Not sure if this is a company issue or a problem with our specific property manager but the lack of urgency for the reported issues within our home is appalling. We have contacted them about a large ceiling mold growth over a month ago and have not had any steps towards a solution yet (this is after they sent the initial plumber to assess the situation who also pushed it as an urgent matter). That plumber cut a hole in the ceiling and we have had an open mold hole directly above our stove in the kitchen lol. We have been stuck having to contact and schedule the company appointed plumbers ourselves only for it to fall through. This is a problem that needs to be legally taken care of within 3 days before we can take our own action but we have been kind enough to wait this long for the property manager to provide a solution. I feel as if they think we are ignorant of our tenant rights and taking advantage of that. ** At this time, I would not recommend any property owners use Agency for managing their rentals. You will be wasting your time and money with them and be at potential risk for liabilities. Will update if necessary. read more

I had high hopes when I used Agency Rentals to rent a unit in Fairway Villa in Waikiki. The agent who showed me my unit and walked me through the leasing process was professional, polite, accommodating. The building does not allow surfboards or bikes in the elevator, but the Agency Rentals rep told me that there was storage for both in the back of the building. But after I moved in, I found out that there was no room in either, an endless wait-list, a $50 charge, and that there'd been thefts from the bike storage and the surfboard storage was exposed to the elements. Ever since, it's been downhill. Obviously, Agency Rentals are an advocate for the owner and not at all so for renters. They did not inform me of a 14-month repiping project that was scheduled to start 6-months into my lease. It has been an extremely disruptive time, involving elevator breakdowns, FOB breakdowns, intercom breakdowns, lack of running water, limited to no access to the pool or roof deck, 3 weeks without guest parking, much of it outside of Agency Rental's control, but they have made little to no effort to make up for the inconveniences caused by the building's board/management. I do not recommend working with Agency Rentals. read more

Trying to find a rental can be an exhausting process, it's nice to finally have someone pick up their phone and be a pleasure to speak with. After calling several companies, this was the only one that actually picked up their phone. The rental that I was interested in had already been rented, but it was great to have someone that actually seemed to care and took the time to answer my questions about the current rental market and the neighborhood that we're looking in.
