We were looking for an end table and rug to go with our new modular leather sofa that we bought from the havertys in Carroll wood. We were helped by a young man named Ethan Mann. Ethan was well dressed, clean cut and well mannered for a 20 year old. We spent a couple of hours looking at items. Ethan picked up tables and placed them next to a sofa exactly the same as ours. Ethan also called on the lady designer to help my wife find rugs and tables to best match our sofa. We finally found an end table that was perfect for our needs. Ethan had one in stock and unboxed it and wrapped it in bubble wrap and placed it in our suv. This was the most pleasant shopping experience I have had looking at furniture. Most times I am under enthusiastic looking at items over and over. The staff at this Havertys in Tarpon Springs was not close to where we live but it was worth the drive. Ethan helped make our visit pleasant and even the young ladies that processed my credit card were upbeat and very friendly. Even with the highway 19 roadwork making visiting all businesses along that highway difficult I would still send my friends there for their furniture needs and to ask for Ethan Mann to be their salesman. read more

We bought a westcliffe dining table and the tabletop started peeling after the one year warranty!! We called Haverty and they said they would try to find a repair person but could not guarantee that they would be able to. I called back and they said they could not find anyone and that it would be up to me to find one in my area. The point is that the quality of the table is horrible. Specifically, it is used only on special occasions and has failed already. I tried leaving a review on the Haverty website, but a message keeps comng up saying"...an ad blocker..is preventing the message...." In other words it seems the site may not accept negative reviews which is why I am posting here. For the extreme price I paid, it is now an eyesore!!! read more

in the past three years I have acquired 2 leather recliner sofas. I also purchased the Guardesman Warranty. With the first sofa our claim was within the warranty period and Haverty's replaced the sofa because they could not get the parts to fix the sofa. when we received the second sofa we purchased the Guardsman warranty. In OCTOBER I put in a claim to Guardsman for color wearing off one of the arms of the sofa and for loud squeaking when reclining. guardsman declined the claim because I reported the damage 10 days after i first noticed the damage. I requested that Guardsman cancel the warranty and refund the prorated amount. Today I received notice that they will not refund the balance of the warranty. BUYER BEWARE read more

After reading review upon review about furniture stores in the surrounding area I decided to give Haverty's a try. Phenomenal decision. Mike at the Palm Harbor store was wonderful in helping me find the furniture pieces that I needed and he stayed in contact throughout the ordering/delivery process so I knew what was going on the whole time. They have a solid defect policy where if the furniture arrives defective in any way you keep that piece until the new one can be delivered and swapped out. This happened with my dining room table, I noticed a crack in it. It was nice to still be able to use a table while I waited for my new one to arrive. I didn't have to go back and forth with anyone trying to convince them to help me, the customer service is top-notch. I bought my couch, dining table set, and some rugs, and 2-years later they still feel brand new, great value. I'm going to be a returning customer for my bed because I know I can trust the service if anything goes wrong. read more

Nice collection of various dining sets, unfortunately not what I am looking for at this time. We have had a problem with one of the sofas we bought the motion stopped working but they were able to get someone out to take a look. Haverty's Furniture possesses the worst customer service I have ever experienced. In March, I purchased a recliner that cost me over $1500 dollars. It was promised for May, 2021. It was delivered in April. In late April my chair malfunctioned. I called customer service. I fully explained the situation and filled out (on line) a request for repair. The head rest automatic control was inoperable and caused me a lot of problems because it was frozen in a completely open position which made the chair extremely uncomfortable and unfit to sit in unless fully reclined. After reporting the problem, I was informed by a rep from Haverty's that they only have one representative in my area, and that he only visits our area once per month. I was given a date two weeks from when I called, and a time frame to be determined. The day came and went and the repair person never showed up. I complained and the CS rep at Haverty's gave me another date. That date came. A completely incompetent repair man showed up at my door, unprepared to fix my recliner. He had no repair parts and the ones he carried weren't the right parts. He diagnosed the problem as a bad switch OR a defective headrest motor. He then left without doing a thing. While he was there he complained that it would take him a long time to change the motor. He said he would order the motor and a new switch. After waiting all that time, I called Customer Service and they were completely and absolutely un-responsive. They said they did get a part request for the switch, but the motor wasn't ordered. They wanted to schedule another visit to install a month down the road. I asked why he was sent without the parts to begin with. They said it was their Logistics department standard practice. No apologies. Well, the motor was evidently ordered by the CS person and shipped directly to my home. I was never informed. I was e-mailed that the switch was with the technician. By the way, I requested a different technician be sent to my residence. I was assured there would be a new technician. I was also asked to make another appointment. I went on line and was given my choice of dates. There was only one date listed. What a joke! I had no choice. May 25th (I think), guess who showed up. The incompetent technician. They completely ignored my request. Anyway, he was suppose to call when on the way, and never did. I'm glad I was home. He swooped in and said he would be quick. He certainly was fast. He installed the switch, and did not change the motor. He said he had never worked on this type of recliner (Interesting that he was billed as having 18 years with Haverty's). I kept the motor, now gathering dust in my closet. In his haste, I was not given the opportunity to check out his work. The headrest was working and didn't need a motor anyway. Apparently, it was a defective switch. He flew out the door and quickly put distance between my residence and himself, because he knew in his haste, if I found anything wrong, I would probably detain him to fix it correctly. Well, he did install the switch upside down. He was so quick to get out of my residence because he knew I would discover what he'd done. Purposefully or not, that man should be fired or at least retrained. If he had 18 years with Haverty's, I'd say he forgot all he learned or did what he did as a vindictive response to the insufficient and idiotic unprofessional practices of his company. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FURNITURE DEALER TO ANYONE. That is my review! read more

If your planning on buying some furniture you need to make sure you ask for Michael Real. Michael has a heart of Gold and truly cares about you finding the right couch, bed or whatever you need. I have severe back problems and I also have a beautiful service dog. He spent a lot of time with us ensuring that we got the right couch and other items that would come together for a complete family room set. There was no way I could've made my family room look like Magnolia Farms. We are very grateful for Michael's help because our family room truly looks like a Million Dollars. This company has the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with in my life. I ordered a table at $750. I agreed to pick up in store as the delivery charge is stupid expensive. We show up to pick up the table, and the damn thing was not even assembled. No where was it said or I was told I would have to assemble anything. As the drive to the store is 45 min each way, I said I guess I will assemble myself, as I was not going to have to come back. I get it home, unbox the thing and assemble it. Turned the table over and the top is defective. I call and they email me a form to fill out and attach 2 photos. Did what they asked. A week goes by until they say that it can be exchanged for one that is not defective. Buuuttt... I will have to bring the defective one to the store for the exchange. Really?? I have to make the trip at my expense to replace a defective product that they sold me?!? I tell them this is not acceptable. Why am I to be inconvenienced for this? I want to speak with someone who can make this right. Then they play the game that they do not deliver to my area. Funny, they wanted to charge me a stupid amount to deliver in the first place. Hmmm. Well here we are 15 days later, and still no word from any manager, supervisor, or Santa Claus. Every day I am told that someone will get back to me......... Ordered a small Chest for blankets. Paid $500. Received it via shipping (not delivery) and when we opened the box it was half crushed. I purchased furniture from the Clearwater store 8 months ago.  I was offered 24 months free financing from their bank, Synchrony.  We ended up returning a piece of furniture and replacing it with something else.  In the end, I had two interest free promotions on my account, one for 24 months and one for 6 months.  The 6 month promotion had a starting balance of about 1100, so I paid synchrony $200 / month to pay off the 6 month promotion in 6 months.  I was recently hit with over $300 in interest charges.  When I called Synchrony, they said that my payments were being applied to both promotions, so I did not pay off the 6 month promotion.  I was charged 30% interest on the full balance from day 1 (over $300).  Synchrony was unempathetic and rude when I called.  I called Haverty's they were the exact opposite.  Even though it was not their issue, the store manager took complete ownership and issued a refund for the amount of interest that I was charged.  This is incredible customer service and Haverty's has earned a loyal customer for life. read more

They thrive on their products made in the USA , bought two accent chairs , legs weren't even screwed on properly. 50% off sales really aren't 50% since they mark up the prices. would not recommend spend ur money elsewhere. read more

Like them;however, when I complained about dining chairs padding wearing down, I got this story. "you are no longer under warranty after one year." Riverside dining chairs..STAY AWAY FROM THIS MANUFACTURER. I live alone...no children are here...the chairs have been used about FOUR TIMES, AND THE SEATS ARE WEARING DOWN. they look like new, because they really haven't been used. When I REFUS Joan ED TO PAY FOR REPLACEMENT SEATS, the gave in and ordered two seats. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO HANDLE THIS MATTER! The mfgr. Should be advised, and Havertys should CEASE CARRYING RIVERSIDE!!! I know the new seat cushioning they give me are going to go down as well, nd I am VERY DISSATISFIED with this DR set. Recently bought a leather sectional from this location. We worked with Victor and PJ. Both were very helpful and worked with us on the price. The 2 men who delivered it were here within their time window and did an excellent job getting it in the house (without dinging up the walls or baseboards) and setting it up. I purchased a sectional sofa and recliner at this store approximately 3 years ago. The furniture was represented as being semi-aniline leather on whatever parts the body would come in contact with the furniture. I was assured that I was not buying "bonded" leather. Now, the seat of the chair is peeling, just like bonded leather will do. I contacted customer service and explained the issue and sent photos of the chair. After multiple phone calls and back and forth e-mails, they advised me that they could send someone to repair but that I would have to pay for it. I feel that they falsely represented the furniture. They are misleading and do not stand behind their furniture. I would never purchase from them again. read more

I ordered a China cabinet on line and delivery was set 3 times. They cancelled twice and called after the delivery time to say they can't make it and I would have to wait till next day , Call back. And then they would reschedule the delivery . They have the worst service. I will probably cancel the order. I have to wait till next day for that too!!! read more

My wife and I bought a high top table with 6 chairs. We also bought the warranty from Haverty's. From day 2 of having the table and chairs, screws began to fall out of the chairs. To be fair, this table is used daily and I have 2 young boys, however, screws should not start falling out on day 2. We called in to Haverty's to discuss our warranty and the warranty department then told us that we used our 1 and only claim previously to discuss a scratch on the table (which could not be repaired). Chairs now would not be covered and they have no idea why the sales people told us it would be. There was nothing we could do and to this day we paid for a warranty that frankly, was not honored. It came to the point that the chairs would drop screws and you could hear the screws drop on the ground when sitting down. It turned out to be an on-going joke when friends or family would come over. I make it a point to let them know its from Haverty's. We are building a new house and I will buying new furniture as well. I know where I will NOT be buying my furniture. I will say this, that the delivery guys were great and very helpful, hardworking guys that were very professional as well. read more

Visited Haverty's to buy new furniture for our family room. This is the first time I have ever been to Haverty's. The consultant was friendly and mildly helpful. To his credit, he did not put pressure on us to buy something. As we focused in on the furniture we wanted to buy, I asked when we could expect to receive the furniture if we bought it today. We were told it would be delivered in 3 or 4 days. Once we made the decision to buy, we went to the main desk to pay for our purchase. After we paid for our purchase, we were told that the furniture would not be delivered for 16 days! The sales rep gave us a bag with two bottles of cleaning solution. He said this was a gift from Haverty's for our purchase. I found out later that they charged us for these two bottles of cleaner! I probably will not visit Haverty's again and certainly would not recommend them as a good place to buy furniture. Buy elsewhere. read more
