Migration Taco - Fried avocado and Buffalo tacos. Love!

Their tacos are even better than my tacos, and I hold tacos to high standards. There's your everyday, throw something in a tortilla with hot sauce because you're hungry kind of tacos, and then there's the top-tier tacos that you dream about when you use the drool emoji. Migration Tacos are drool emoji worthy. My personal favorite is their fried avocado taco. Every avocado lover knows that fried avocado is the pinnacle of avocado sorcery. I also love the things they do with seitan and BBQ. The only problem with Migration is that their tacos are so filling, I can only eat one or two when I want to eat them ALL. And maybe a breakfast burrito... Migration serves brunch as well - last Sunday at Epic Brewing I had some green chili cheesy grits from Migration, and they were dreamy. I could have eaten those grits all day. I had the migas tacos (and ate one) but I was eyeing my husband's breakfast burrito. I wanted to try a bite, but I was too full of grits. Get your vegan taco fix. If you're in Denver and hungry for tacos, be sure to chase down Migration. As their name implies, location is subject to change. They're regulars at Nooch Market and Alternation Brewing, and this summer they'll be at the Highlands farmers market. Follow them on Instagram to see their weekly schedule. Because everyone needs more tacos in their life. P.S. Migration Taco uses all compostable containers and utensils, because they care about the planet. They're cool like that.

Amazing to have this truck down in Rodeo, NM off highway 80. If you're a herper (looking for reptiles/amphibs), birder, bug person, nature lover, or just a taco buff and find yourself in that area, definitely give it a shot! I had the breakfast burrito and a fried avocado taco. Mighty tasty and filling. They go to Hatch, NM, and get their chilies. The real deal here.

There was a consistent steady flow of customers, eating in and picking up orders to go. On this frigid day I think that is a testament to the quality of the establishment. The decor inside is delightful, they have potted plants hanging from the ceiling with vines sprawling out, growing along strategically placed lines across the ceiling. Several playful piñatas are strewn about. It was a quiet, calm atmosphere. Even with the grills and ovens clearly cranking the dining room was chilled. Handmade signs are everywhere most in Spanish, with some English translations underneath. Laminated menus are also available. We waited what I thought was an appropriate time for our food, the items were brought out at separate times. One item completely forgotten, so we took it to-go. Fine though we were stuffed with what we had. We had ordered one steak and one shrimp taco (3 of each came out) definitely a miscommunication but sour cream on the side was noted and came on the side. We also enjoyed chips with a spicy green salsa, along with a voluptuous chicken quesadilla.

Every bite tasted homemade, not rushed or generic like big chains. The food was authentic, delicious, portions were huge, and the quality really stood out. On top of that, the people were kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the experience even better. If you're looking to support a small business and enjoy amazing Mexican food, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll absolutely be back. i could not take pictures due to me diving in the food as soon as it was ready . i recommend eating theere while food is hot

I got the steak taco salad, and what really sold me was that everything was chopped into perfect bite-size pieces :) It made eating it so easy and enjoyable. My friend ordered the birria tacos and whew... that cheese pull did not disappoint! I also loved the outdoor seating. It's cozy, quaint, and gives the perfect little setup to eat, chill, and enjoy the nice weather. This spot is officially on my return list!!

I can put down quite a bit of food so if I order the "three traditional tacos" then I'm usually left wanting just one more... so I typically go for the burrito to try and fill up a bit more. The chorizo is delicious and seasoned very well. The salsa verde that is served with each taco/burrito is also delicious. During winter they put up some "bubble" tents outside with heaters. They don't have much seating inside and if the restaurant is busy then you might be caught in a pickle... but I've been lucky enough to find a free table here reliably. I've been visited by out-of-state friends a few times and I typically introduce them to this restaurant (as one of my local favorites) and they usually love it.

We ordered a half rack of ribs to split, waiting about 15-minutes for our name to be called (too long for two people frothing at the mouth for it). The ribs came undressed, but you could help yourself to as much sauce as you like at the counter. We tried both the apple and chipotle sauces, preferring the former, which was sweet and smokey. It paired perfectly with the tender, fatty ribs. When I think back on it as I am right now, I salivate. My husband also ordered their brisket sandwich (available only on Sundays), which looked just as appetizing as the ribs. The meat was cooked wonderfully medium rare with a charred exterior and a slightly pink interior. My husband ate that heartily. It was one of our favorite bites of the trip. I'm envious of my past self for enjoying that meal while I sit here now, craving it but unable to have it again.

The photos online looked amazing, but unfortunately, I don't think it lived up to expectations. Being next door to their marketplace, the space has a laid-back vibe--bright, well-lit, and it smells really good. The two people working the front (one taking orders, the other handing out food) were friendly and welcoming, which was a nice touch. We ordered the ribs, brisket, bratwurst, potato salad, mac & cheese, and fries. Of the meats, the brisket was probably the best--good bark, and not dry. The bratwurst was very dry and definitely needed the mustard. The ribs were far too salty, and I wasn't a fan of their peach BBQ sauce. The sides were pretty solid. The mac & cheese was okay, though it could've used a bit more seasoning. The potato salad was solid, and the fries were good. The pickles that came with the entrees were also tasty. All in all, a bit disappointing. When the sides outshine the entrees, it says something.
