At their very first appointment, Dr. Rachel removed her scrubs and mask, sat beside my daughter, and simply talked to her. My daughter was in tears before the cleaning even began, but Dr. Rachel gently walked her through every step, letting her hold "Mr. Thirsty" and explaining how each tool would feel.
