To purchase this property, Diane needed to help sell our 3 condos all within the timelines to make a 1031 exchange work. Of course, nothing goes super smoothly, but Diane calmly addressed each of the many issues (helping tenants clean up for staging, standing by as a plumber addressed a higher unit's tub leaking into our bathroom ceiling, having back up buyers, helping buyers quickly get their financing, working on condo docs with the seller to name just a few.) Despite a number of unforeseen issues that popped up, the 3 sales to make the 1031 exchange work were closed in less than 3 months, we ended up with a home that we are super happy with and ALL WERE DONE WITH A SMILE!!! The mix of modern comforts and artistic touches made it feel like the perfect getaway. We loved the spa-like bathroom, especially the rainfall showerhead. The beds were super comfortable, and the local artwork throughout the condo gave it a unique charm. The large windows filled the place with natural light and the lanai offered delightful partial ocean views. The kitchen had everything we needed to make us feel at home. Great restaurants and shopping were all within a very short walking distance. Although bus stops were conveniently located one street over, we loved having a parking space ONSITE for our trips to the other side of the island. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and the perfect beachside retreat in Honolulu. We left feeling refreshed and can't wait to come back!

After we sold our home, we hired her to help us buy a home. At the same, she rented us a studio in her multi dwelling home. After paying her $9000 up front for the rental, she stopped helping us pursue a property we were interested in. In fact, we asked her to put our offer in for 2 weeks before she decided to up and quit on us. This not only made the seller reconsider us as a potential buyer, it cost us an additional $10K to show how serious we were. With some damage control, our new realtor was able to secure the offer. Since then Tasha has not returned a call, email, text to either my husband or I. In fact, she put her 19 year old son in charge of the property who has no idea what he's doing. He has been corrected by me and other tenants re: landlord tenant code. In fact, she doesn't seem to know much of it at all herself. As a previous landlord, I know the law. I would expect much more out of a real estate agent. That being said, I'm not sure if she represents your office as a realtor or as a property manager. My position here is not meant to complain about your office but about the agent who unbeknownst to us works out of your office. (Her card actually has the Hyatt Regency as her Coldwell Banker office). There's a lot more of this that I rather not disclose because we will be filing a complaint with the Office of Consumer Protection as well as an ethics violation with the Association of Realtors.

I needed a reliable and trustworthy property management company to list my condo for rent. I am…read moreusually a very "hands on" type of person but I had too much going on and needed someone to take this off my plate. Thank goodness for Kathryn and her team at Kang Realty. The condo needed minor repairs and a thorough cleaning before it could be listed. Not only did they get a handyman and cleaning team in there right away but they listed it online in under a month! Two weeks later, they found a tenant who put down a security deposit and signed a contract. I've heard plenty of horror stories about bad tenants so it put me at ease when Kathryn told me about their vetting process. They won't just let anyone rent your property without doing a background check and in person meet. During this whole process, Kathryn constantly sent me updates via email/text so I always knew what was going on. Not sure if I was lucky or if this is how Kang Realty usually works but it only took them 6 weeks from our initial meeting to signed rental agreement. Luckily while searching, I had found a unit available in the building of where one of my best friends live. It was literally on the same floor, a few doors down. What are the odds?! I contacted their listing I had found online & immediately heard back from them to set up a showing. It was then that I met Kathryn, who while showing the unit to me was very informative & patient with me. I was pretty much set on wanting to apply for it (who wouldn't wanna live so close to their bestie?!), so I was vocal about wanting it. The entire application process was so quick & smooth + luckily, they approved me! I was ecstatic. It's been a little halfway through my lease & I have to express the immense gratitude I have towards this company. They are an excellent group of such personable & professional people. Just recently I've had a plumbing issue with my tub being clogged. I contacted Kathryn yesterday who immediately told me that she put the work order request in & the plumbing company should be contacting me. Less than an hour later, a guy told me that they would call me before noon today. The plumber ended up contacting me, arriving before 10am today & in less than 15 minutes, fixed the issue. I was amazed! The promptness & efficiency was exceptional. During this pandemic, they have also been so great about communicating whether it be for rental payments or to even offer a rent reduction/work out something for payment for those affected by layoffs. But when I found out from my husband that he wasn't satisfied with his work,  I reached out to Chipi and asked if we could get a partial refund since we weren't happy with the job. I told Chipi we were gonna honor his time and wasn't asking for a full refund.  But he declined and offered to fix what he did (although my husband took apart what Chipi did and rebuilt it himself) and I kindly told him we don't need his deck service and then he offered to give a discount on a future job. I again, kindly noted we don't need his assistance on a future job. He didn't want to compromise on a price adjustment even though we weren't satisfied.  I'm a small business owner myself and I'm all for helping other local business owners out, so it's very unfortunate that Chipi didn't want to accommodate in any way especially since the clients weren't pleased.
