I went into this location at about 5o'clock 530 on a Monday and every sales person was sitting around in chairs. No one greeted me. When I asked someone a question about a table, they gave me some vague answer. Completely unmotivated to sell anything. I know that Shelley and Inga were both there that day. I had no desire to deal with anyone there who just sort of gave me a quick once over glance and a dismissive turn of the head. Basically ignored the moment my spouse and I walked in which was about 10 mins after opening and the employee to customer ratio was severely tipped in their favor. Needed to look at mattresses and got "assistance" from an older salesperson who appeared to at first have an attitude problem. Managed to ignore most of attitude but the biggest downfall, besides being incorrect in a few statements regarding mattresses, etc (which I researched and later confirmed with another salesperson at another store) was the complete lack of active listening. I was continually interrupted, received unanswered questions, and constant attempt to up sell rather than listen to the customers wants and needs. We ended up going down the road to the other new furniture store where we got less...for more money might I add (no adjustable base), etc but the found an agreed upon mattress we both wanted as the sales team LISTENED. Sorry Rooms To Go. We tried. We have resided in the Tampa Bay Area for several decades and any time we need or want new furniture we do the rounds- Kanes, Hudson's, Ashley, Macy's Furniture, Barre Wood Essentials, used second hand stores and now City. I purchased my sectional April 2024 I also purchased the extended warranty because the salesperson Stephanie assured me that cleaning was included that if it was damaged by my pets it would be covered by the warranty if it sags if the cushions tear. BIG compliments to Rooms to Go and their entire staff for a flawless purchase & delivery! We went to the showroom. Looking for a bedroom set. We were promptly greeted by Mary Ann who let us wonder through the store by ourselves as we requested. (We hate high-pressured sakes!) By the time it was time for questions to be answered & the order placed, she was extremely helpful & patient. Applause for the perfect amount of attention by MaryAnn! Delivery was scheduled with a guarantee that we WOULD receive our bedroom & mattress NO LATER than the promised date. And that's exactly what we got! Three delivery personnel brought our bedroom on the promised day within the time frame that was promised for that day! Do not buy their ModularOne sets, you will have ongoing issues, furniture is very low quality. I purchased a ModularOne set on 5/10/23, and I've had nothing but issues with it. Within a few months of purchasing the set, the chaise piece and the middle chair piece started making a creaking sound whenever we would get up off of the couch (no one in my home is overweight or weighs more than 145 lbs), so there's no explanation for this other than poor quality furniture. A tech was sent out in April of 2024 since the issue was not improving, but the tech was unable to successfully fix the creaking noise. I contacted customer service to advise that whatever the tech "fixed" did not resolve the issue, and it actually made it worse. They offered to replace the set and it was replaced in May of 2024. Again, after a few months it started creaking intermittently, then it started creaking all the time, and still does, and is progressively getting louder. I don't understand how Rooms To Go can sell furniture that they know is poor quality. This is the second set I've had and I'm having the same issue which clearly indicates this model is defective. I would like to know what Rooms To Go does for customers when there's clearly a defect in the furniture they have sold to a customer that they've already replaced once. I don't have any pets or young kids so no one is jumping on the couch, the couch is well maintained but it clearly has structural issues. read more

As I sit here on Christmas day I remember how this place treated me about as terrible as any company ever has. Ordered furniture here and they delivered it warped beyond repair several times. They promised me on the phone they would check to make sure what was being sent would not be warped. It was every single time. No one likes being lied to. And after some how they couldn't figure out their own job I was informed that I had to pick out new furniture due to their incompetence. Which blows my mind for sure. So I was informed by the furniture repair or replaced I could either pick out whatever I want and receive a credit for what I already paid for. Which would require me to return to the original store no matter where I found it or I could request a refund in person at the store. Which is completely ridiculous considering this is what I wanted and all you had to do was open it and make sure it wasn't broke. So I went into the store to request a refund. Manager Nick was completely absurd. Never even gave me a chance to explain my situation. Told me deal with the broken furniture or pick something new. He did not care about my experience and treated me and my family terribly. I am astonished a company as well recognized as Rooms To Go allows managers to be like that. He is the single worse person I have ever delt with. I highly recommend you avoid this place. I have always been treated fairly by Amazon. And will probably just never buy anything form here again. I purchased a leather reclining sofa Avezzano model in September. The couch was very comfortable in the store. When it was delivered it's like sitting on wood crates. I hoped in a few weeks it might be comfortable. It is not!. I went into the store and was advised I had to get a tech to come out?? Ok I'll play along. Well that was a waste of time. Bottom line they will not exchange this couch I'm stuck. I purchased a recliner on 3/07. Afterwards I received MULTIPLE text messages advising me of my delivery time frame; and instructions to click on a link in order to confirm. As irritating as this was, I did so every time I got one of these messages. Delivery day arrived. The first text I get states delivery is scheduled between 11am-3pm...same as the previous text messages. Then the next text I get states delivery is expected between 12n-4pm. Then I get a phone call (from a real live person) telling me the delivery truck will be at my house at 4pm. The delivery truck finally pulls up at the front of my house at 4:36pm. Their delivery scheduling reminds me of 20-30 years ago - when dealing with the phone company or the cable company. Back then the best you'd get was your appointment is between 8am-4pm; and you had no choice but to cancel any plans/appointments you had and be tethered to your house all day. With today's technology, you'd expect better. But what can I say, Rooms To Go scheduling sucks! read more

I placed an online order for living room furniture. Never once did the item(s) show that they were unavailable or backordered. If that was the case, I never would have ordered. When the order was complete and I paid, only then did the delivery time show 3 months away! I attempted to cancel the order right away, but the online site grayed out the section for my orders. It said some nonsense about "my email was not yet confirmed". I went to check 3 times that night, but no email was there. I called the 1-800 number and the representative tried to keep me from canceling. I finally said I wanted the order canceled and that is final. The guy said, "ok it's canceled. Anything else?" When I said no that's it...he hung up immediately before I was done speaking. Then I come to find out that I never received an email verifying the cancellation. I checked my credit card and it indeed move from pending to an actual charge! Even though I canceled within a half hour of placing the order. I spoke with an online chat representative and he verified it was canceled, but tells me the charge will be there 5-7 days. ??? Really? That should be illegal. I will never order from them ever again. And I've already told several other people I know about this. Stay away! read more

Don't bother getting anything from rooms to go. My husband and I bought a lamp. ONE LAMP! Wait a week ok no problem, the problem is we got a notification of the delivery day but no delivery time. We thought it would be ok to go about our day run errands that we'll get notification of a delivery time or maybe no time frame bc it was just a lamp maybe they would leave it. Later that day got a call saying that the driver is there. We said ok we're 30 minutes away you can leave it at the door. They said they can't leave it at the door and could only wait 15 minutes. We're 30 minutes. We called and was told that the delivery would now be in mid December! We asked to pick up the lamp from the warehouse we were told they would call us back. Got no call back. Couple days later we got notification of the delivery now being today but then a $50 delivery fee would be added on. My husband called and then was told there will be no extra $50 charge. Don't know who was trying to make an extra $50 from us. So we got a notification that the delivery of the lamp today was for around 12 ok perfect we thought finally getting this lamp! Then changed to around 1pm then it changed to around 2pm then around 3pm we called customer service and was talking to someone that can't problem solve just read the premade answers over and over. Customer service can't figure out what happen or contact he hub location to find out a more precise time the Fing lamp would be here! It's currently almost 4pm we had to cancel our entire day over an Fing lamp!!!!??!!!!????? DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ROOMS 2 GO! I went to clearwater rooms to go and found a sofa (really a sectional with left and right recliners). for the price with power. I got the price but had just started to look, so I left and tried a few more stores. I decided on the rooms to go one and returned about an hour later (several stores in a row, so it makes for quick shopping), talked to the same salesperson, confirmed the price again, and made sure they were power. The display was not power, and we make sure we specified power several times, even commenting that we already had power one at home and loved it. There are no prices except an 8/10 sheet of paper with 50 items, so you are relying on the salesperson for information. Also, on the invoice, nowhere does it say no power or power, something I pointed out at the time of sale and was reassured for the 3rd time that it was power. The salesgirl was new but had a supervisor with her when I was checking out. The supervisor sat down in a chair nearby to watch and could hear all our conversation. He never said to us that he was an employee, and anyone would have thought he was a stalker until she asked him a question. So, the sofa is delivered, and we notice that only one side is power. I called to say there was a mistake, and they said, "oh no, those were both supposed to be non-power." I explained the situation as above and asked them to talk to the salesperson. Their response was she was off today and said I could get a refund, but I would still be charged the delivery charge (99.00), and they could not pick it up for a month. That when they did pick it up, they would have to look for any damages or wear. Or we could buy a power one at an additional cost of 400.00 - 200.00 for the new one and 200.00 for the one we got plus delivery. So, at this point, my options were to refund and lose money for their mistake and trust (after they played the bait and switch already) that they would pick them up and not say there was damage so I could get a refund. Or pay 400.00 additional dollars plus 99.00 delivery to get the correct items I was told I was getting when I made the purchase. I called the customer service number but was told there was nothing they could do that you have to deal with the store. I called the store and asked for a manager to be told no manager was working that day. I asked for a return call to see if they had talked to the salesperson but never got a return call. I get those things to happen, and people make mistakes, but when I tried to correct it, the store acted like we stole their furniture "you should've got the power option." My advice to you is to stay clear of this store and Rooms to Go. But if you do need to shop there, make sure what you are told is spelled out in the receipt since they will scam you if you do not. read more

Went to RTG to purchase a couch and love seat with recliners for both. Found what we were looking for and purchased them. My wife contacted the salesman, Scott B. by phone seven days later and asked if the love seat we purchased could be WITHOUT the console. Scott B said absolutely, and the order was changed. Nothing else was said to my wife. When we received the furniture, we noticed the love seat DID NOT recline. When we contact RTG and spoke to Scott B about this he became somewhat defense. He stated he told my wife the love seat without console is stationary. I can assure you he did not say that. If we knew it would not recline, we would have cancelled the order immediately. I have no complaints with RTG but would never want Scott B as my salesperson. read more

Tim, a man who looks like he works to help move furniture (not a salesman) yelled at my 6 year old daughter and demanded she get off the bed (I was in front of her, and she was rolling on the bed. Not jumping). I explained that this was not the way to speak to a six year old and that he should speak to me. He walked away and said that he thought she'd break a lamp. I suggested he apologize and he shrugged his shoulders and said WHATEVER. After speaking to the manager, he still wouldn't look at my daughter or apologize. I have never seen a manager treat employees and food delivery people so rudely. This guy ordered food and an older lady delivered it. She was late, food was cold, told her she was incompetent etc. we just watched flabbergasted that he would speak to someone like that in front of customers. When I walked into the store today, a man approached me asking if I needed help. When I told him I was looking for 2 nightstands, he told me to just walk around the store. I asked if he could assist me by guiding me in the right direction, since i was looking for specific grey nightstands and didn't want to waste time walking around the whole store. He then told me that I should try to shop elsewhere or try the outlet store. This is the 2nd time a sales associate at this location has not wanted to help me. To refuse to help me and tell me to shop elsewhere is TERRIBLE customer service. Yesterday, I purchased my 3rd couch from RTG. I had issues in the past with them, but I liked being able to put it on a RTG card and have very little interest charged with promos and so on. I walked in with both kids and a friend and started sitting around on the couches. My kids were rambunctious and I was frequently herding them over to me. At one point, I said something to my child and the sales woman (Margie Radoll) said, and I quote " I wouldn't have put it like that, but ok". As in, the way I explained something to my child. She was super snooty and it was so obvious that all she wanted was a sale. She boasted that she has been with them for 12 years and she knows her stuff...however when I purchased the couch I had chosen, I asked her if the tables (end and coffee) displayed were part of the 5 piece package. She looked at the ad displayed and said they weren't, that in fact they came with different tables. I asked her why they would advertise the set with the couch and tables yet no sell those tables and instead some other cheaper looking ones. She didn't really answer, just kind of blew It off so I opted out of purchasing the 5 piece and went with the 2 piece instead. I already left with a bad taste in my mouth due to her clear goal of making a sale versus actually being genuine, and then low and behold. I look it up online at RTG and those tables (the displayed ones that I would have purchased) were in fact the ones that came with the set! So, I missed out on a 5 piece set, and she missed out on bigger commission. She failed. This will be the last time I go to RTG. read more
