Just wanted to share my experience with Dr. Phillip Hersh at Hawaii Elite Chiropractic. I was referred to him because of my chronic vertigo attacks. The last one was really long, lasting about 5 weeks. I tried meds and therapy options through my primary physician, ENT, acupuncture and tried numerous other methods such as Epley maneuver. I am so thankful that Dr. Hersh spent over 45 minutes asking questions and only then speaking to potential reasons for my vertigo. Given my history he was able to isolate the issue and after only a couple of session sessions he successfully cured by vertigo! If you ever watched Dr. Tubio on YouTube and said I really need that, well Dr. Ohira uses similar techniques. Yes, he uses the Y-Strap and if your wondering what that is, check him out. I've been searching for Chiropractor that does side body adjustments, back and the Y-Strap for a long time, look no further. I had tightness in my lower back and hip area from Cycling and sitting long periods at work. Dr. Ohira adjusted me skillfully after they thoroughly went through my online information that is required prior to your appointment. Again also when you're there, they'll ask you a lot of questions and check your body movements before the actual adjustment. X-rays might be needed if the pain or injury is more severe. What is the verdict after my first adjustment from here? Pretty much life changing, he cleared that lower back tightness after years of just living with it. Dr Shaun is great. During my first appointment, Dr. Shaun took a thorough history. I explained I had an acute sciatic attack and had been to acupuncture, physical therapy, and was on baclofen. Given I was 20 wks pregnant at the time, I was not able to take other meds and my mobility was limited. Dr. Shaun took special care to explain to me the risks and benefits of treatment and massages my aching muscles. The magic was in the cracking. After treatment, I left feeling rejuvenated and great! The staff at Hawaii Elite Chiropractic are always welcoming. Their office is located in the Aiea Medical Building on the 4th floor which is conveniently central from where I live. Two year update and things are going great!!! I come to follow up primarily for maintenance on my pain, meaning things are much better! I also work in environment where my body can become easily tweaked or misaligned. Lately I've easily chosen to come see Dr. Shaun first for certain tweaks here and there in my body before going to the ER or Urgent Care and Dr. Shaun within one session is able to get that straightened out. My husband came in about 3-4 weeks ago and Dr. Hersh is amazing! He recommended my husband to come once a week due to his lower back pain he had for years. Also, he found other stuff wrong with him which he didn't even know he had. We went in for his lower back, Dr. Hersh examined him and later found out he had really tight tension behind his head which was causing bad headaches and migraines. The one caught us off guard was one of his if I can remember correctly one of his pelvic? Bone was not in place. With three sessions out of the six weeks they have scheduled, he feels so much more relieved! The icing, stretching techniques and him walking 30 minutes a day to feel how the pelvic? Bone making its way back to normal. Now he is on the strengthening stage! Dr. Hersh is top notch and I would recommend to anyone! Do not hesitate to book an appointment! Totally worth it! I was impressed from my very first visit. Dr. Yamada did a complete assessment and immediately started working on my concern areas and areas he saw as concerns.
