we just made our first payment, all we want is to be happy with what we purchased, man it's hard. read more

We ordered a dining room set in May and are still waiting. This is a problem. We were offered in July a chance to take floor model and told it was in perfect condition. I went and looked, scratches on table in several places. Havertys was only willing to wave the delivery fee. If I wouldn't have gone to check personally and just believed the sales person we would be stuck paying for a beat up table. We are still waiting. The point of buying furniture is to have the furniture. read more

The furniture we purchased around two years ago. A beautiful and very expensive sectional has not held up. They do not stand behind there warranty that we purchased. Current update...just found out that the ottoman that was mis-ordered in November of 2020, that was corrected in July of 2021, that was supposed to be here at the first of December 2021, then was changed to end of December, then was changed to January, then February...has now been changed to August! This has got to be against some commerce law or something! I can't explain how beyond disgusted I am with Havertys and ALL of the excuses they've made. If you can't deliver on your word, then just let me know and I will go somewhere else! What a complete sham. Update to last update... I found out today that the ottoman, was actually delivered to the store last week. Was supposed to get a phone call, from two people, when it came in. Never happened. Spoke with store manager today and was told I could come by and look at it and they would offer it to me 'at a reduced price.' I explained that Havertys was supposed to swap it out as they ordered it incorrectly, with mismatched feet. Then said manager agreed to let me swap the feet out. Ha! This place is an insult to military and veterans! Let me start by saying I do not believe that every place needs to give a military discount. I am however appreciative of those locations that do and I support businesses who support our troops. For anyone that complains about entitled military, you live with your own convictions. I just believe that if a business supports military and veterans, then we in the military community should support them. It's a win... win for those who serve and the business. However, when I last visited Havertys I asked if they had a military discount because just about every furniture place gives at least the standard 10%. If they said "no we don't, I'm sorry..." I would be okay with that. But what left me completely flabbergasted was when they told me they gave 2%. Seriously? 2%... you might as well just offer no military discount. What you are saying to your military and veterans equals to pretty much a slap in the face and I will never purchase a single piece of furniture from Havertys. And one more thing about those that speak of military entitlement. Guess what. I frequent a sandwich place that gives one over a location that doesn't. Don't waste your time buying a mattress here... we all know buying a mattress is a complicated process and one where you're not going to "find a great deal" but these guys are incompetent and disrespectful. My wife and I bought a bedroom set (which is fine) but we also sunk $4k into a mattress that we were really excited about. The mattress we received looked the same since it was also a black beautyrest but was DEFINITELY not the same mattress... it's honestly like laying on a massage table and I am not the person to throw away $4k without knowing what I'm purchasing. We go back into the store and some guy named Steve told my wife and I that they had mistakenly shipped the wrong kind of black beautyrest (different SKU number) and some long complicated story about how it was our saleswoman Patti's fault and some inventory problem. Anyway Steve says to come back in a couple weeks and they'll have a new line of mattresses that we can replace ours with.... about a week goes by and Patti calls to say that the new mattresses actually won't be stocked and Steve was wrong. Then goes on to say I was wrong and I got the mattress that I purchased all along. It's ridiculous how hard they've made this purchase. I'm flat out returning this overpriced pos and finding somewhere else to buy a mattress. Also, the delivery people ripped a strap from the mattress and tried to hide it without telling me by putting the mattress protector on... we all could have been happy if they just shipped me the right mattress and skipped the part where they told me I'm wrong, wasted my time, and gave me a broke and incorrect product. If you're going to be screwed over by buying a mattress I at least suggest going elsewhere and skip the Patti and Steve show. read more

I ordered a couch from Haverty's in April 2021, I paid in full at the time of purchase, nearly $3K.... It is now April 2022, and I STILL don't have my couch! I get an email update every month telling me that the expected delivery date is pushed back another month. It took 6 months before I could get ahold of anyone in management and all they did was reimburse me about $100. This is absolutely ridiculous. They cannot deliver on the promises they make. Sales person was friendly but persistent. For a $750 chair, the delivery charge is $99 regardless of how many pieces or distance - 4 days later! I live very close tote store but, of course, the furniture comes out of a warehouse. If I bring my own vehicle, they couldn't guarantee there would be someone to help me load. Not only did she take time to speak with a designer for the store that does unique pieces, but she took time to review their entire inventory to determine if she had one on the showroom. Overall, my favorite furniture store in Fort Worth. Really great selection, good quality and customer service. Carol, the sales lady, has always been very accommodating and goes out of the way to make I was satisfied. I have to deduct one star because I left a message for Carol to call me and it was never passed on to her. Turns out, the person who took the message was working her last shift that night and apparently didn't care to leave a good impression on her last day of work. Like their product but sales person is very pushy. They advised me to buy a guardsman product and haggled me for it and made it sound like a dream product. I was told they will clean my sectional if any life accident happens. - no question asked. I thought I was buying peace of mind. But instead I got robbed out of a couple hundred. My claim was denied and I followed their protocol. I wasted a few hundred bucks on a worthless product and bought a cream color sofa knowing my toddler would destroy it. Talked me out of getting a grey sofa. And I called customer service just now the lady had the nerve to tell me " that's a part of life to get your claims denied" customer service is going to file an appeal but I'm not holding my breath. I shopped at This Haverty's in 2011. Worst experience of my furniture shopping experiences. I bought a brown leather couch and loveseat. Notes: #1. It was not cheap and I was told it was genuine leather. #2. I have wide eaves all around my home. Sunlight does not get into the rooms of my home. Within only a couple of weeks this furniture began turning orange....YES...Orange! What I had to go through was near impossible to get Haverty's to take this furniture back and give me a full refund. I documented everything as the weeks went by. Documenting every phone call and every conversation. I was the one calling them on each phone call. During those weeks I was lied to many times over. A furniture repairman was sent to my home to evaluate the matter. He tried to convince me that sunlight had done this. He could not point out the sunlight that would have come through though. The two pieces were not even sitting near a window and even if they had the wide eaves prevent any sunlight from harming furniture or even drapes or valences. He then decided to try to convince me it happened from the lighting coming from the two overhead fans! Lol! He left with me telling him I wanted the furniture to be returned. Weeks go by. I gathered my documents and headed off to the store to demand the furniture be picked up. I wasn't leaving the store until I got fully refunded. They would have had to let me sleep in there because I wasn't leaving until I received complete satisfaction! Lesson learned I did find a furniture store in Granbury right off the square. Wagon Yard has now fulfilled my every expectation in furniture. I'm a faithful customer. They are honest and back everything they sell. No worries ever on what you buy there. Speak to Terry, Sam or John, Amanda and Donna. This is a family owned business. Mike and Grayson deliver furniture. They all take care of their customers. You will feel like family as you get to know them. They deliver furniture quickly after you purchase it. You won't regret your shopping experience at Wagon Yard. Update- downgraded my already poor review. Battery pack was supposed to hold a charge for 3 months ( salesperson lie) after they replaced my battery saying it may be defective I still have recharge it every 3-4 days. They also come to your house at their convenience not the customers. Twice I told them when I would be home. Example - anytime after 12:00. They would call at 10:00 to say they'd be there in 30 minutes. When I said I told them I wouldn't be home until noon they rudely told me I'd have to reschedule . If we delivered according to what worked for us instead of the customer we'd be out of business. I will tell everyone I know to Beware when buying furniture at Havertys. read more

This store has very nice furniture in a variety of styles. I have purchased a couple chairs and a loveseat. I love to look at their displays. The sales people are very knowledgeable and nice, especially Carol. She pays attention to what you say and shows you the furniture that meets your requirements. She knows the inventory very well and doesn't waste your time showing you stuff you don't want to look at. She isn't pushy and she didn't hover when I wanted to look around. Pro Tip: you can ask for the salesperson you want to work with, even if you haven't worked with them before or it is your first trip to the store. read more

I bought close to $9,000.00 worth of furniture and we set up our delivery date for Tuesday. The day before delivery day I called the store to confirm because I had to reserve the dock and freight elevator at our condominium and I also took time off of work to meet them there. When I spoke to Haverty's they said they show that Blake, the store manager changed it to Wednesday. I asked if it could be moved back to Tuesday and they said no. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they transferred me to the store where I purchased the furniture. Same answer, no. I asked for a refund, which I am hopefully receiving soon. My salesman apologized - never heard from Store Manager Blake. Thanks a lot Blake, back to square one! Very disappointed in the unprofessional way they handled this situation at this store on S. I will agree with the other posters comments concerning the sales staff, but this is about the furniture delivery primarily .. the experience was not good, delivery people not communicating, not pleasant, not helpful .. they left 2 pieces of furniture, that consisted of 1 damaged and 1 completely broken piece, Haverty's apparently isn't concerned, no call about the damage, no call about replacement, no call to say 'sorry' ... I'll buy furniture somewhere that actually does have customer service, because Haverty's doesn't care except to make the sale. read more

The sales people were friendly, and that's all that was good about them. I apparently bought four bookshelves from Havertys' "Look mom, I made it myself" product line. The delivery people were two hours late. Then they dragged bookshelves across my wood flooring leaving scratches. I ordered four bookshelves that were supposed to be solid wood. After being assured by the sales people that the shelves were all solid wood, we discovered upon delivery that the shelf inserts were particle board. Worst of all, the bookshelves were so poorly manufactured that it wasn't possible to assemble them without extensive and time consuming modifications. Most of the holes for the shelf brackets weren't drilled deeply enough, and I had to re-drill each hole by hand (a power drill would run right through the side of the bookcase). Even after the holes were drilled to sufficient depth, the shelves were over-dimension and would not fit between the shelf brackets. Getting the shelves to fit required either hammering them into place or removing material from one side of each shelf insert, and I quickly found that hammering the shelf inserts onto the brackets damaged the shelf bracket holes. So on each shelf insert, I had to chisel away material so the shelf could fit over the brackets. Strongly recommend you avoid doing business with this company at all. read more

Terrible first experience with Havertys. Ordered 4 pieces and 2 were damaged upon delivery. We had to wait a full week ( with our clothes in boxes as the old furniture was gone ) to get Havertys to replace the furniture THEY DAMAGED. This was not because it wasn't in stock - it was because they had no available delivery times to correct THEIR MISTAKE.The next delivery was scheduled between 1:15 - 3:15 and was eventually delayed until after 7 PM. I had to cancel this delivery as I was not available 4 HOURS after my appointment. We then had to wait 4 more days and this delivery was over 4 HOURS LATE as well. The entire time, with the exception of a single email, all communication was initiated by me, the customer, not by Havertys. I did get a refund of the delivery fee but this was about respecting me as a customer and respecting my time - NOT about the cost or the compensation. Also, I received my first bill before the furniture had even been replaced. I was told by customer service this was because Havertys showed my delivery as completed. They had no problem collecting their money and a big problem honoring their commitment to me, the customer. STAY AWAY form Havertys and purchase your furnishings elsewhere ! read more

If I could make a Zero star review I would, the Hulen location and the call center have been horrific to work with. We purchased a couch at the end of April and it was delivered at the beginning of June, with this purchase we bought the special warranty. There was a large rip in the back of one of the sections and mutilated fabric on a cushion. Even though the delivery person saw these "problem areas" we still had to call and schedule a technician to come out and review. They came out and determined a new couch piece needed to be ordered and a new cushion cover needed to be ordered. The actual couch piece was never ordered and the cushion cover was ordered but now we have been battling the delivery for weeks. The call center is a glorified apology station! All they continue to say is "I am sorry, can we reschedule that??"! I spoke with someone on a Thursday about a time to deliver, they said they got manager approval to get the time changed closer to when I could make it work. On Friday the delivery technician calls at the original window and says he is almost there to deliver. This was 3 hours before the agreed upon time frame that was confirmed on Thursday. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with the Customer Service Call Center to only end up with the delivery technician leaving the cushion cover on my door step! So much for white glove/top notch service! Guess who will have to figure out how to put the cushion cover on and hope there are no issues with the replacement.... thanks Havertys. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT HAVERTYS. read more
